| Comments: | My sister Joy Zeron and myself visited Carman last summer 2008 and visited with our cousins Jane Swanton, Marianne, Carol and my Aunt Betty Peasgood. What a lovely town, we hadn't seen Carman since we were children and could hardly believe our eyes how much of a change had taken place. We were taken to dinner at the new golf course, a perfect evening. We enjoyed other family members and decided we would come back and spent more time. |

We have this young man from Carman on our USHL Omaha Lancers hockey team. His name is Aaron Lewadnuik (spelling could be wrong). He's having a great year. For being one of our younger players, he's turning into one of our top scorers. Check out how he's doing at lancers.com. The Omaha Lancers is in first place in the USHL right now. The USHL is one of the top amateur leagues in North America. It may be the number one recruiting pipeline for top college teams and the NHL. Keep an eye on Aaron. | Comments: | I arrived in Carman Dec. 28/1951 as assistan accountant in
Bank of Commerce. Maanager was Angus Gillan,accountant was Vern Britton. Fell in love with the town and also a local lady, Florence Jean Gardiner(daughter of Bill & Dolly Gardiner and sister of Alice W. McEachern), married her Aug 16/52.We lived in Winnipeg since 1955. Jean passed away in June 2006, is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.I'm moving bacck to Carman soon as it is really home to me and is still a quiet, beautiful place.Tell Alice you saw this note. |

Can remember golfing with dad on the Carman course when a Spit Fire flew by. That was a least 35 years ago. The fair was the highlite of our early years on vacation. My sister is married to Glen Carr from Homewood. |

| Comments: | My grandparents lived in Carman. I visited as a child. It seemed like an almost magical place to me. I have many fond memories of Carman and my McCullough/Avery/Millroy ancestors. I remember the Carman fair, swimming in the Boyne, wonderful summers and everyone who made Carman special for me as a child. I am now approaching 60 years of age and will always think of Carman as a special place. |
