At the moment i am trying to find out as much as i can about the breed via books and internet before i buy to make sure i am making the right choice not only for myself, but also for the cat. I wondered if you have any litters planned for next year (08) and if there is any reading material that you know of that is particularly good. | Comments: | I shall always be grateful to Jaci, her mum and her family, both two and four legged. Since contacting her five years ago, our Ragdoll family has grown from the unsurpassable Guinezz, who is the boss in this house, to gorgeous Smirnoff and finally to the cheeky Jack Daniels. They are all the most gentle natured, beautiful, loving boys, and have converted so many people to Ragdolls. Everyone from stoic farmers, to people who aren't normally animal fans, to big burly chaps who have passed through our home to fix things have all been reduced to "aaws" upon meeting them. They are all a credit to Jacis' care and attention, and Guinezz is also a testament to Chris Hendersons amazing home and love. I cannot imagine life without these boys, and could not recommend Addictikat highly enough. You will be guaranteed a kitten who has been planned carefully, bred to the highest standards, and reared in the most warm and loving home. A credit to breeders and the breed, I am always glad of the day I found Addictikat and Jaci. At the moment my boys are helping me study by walking in front of the computer screen and lying on top of my notes, life is never dull with a Ragdoll! |

just a note to say how delighted we are with our new kitten (Smokee), this is the second ragdoll that we have had from you, smokee has settled in with no problems at all and is having great fun with misty and the rest of our extended animal family,and he is gorgeous. prior to meeting you jaci we had a unfortunate experience with a rogue dealer where we lost our deposit but on hindsight probally saved ourself a lot of pain and heartache, it is easy to see how dedicated you are to your cat family, from the first meeting to choose our kittens till present you have showed a very profesional manner indeed , and we would reccomend that anyone wishing to own a Healthy Happy bundle of joy should contact you and follow the simple proceedures that you have put in place to ensure that your babies go to the best homes possible, once again Jaci many thanks for all your help and advice and all the best for the future. You made my family and I so welcome when we came to visit to see your kittens and their family. You can tell the kittens are brought up in such a caring environment, and I am so impressed by the measures you take to ensure each kitten goes to the best possible home. Our kitten is so friendly and affectionate we have named him Takoda, which means "friend to everyone". I feel privileged to have him as part of our family,he's fantastic and we all adore him. You are so dedicated in what you do and you do it brilliantly. I would have no qualms recommending you to anyone who is serious about having a Ragdoll cat. Jaci is a fantastic breeder! I previously had a ragdoll cat from a DIFFERENT BREEDER! Unfortunately I lost this cat to kidney failure when she was just over 2 years old. I was most upset about this, and wanted to make sure that my new ragdoll was from a breeder who I knew a lot about and who I trusted to be breeding their cats in the correct way, ensuring that there was no chance of any complications and that they would grow up happy and healthy. I spent many hours talking to Jackie on the phone, and when I visited her lovely house to view my first kitten I expected to be there an hour or so, but in fact spent a lot longer there (not that you needed to, but I had so many questions to ask). Jaci was brilliant! We talked over many things, and I went away knowing that my new kittens could not have come from a more loving home, where Jaci treats her cats like one of the family. She shows so much love for her cats and kittens, and she would not let a kitten go to a home where she felt they may not be given the same level of care. This is why Jaci insists on seeing her babys prospective new owners first before allowing them to go to their new homes. As Lisa`s comments said, we also wanted to see the environment they came from (having learnt the hard way previously). It is a wonderful experience to see them all playing together and SOOOO well looked after. It is an experience not to be missed! We even video`d it so that we not only had a visual memory of her first few weeks, but also one of her playing with her brothers and sisters. I would recommend buying a kitten from Jaci to anyone. | Comments: | Jaci, A very big thank you once again. Yesterday we collected our beautiful little girl, Jingle Belle(Bella) to add to our own ragdoll family. We already have two boys from you, Louis and Murphy, twins from Lou Lou and Blazer.
From we first contacted you over five years ago,you have always impressed us in the way you care for your ragdoll cats and kittens. We were looking for someone who would welcome us to visit before deciding to purchase a kitten. It was very important to us to see the mother and father as well as the kitten, and to see the environment the whole family(human and feline) lived in. Since then you have always been there to answer any questions we have and are always delighted to recieve updates about our boys. Bella has had a very good first day and night. Louis is still unsure of his new little sister, but is already coming round. Murphy is very interested in her, as she is in him. My parents and I are delighted with our new little girl and are taking turns to cuddle and play with her. To anyone looking for a ragdoll kitten, the double journey, first to meet Jaci and her family, then to collect you kitten, is more than worth it in the lifetime of enjoyment, in a kitten first reared in a loving and caring family home.The three hour journey from our home in Erskine to the Addictikat home in Laurencekirk has been well worth it to our ragdoll family. |

| Comments: | In reply to the recent comments from Susan Plowman regarding the so called booked kitten.I would like to say that first of all any communication regarding this kitten was with a Steven Plowman and not Susan Plowman. The said kitten was not booked. My policy before selling any of my kittens, is to meet the prospective owners and to allow them to meet both myself and my ragdoll family.If both parties are happy I would then ask for a deposit to secure their chosen kitten.
I explained this to Mr Plowman during our telephone conversation and offered to send a photograph of the kitten to allow Mr Plowman to see him before making the 2hr journey to visit. At this stage Mr Plowman text me to say that they wanted the kitten. However after hearing nothing for several days, I contacted Mr Plowman to arrange a visit.Mr Plowman then text me again {a method of communication I do not feel is appropriate when selling one of my ragdoll babies).I asked Mr Plowman to call at this point,as the family still had made no arrangements to visit. At this stage I pointed out that a deposit would be required to book the kitten. When I spoke to Mr Plowman to arrange a visit he explained numerous difficulties and agreed to call me back to arrange a suitable time. Mr Plowman made no further contact for a week during which time I had several other enquiries for this kitten. As there was no further communication from Mr Plowman I felt that his commitment to this kitten was not in my kittens best interest. I have bred ragdoll kitten for 10 years and always take the greatest care in placing my babies with what I hope to be the most loving, caring permanent homes. I am sorry if this family feel they were treated unfairly, but under the circumstances I feel they were not the right family for my kitten. I wish then well in their search for another ragdoll baby.I will continue to do my very best to ensure all my ragdoll babies go to the correct homes. Jaci Gilchrist |

| Comments: | After meeting you and seeing your lovely kittens, what an eye-opener it was, the cleanliness, special care and love you give to your ragdolls and kittens is quite something. Seeing the kittens playing together I had to have 2. I could hardly wait to get these beautiful brothers home. What great natures they have and so affectionate. They are 1yr old now and if I ever want any advice I know you are there for me.
