Jessica's adoptive mother is dying of cancer and has been given two months to live. She is moving here with me after she passes along with our three grandchildren! I have been working on a book entitled "The Promise" which I hope to publish soon. It is about our story of pain and loss, and 29 years later to find love, forgiveness and a new life together! My life has totally changed all because of a woman I have never met. My book will be dedicated to her. I have written Oprah and received a response back for a taping on adoption reunions and we are also going to be interviewed locally here on Wave3 on Father's Day by Carrie Weil in Louisville KY. It is my desire to touch as many birth mothers as I can to give them hope. There needs to be more pubic awareness for birth mothers. We need to step out of the 'darkness' and be proud of the sacrifices we made so long ago and embrace the future, whatever it turns out to be.
