| Comments: | Hi, I can't say that I totally agree with the choise of team I mean the Chicago Blackhawks SUCK! Try cheering for a real team like Ottawa. If you are a just learning the rules of hockey I must say DO NOT. Watch NHL hockey games! THe refs STINK! I'm a 13 year old girl who love the game of hockey and I think its sad the way the refs have destroyed the game. I honeslty think that I could do a better job than most NHL refs. I can name TONS of times the refs have messed up lots of games. The GM's are also really sad. They were there together and all they could think of was rule CHANGES, how about keep the rules the way they are and just make sure they are called! |

I think that your forum would be a hit if there wasn't tons of pop ups when you do a single click. your site is the BEST that I have found concerning the rules, and now I am going to buy four tickets to a game near Cleveland, Ohio. Too bad the hockey leauge doesn't get into the schools to explain the game, I'm sure it would become a hit if they did, Thanks again Rich |

this last week, as to weather they had changed the rules for an attacker standing in the crease when a goal was scored. It hasn't changed. for rules that talk about starting and stopping of play. Specifically, when a play shoots on the goalie and the goalie has his glove on top of the puck which is on the ice, can the offensive player poke at the puck if the ref has not blown the whistle? If this is in the rules book, can you point me to the location? Thx in advance! |

| Comments: | I was just trying to find an NHL rule that explained the
policy on the "in-the-crease" rule, but unfortunately you don't seem to have it here. Could you please display more current rules than 1997? The 1997 Rules, I think were just before they developed the in-the-crease rule, so as it may turn out the in-the-crease rule is not here. |

| Comments: | Obviously, after game 6 of the finals, a lot of people must be trying to figure out the call by the officials on Brett Hull's game winning goal. On the surface, the comments by the official at the post-game press conference seemed to make sense -- the offical spokesman said that because Hull was in possession of the puck there was no violation of the rule against being in the crease. He claimed that there was a written interpretation of the "goal creae" rule by the HNL that supports his position.
Thanks to your web site, Iceman, I have now been able to read Rule 78(b) and it would appear that Hull was literally in vioation of the Rule. Care to shed any light on this controversy? Any idea where we can get ahold of the "interpretation memo" referred to by the NHL spokesman? Phil Umphres |

Tried to find an answer in the Rules, but not there. Toronto, Canada (the home of hockey), It would be great if you could find the offcial procedures for the 2-ref system. |

| Comments: | Great site. WE just started in the NHL here in Music City
and we love it. Figuring out all the rules have been tough, but your site has made that alot easier. Suggestion- have a download site for the entire NHL rule book. Thanks GO Predators! Get Bit! |

| Comments: | I love this site!!! It totally cleared up any questions I
had about anything to do with hockey (ICING). It seems like either no one is sure what icing is, or they just don't feel like taking the time to explain it if they know. It's bookmarked and I will be back A LOT! :) |

| Comments: | I like your site so much I'm going to set it up as a link
from mine!! Just one thing - there wasn't an explanation of what actually constitutes Gross Misconduct (as opposed to "ordinary" Misconduct). However, it's still a great site and I'm looking forward to the VirtuRink. Why not have pictures of all the refs and linesmen on that page too? Cheers and good luck for next season and a survey into who dishes out most penalties would be interesting! I ran a survey on the Czech Extraliga guys for part of '96/'97 and the results, specially on total minor PMins and Major Pens were worth studying - what does it say about the refs? the players? (Haven't got it on site tho' cause the stats were incomplete). Cheers again for a great site!!! |

| Comments: | You have a great web site, and there is a lot of helpful
informtion on it. However, I have to agree with some of the other women who have signed your guestbook, you should definetly consider making a "Women's Hockey Rules" addition to your site. |

great website. I have only started playing a short while ago and your pages are exactly the kind you need, to look up any rules or gestures by the referee. Nice one, thanks for the information. Shame I can't take my computer onto the ice... Bas |

| Comments: | Jon is doing a research paper on hockey in school. He needed to take some rules off the net as his part of the assignment. Because of the copyright laws, he wasn't able to take off the net what he needed, but he can show his teacher that he reached the site and tried!!!! We did get some things that will help the presentation. Thanks! |

| Comments: | This is a great site. It's easy to spend a lot of time here.
I liked the cartoon type drawings of the official signals as they a bit clearer to see and understand than the smaller illustrations. The Illustration of the "Three Main Rules" was real good too ( I'd love to see more like it) .Can't wait to see the "Virtual Rink". Nice job on your site, it will be recommended. |

| Comments: | A friend of mine was a big hockey fan, and he introduced
me to the game about 6 years ago. He was a huge LA Kings fan. I chose the San Jose Sharks as my team, and I am a HUGE Sharks fan (GO SHARKS!!) Anyway, we ended up moving to different areas, and eventually lost touch. I still love hockey, but most of it was still a little alien to me. And then - I found your page!! My wife (we just got married) is becoming a big hockey fan, and your site makes it easy for both of us to learn what's going on. Great job!! |
