I was your waiter. I played it kind of cool, but it really was thrilling coming face to face with someone who had such a huge impact on so many musicians, as well as the history of rock. Plus you linked to my old frozenup DeepGreenSea site...=) Comments: Great website, please keep up the great tribute to the band that is the 'soundtrack of our lives' here. Your site is one of the greatest cure sites ever: Chain of the Flowers might be the "Daily Times" for The Cure, and Afoolisharrangement is in many ways the "FLICKR" of the Cure. It's a simply beautiful site. I'm not particularly fond of the phrase 'shout out', but certainly a big old nod and bow to the LOO crowd. (Anyone in the dark about the cure loo...well.. ought to stay that way, really - It's better that way). Oh, and dig your little fish fetish too - happy scuba-ing!

I found your site searching for info on the Cure playing at the San Jose Civic Auditorium in '85. How did you find this site? Google Comments: I remember that day vividly. We got to the auditorioum at 8 am to get as close to the stage as we could, and my girlfriend and I went and has sex in an elevator at the nearest parking garage while our friends held our place in line. Then we went with our friend Valerie (I think that's her name) to the Hilton across from the auditorium and stole a sheet from a maid's cart. Val put it under her shirt and we ran out of the hotel acting as if she was having a baby. The show was great, Head on the Door tour and all that, I can't recall the set list after all these years but I remember this weird stuffed creature kept dropping from the rafters and Robert would grab it. I believe it was striped. maybe about the size of a weasel. Anyway, if you could post the setlist I'd appreciate it.

Comments: You must get a lot of mail from ooglers...I have something of a cure collection myself and would divulge its contents if asked, but obviously you lack nothing. At best we can barter trade secrets, I suppose. I hope you get to read this, and if you ever become open to trading do let me know as there are some items you have that do interest me. I have always listened to the cure. Nowadays I collect and find that the more I look into them the more there is to see. That's what drives my fascination with the band. Rare off the market cure concerts and videos are really something to live for...Some things are only on LP and it can take serious equipment and software to transfer them to a digital medium, but this should only be done to preserve the music, not redistribute (Mr. Smith is keen on holding onto his rights to the music, look at the 1990 splitup). By random research on Yahoo Comments: I have a question for you:I have seen a movie about 10 years ago in wich they play the Cure song "Fascination Street".I dont remember its title and i would desperately like to buy it! Maybe you can help me! Here are some clues that might help you: the main character in the movie wears a baseball cap with NASA written on it. His brother is in a gang and has a pick-up truck with "Natas" (the word Satan reversed)written on the hood. There is a scene in the movie in a psychiatric hospital.Finally, the girlfriend of the main character does some liquid nicotine as a drug(!). I know these informations might sound a bit weird, but this is all I can remember from the movie! So many young people now get into The Cure for the whole gothic label that is attached to it (as if The Cure is part of some goth starter kit or something), but you are a true fan and that is so nice to come by!

Comments: You obviously put a lot of time and effort into compiling these Cure and related photographs...you have by far the most pictures I've come across on a single site! I looked through all of the band photos and all of the Robert photos, and they were very enjoyable. Thank you so much for the interesting site; I could bop around here for hours. Yours is the only collection I've seen so far that embodies every aspect of the Cure in their long career...the joyful, the despondent, the angry, the personal, the candid, the just plain silly...it's all here! You've made this Cure devotee quite happy.
