Last year in March my wife visit Georgia and Florida. She heared the song on the local country station Remember When. Who is that ....???? In May we came with the whole family to Florida en again on the local country station we hear the song... What a great voice !!! they said Alan Jackson. Here in the Netherlands-Europe they play on the radiostations only the old country songs of old country artists. Whe drove to the Malls and looked to the cd-shop and yes there was the cd. | Comments: | In July of 2003 my husband and I are driving our daughters down to Nashville as they have been signed by a manager and will be doing their first official Nashville demo at Row Pro Records, Red Horse Studio on 17th Street. Ron & Joy Cotton met with us back in February and interviewed and listened to our girls, now 15 and 18 and want to give them a boost !!! I've admired Alans talent and quiet stage presence as he reminds me of my husband although alot taller. I am thrilled to see that your family relationship is long standing and strong with such a career schedule. This is the only worry we have that the road to success is hard on relationships. I also admire the closeness Alan has with his girls. We have always enjoyed simple country pleasures and since Chris and Liz were little our most enjoyable outings were spotting deer, fishing, hunting and working outside on our farm. It would be a thrill and an honor if we could sometime meet. Both of our daughters have been singing since very little and have a unique mix of experiences and influences along with their individual sounds to hopefully combine as a successful new duo. Good trucking music always made my day or night a little easier…you know toe-tapping stuff. Back in the 80’s I tried to get a break from trucking…right! I tried my hand a being a DJ on a local Country Radio Station…all right, I was in control at last! It was at that time I ran into a character called Jerry Dillon, didn’t know him from Adam…said he was a singer/songwriter, ok what’s the catch here. But he was just a regular guy like us Truckers. He didn’t know the difference between a Cat or a Cummins engine, but I liked the guy, he was promoting some song he had written and recorded. I gave it a listen…this boy was good, no doubt. The road was calling me again so I quit the Radio Station and got a good job driving doubles, hauling milk in Washington State, but I was like a kid trying to sprout wings, I had to run… Interstate here I come. As the years and the miles flew by, I kept in touch with Jerry and as I sang gospel music I wanted him to succeed. I was determined to produced him and introduce him to the trucking industry. In the winter of 2000 I tried my hand a being a lease/operator…a bad! Bad! experience, but thank God for O.O.I.D.A.(Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association) who taught me a lot, they were like family to me. But the stress of driving and government regulations took its toll when I took a hit with pneumonia, bronchitis and emphysema in one shot…darn near killed me. At the same time Jerry’s heart was giving out and he ending having a heart transplant. In 2003 I had to give up my gear stick and steering wheel and took out a lifetime membership with O.O.I.D.A and hit the road for Idaho in my motor home. It’s a long road home, finally I was going to produce a CD for Jerry and my trucker friends who knew me as “Crocodile” on the CB. We named the CD “Man of Mystery”, remixed all the best songs and hand made the covers and single-handed burn the CDs just to give you guys the personal touch. Jerry wanted me to give you this message: “Even though I am not a Trucker, I sincerely appreciate what you professionals have to put up with and the hardships you have to endure, so we, who don’t fully understand can live a better life. If my music can bring just brief joy to your lives, I am blessed. This is the first time in 10 years that Alan has not performed in the Palace of Auburn Hills,Mi., I have gone to every concert since he started comeing to the Palace, my friend and I have spent the night in her Van, so we could be first in line to buy tickets and I'm a Platium Club member, my husband and I go every year to Fan Fair in Nashville, and we just went to see Alan in Memphis Tenn. in November 2002, he was GREAT as usual, we had 3rd row from stage seats, like I said I LOVE ALAN, and I have loved his music, since the 1st time I heard him sing REAL WORLD on the car radio, that was even before I knew what he looked like.
