We have friends in Malaysia which we long to visit. The last time we were there we swam around the marine park, that was awsome for my family. My daughter really enjoyed herself. Although the trip from Canada is quite long I will be back to visit again very soon. Malaysia is a beautiful country and has the best of everything, except snow. I really hate snow. Well done Alex. This is a very useful website not only for 1st time visitor to redang, but also for others as a place to learn to appreciate the mother nature. I like it the way that it's very user friendly, well organised, up-to-date, informative with useful tips, gallery and forum. I'm impressed that this website is pretty successful, especially it's non-profit and created whole heartedly, passionately and sincerely. since 1997. I'll surely recommend this site to any friend, and educate them what i have learnt from here. So eager to visit redang!! =) Thanks for the efforts. Tuesday, March 4th 2008 - 10:42:13 PM |

Alex, Excellent luck - you managed to see a seahorse! Shame that the report on the coral life seems like they're deteriorating rather quickly. Your site is very user friendly and always informative. You've inspired me to go to Sipadan too! regards, Liz Monday, February 4th 2008 - 09:20:19 AM |

Hi, a rather nice Layang Layang trip report. I am glad my pictures in the bar wetted your appetite for the beautiful reefs of the sland. I have one small request though: The aerial image of the island which you credited to New Straits Times, is actually my picture that was pblished by NST in one of my LL articles. Could you please change the Copyright line to reflect that, otherwise my publisher is going to give me a hard time. Thanks & safe diving Kurt Friday, August 3rd 2007 - 06:56:23 PM |

Just got back from this amazing island. Stayed at Coral Beach which was great. Island is beautiful – sand white, sea crystal and warm, people very friendly and happy to have you visit. Only one thing I would say was negative was the music from the hotels at night – why so loud? Surely they do not need to blast it out in paradise? Otherwise this is truly my sort of paradise. Diving excellent and the dive operation at the Coral was second to none – brilliant, knowledgeable staff who care about the island and the sea. This web site gave us all the information we needed prior to our visit thanks. Jackie - England Sunday, July 8th 2007 - 02:58:46 AM |

Thanks to this site we discovered a gem in Redang Island. We stayed at Laguna Redang. Hats off to them for running a superb service.Excellent service. The reefs are unbelievable. Inhabitated by a mass of colorful fish of all sizes. Had a ball handfeeding hundreds of fish. Unforgettable experience. I am already planning for next trip there. We came all the way from New Zealand!!! Monday, May 28th 2007 - 10:51:49 AM |

Needless to say, my trip to Redang was amazing and memorable (26-29 Mac 2007). In fact, I've made my decision to make it an annual event to visit Redang ( despite being so tanned after the trip!! ) This website has been so very helpful and provides all the necessary information needed. It made my planning easier and know what to expect. N best of all, it's up to date!! Once I set foot there,I was so reluctant to go home. So yes, Redang is officially my second home. I would like to give my praise and thanks to the staff at Redang Reef Resort. They are truly dedicated and friendly as they don't treat us as guests but as friends. Thank you very much to Din, our snorkel guide. A real genuine guy with a kind heart! Miss ya already! Sunday, April 1st 2007 - 02:46:18 PM |

I really enjoy reading this site. Thanks for the wonderful info. Well, I went to Redang last year Mar during the school holiday. Before the trip, I told myself to be mentally prepared for the 10hr or so journey by coach(as I'm not used to). But guess what, the moment I reached Laguna Redang, I felt so fresh and could not wait to got to the beach. I was happy that I've already arranged for extention of my stay there. I really love the place. I really enjoyed the snorkeling trips. Btw,I've planned to go there again next month. Hope to have another wonderful trip... Saturday, February 24th 2007 - 04:44:37 AM |
