I was born in 1979 and grew-up watching that movie. But since it's not a Disney flick, it's not all over the place like other kid's movies. Anyway, I have been trying to remember the name of that movie for years and years, and nobody I've ever talked to about it even remembered it. I had actually almost started to believe that perhaps it had all been a dream that I THOUGHT was a movie. Well, I sat down at my computer last night and searched and searched and searched. I tried every word search I could think of that included various key words from scenes throughout the movie (the pile of sand with the tweezers, the little red car, etc.) but nothing worked. After almost an hour of fruitless searching (on yahoo.com and imdb.com) I tried one more search: "+sunset +conductor +"messes up"". And will you believe it, your page on the Phantom Tollbooth was the first one?! As soon as it loaded and I saw those distinctive pictures that look so much like the animation of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, I knew I had found it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I picked up a copy at the library this afternoon and will--later tonight--for the first time in probably twenty years, watch The Phantom Tollbooth. And I owe it all to you...

But I used to have my Dad make my brother leave the room, just so he wouldn't laugh hysterically at me while I did. Jerk.
