Comments:Hi,
It was brought to my attention that in a previous post I mistakenly put the name of another web site in my e-mail. I meant to refer to All Things Ukrainian.
Over the past 8 years I have found their products to be very helpful. This year, I purchased a beautiful stand for displaying eggs which was not available on other sites.
I apologize for the mistake.

Comments:Hi,
I have found that when I go to drain the eggs after varnishing them, that little bits of varnish have come off of them, probably when I take them off of the drying board. Usually, I can take a marker and touch them up and use a little clear nail polish to repair the finish, but it's frustrating when everything else works well to have this flaw. Also, I have just recently tried some farm fresh brown eggs as Christmas ornaments with very satisfying results. They are particularly effective for simple one color designs such as snowflakes, but just as nice for paisley designs.

Comments:I have purchased pysanky supplies and educational materials from Ukrainian gift shop on and off over the past 8 years. I have found the prices and quality to be excellent. The speed of shipping has also been very good. The only thing that frustrates me a little is that sometimes the dyes have a pastel quality on the white eggs rather than the vivid colors that I had expedted, the blue, puple and dark red. I suspect that it has something to do with the egg itself. however, having had some practice over the years, I seem to be able to work whatever turns out into a successful design and have improved my skill gradually.

The site was easy to use and the order was processed quickly and efficently.

All of this and other Ukraine traditional recipes and art-crafts. I was blown away!!! Keep your site as full of information as you can, dear. If I could vote, your site would be #1! One tiny detail...if you can put each step on a single page, instead of having to hit a goto button, it would be great. Other than that>>>>>>> #1!

Comments:John et al . . .
You have a wonderful website and have enjoyed my tour of it this morning...spent some time looking around to see what I would like to purchase and efinitely Pysanky supplies. I made many a kistka when living in Canada [over 17 yrs. ago] to use in FREE beginner classes I gave for kids [I'm NOT a professional but enjoyed doing it with my children at Easter - so much more fun than just dying eggs!] And where I live now, our local library asked if I would do a class this coming Easter & I'm thrilled to do so. However, am missing my craft box with the supplies so this led me to a google search and I found YOU!!!
Hey, am a 2nd generation Canadian with full-blooded Ukrainian roots [mom & dad] and soon to be a genuine Ukrainian-Canadian-America! Yup, my swearing-in takes place this December.
Are there any "Ukes" out there in the Dayton, Ohio, area? If so, I'd like to meet some of them.
BTW, my paternal grandfather was born in the "Austrian-Galacia" area too [came to Canada as a small child with his parents in mid-to-late l800s] & I've often wondered where in the world that was! There'slittle we know about grandpa's lineage, unfortunately, and I would love to find out more. So, John, I wonder if we are related in any way!?!
Good work you are doing . . . blessings!
