Had a pleasant conversation and look forward to getting the DVD. My parents both came from Western Ukraine to the U.S.in 1950 and I was born here, but I finally got a chance to go to Kiev last year. You have a wonderful website and have enjoyed my tour of it this morning...spent some time looking around to see what I would like to purchase and efinitely Pysanky supplies. I made many a kistka when living in Canada [over 17 yrs. ago] to use in FREE beginner classes I gave for kids [I'm NOT a professional but enjoyed doing it with my children at Easter - so much more fun than just dying eggs!] And where I live now, our local library asked if I would do a class this coming Easter & I'm thrilled to do so. However, am missing my craft box with the supplies so this led me to a google search and I found YOU!!! Hey, am a 2nd generation Canadian with full-blooded Ukrainian roots [mom & dad] and soon to be a genuine Ukrainian-Canadian-America! Yup, my swearing-in takes place this December. Are there any "Ukes" out there in the Dayton, Ohio, area? If so, I'd like to meet some of them. BTW, my paternal grandfather was born in the "Austrian-Galacia" area too [came to Canada as a small child with his parents in mid-to-late l800s] & I've often wondered where in the world that was!
