Comments:Martian Manhunter eating Oreos. I am appeased.

I have yet to see "Comfort and Joy," but I'm starting to think there's some sort of Martian Manhunter/Oreo conspiracy. Pick up "New World Order," the JLA relaunch written by Grant Morrison. Early on when various members are shown watching breaking news in their homes, J'onn is sittingl, watching in rapt attention, and on the floor?

Freaking Oreos. One with a bite out of it, even.

*hugs her Martian Manhunter doll*

Personally, I think it's great... and I have lived all over the place (cause my dad was in the Navy) so I have the right to say so, lol. Unless you only saw Downtown San Jose... downtown isn't really that great (according to me).

Comments:I'm pretty much with you on the whole character death...although they are my favorite. I hate it when people have to "borrow" art for icons or whatever. You don't have to be mad at yourself for getting a little sad...it IS sad afterall ^^ I give in to that sort of thing as well XP I'm mad at myself at least for being in denial! I was trying to keep my feet on the ground...but I dunno, my mind must tied large helium balloons to my back whilst I wasn't looking. Blargh! Thanks for trying, your (more likely) thoughts worked on me in the beginning...but you do have to admit there is something odd about that veil...d'oh, I should probably shut up now, I always talk too much... ^^;;;

Comments:Heyla, again!!
Nice comic you got there, I like your writing, and I love the first page, specially the mother's hands -sp when she throws away the radishes; for some reason, it reminded me of a Dr. Seuss story...-; I love all the fairy tale references, and I found myself longing for more...I, myself, am preparing a surreal comic, something very 'free', that I can update whenever I want, that I can draw wherever I can have paper and a pen, thus needing less time to work on it.
I'm glad you're finding the time for your comics!

Comments:I know I'm one of about ... well, six people in the known universe who dislike Gaiman's writing, so I make up for that by kicking and screaming a lot. Don't quite see the big deal, tho. I don't think people would be sobbing at my door if I said I disliked Michael Crichton or John Grisham. It's strange.

As for the updating thing, I've made myself purdy darn clear on a few other occasions that if people can't be bothered to update (within reason. I'm not asking for gobs of pages, but only producing something like 20 in a year's span is silly), they shouldn't expect any sort of popularity, and it's a bit of a kick in the teeth to those of us who do work hard to keep our comics going.

Difficulties of updating something that's only a 'side project'? Sure, life kicks your ass quite a few times, but if I can keep updating my comic (and past 500 damn pages) through possibly the most difficult school workload (along with a job and personal angst up the arse) in my six years of post-secondary study, then what's their excuse? If I can do it, anyone can.

...hey, you, below, what have you got against Neil???? He's a god!!

And that comic's pretty good, it makes me laugh.
When something's onl your side project, I believe it's nearly impossible to keep up with it and update everytie...

Comments:... ah, another reason why I can't stand Gaiman. It's so nice to know that a comic can not update for a billion years in nettime, and still recieve a stupid amount of popularity. Sort of a kick in the arse to those of us who actually bother to update. Maybe I should just quit, and then some black-wearing gothy writer will notice *me*.

Yes, this whole 'non-update, hugely popular comics' thing IS huge peeve of mine. Reminds me of the whole silly Cliffhanger fiasco... produce a comic book once every two years, but still watch the sales go through the roof. Slightly unfair, anyone?

Comments:"THERE! ARE! FOUR! LIGHTS!" in a torture scene sounds like an allusion to George Orwell's novel _1984_, where the lead character is tortured until he finally says there are five fingers (or in Picard's case, lights) even though he knows he saw only four fingers.

Darn. I wish I'd seen that episode of TNG.

Comments:No Star Trek? Dude, that's bad...ew, I hate that Sherlock Holmes, too...too many 'special stories'. My fave's still Jeremy Brett's...'the case of the Whitechapel Vampire'?...I dunno, never heard of it...there WAS a Sherlock Holmes story that had something to do with vampires, but I'm not sure that's it...Jeremy Brett had his version of it, and it was called 'the Last vampire'(the original story was called different, though)...erm...that's it for my 2 cents...
...but seriously, no Star Trek?...
