Then we went down to the cage under the arches before reaching the mecca that was the level. I won a slalom competeion down the ramp by the west pier and won the very first set of Simms green snakes, beat Julian (Jock) Patterson into second place. Teamed up with Mog at Brixton Cycles and am looking for any skaters who skated in seventies to interview and film skating. Took up skating again after 25 years ( now a creaky 37 year old) and remember being terrified by older skaters dropping into Barn skatepark pool and never getting a run - currently on a mission to learn to ride pool before it is too late.
