James m Jane McClain, daughter(?) of Isaac McClain in 1829 (marriage bond posted in Jessamine Co, KY). James & Jane's eldest son William born in KY. Then they and some of the other McClains moved to Orange Co, IN. James & Jane then moved to Van Buren Co, IA, & had at least 12 children. Jane d 1854; buried Van Buren Co. James married the widow Elizabeth Sharp Humphrey; moved to Davis Co, IA. James d 1893; he and Elizabeth are buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Davis Co, IA. |
