| Comments: | I am researching my great-great-great grandfather, Samuel McCall, who died in Kentucky in 1795. He is listed in Woodford County tax rolls for 1790 and 1791. He supposedly drowned at Licking River, Kentucky. I don't know whether that means he drowned in Licking River or if there were a little town of Licking River in 1795. GenWeb sites have been helpful for information on later relatives found in Iowa. This is my first visit to Kentucky's site. |

He is Michael Joseph HARMON, son of John Ernest HARMON (1909-1994) and Clarine Virginia OCKERMAN (1910-1992). Mike's grandparents were Michael Lewis HARMON (1871-1934) and Hallie Mae HACKNEY (1878-1954). Michael Lewis HARMON's parents were born in Ireland but they were married (07 Jul 1867) in Woodford County. They were John HARMON (1832-1914) and Mary Anne ROGERS (1836-1904). Tombstone info gives birthplaces as County Dublin and County Louth, respectively. That's where I stop -- I cannot find any more ancestors either in the Harmons or in the Hackneys. Help! |

We have a full ancestry/descendency of Daniel Williams but have little on Mary Jackson except that she was born in NOrth Carolina in 1757 and was a "near relative" of Andrew Jackson. | Comments: | Searching for the parents and birth of Samuel C. Scott, who had some patents for land in Woodford county, Ky. About 1832/33, Samuel went to Washington County, Indiana and married Ann R. Smith. Ann R. Smith was originally born and raised in Mercer County, Ky. Sometime after their marriage in 1833, Samuel C. Scott and Ann R. {Smith} Scott migrated west to northern Missouri.
