The swim team, the Hobby Farm, so many things that kept us busy and out of trouble. If you remember your parents saying 3 black marks and I lose my job with Aramco! This was repeated to my sister many, many times. She graduated in 1962. Our last address was 4592-B, at the bottom of the hill past the Senior Staff School, one row in from the fence. |

| Comments: | My mother and I arrived in Al Kobar in 1952 or 53. We waited for housing in DH. My father would drop me off (7 a.m.) at the recreation area and I'd play until school started. Within a short time we moved into company housing. My first girl friend in DH was Diane Armstrong and last was Camille McCann. My father (Andy) happened to have BADGE #1, that's my claim to fame. I attended 7 high schools (Dad had many jobs) and joined the Army in 1963. In 1979 I returned to Saudi with my wife and 2 children. I worked at King Faisal Hospital In Riyadh and returned to San Diego 4 years later. I have been happily married for 43 years (same woman) and recently sold my business in San Diego. We had a mini Aramco reunion last month over the holidays on board the RCCL Navigator of the Seas cruise ship out of Fort Lauderdale. 10 were with us including Aramco Brats Tom Nine (Dh.72),Fred Bobb (Dh.72), Marc Dorsch (Dh.76), Debbie Dorsch (Dh.73)and Aramco retirees Pat Dorsch (Aramco Schools),Arthur Bobb (Aramco Medical Services),and Dottie Srembo (Aramco Medical Services). | Comments: | So many fond memories of our years there in Dhahran, 1966 to 1967. I was there during my third and fourth grade school years and loved it at the Sr Staff School. Loved the pool, the dining hall, cub scouts, Halloween parades, trips to Al Khobar and beyond, pot-picking in the desert and dune surfing - a great time in my life which I treasure. Of my classmates, I've reconnected with Paul Sundberg but that's it. |
