They are being accused of making off with a few phone cards (probably to call their mother) and some cash. Maybe they wanted their mother to have some nice flowers for once, but they were arrested nonetheless. Punishment instead of education and assistance. And so the cycle continues... The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them. Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites. What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries? Is Meetup.com a Racist organization... I think so... I'm not sure if you are interested in this experience I had with a organization called Meetup.com, but I have conclued it is a racist organization, or at least the people in authority over there have a racist agenda. I joind Meetup.com as a member first, then paid an organizer fee to be able to hold events they call Meetups. Then I created a Meetup group called " Romeo Maxx's Live Blues Dance Party ". The purpose was to allow people who enjoy the African American musical art form expression called the " Blues " to gather together, see live blues shows , listen to, dance to the " Blues " and be educated about this unique African American musical art form creation. Considering this art form is a major part of the history of the United States Of America, it's a no brainer. What wonderful educational value it would have for people not aware of this type of music, and the historical value it imparts. The Blues is popular all over the world, and is growing again...In Southern California alone there are hundreds of thousands of Blues lovers ... I clearly stated this at the time of creation as a mission plan. I also said I would look for venues to hold these Meetups, promote the events through members so more people could find out about this great music. Two days later, I received an e-mail from Meetup.com saying my group was closed because I was promoting events at venues ...Odd since I never had any events yet, and had no members in the Meetup group yet, and never mentioned any type of venue at all. I sent a message back to HQ at Meetup.com, and received the same generic message again..I sent several messages to the HQ team explaining my mission statement, saying they were in error. Then I was was sent a new message having a different new reason for the closure. This new reason said I was promoting a service. Odd again because I had no members in my group being only two days old, and had not offered anything. I re-sent my mission statement , saying HQ was in error again. Then I received a new reason for the closure saying I was promoting a particular band. I am active in the Blues music scene, and perform at many clubs and concerts, sing and playing the guitar, however I don't have a band, and have never mentioned I was promoting any band. I again re-sent my plan for the Meetup group, and received another new reason for the closure. This time Meetup.com HQ team said there was no value in the " Blues " music for the community, and there would be no benefit for the community to allow my " Blues " music dance party group exist..They are suggesting that the unique African American musical expression, the " Blues " has no value ?. That would mean , according to Meetup.com HQ, there is no value this musical art form has added to the history of this country. Cconsidering they allow all types of " Meetup " groups to be held like gay and lesbian meetups, east indian yoga meetups, other forms of music styles meetups, and every other type of cultural interest meetup event, I have only to conclude there are racists in authority there at Meetup.com. The information below may be of interest to you. The rules and regulations for Meetup.com clearly say if I wanted to, I could hold events at venues, search for and secure venues for Meetup events, and there is even a section where Meetup.com offers resources to find venues for Meetup events. Yet they tried to charge me with holding and promoting events. I pointed out in the rules and regulation that Meetup events are actually services being performed, such as educational, fun gatherings, informational gatherings, and so on. In fact, the whole organization of Meetup.com is a service offering platform...Yet they tried charge me with offering a service The rules and regulations for Meetup.com clearly show how one can promote events, charge ticket fees, organization dues, admission prices and other discussions about money, yet Meetup.com HQ tried to charge me with conduction a business.. I have never conducted any business, or charged any money to anyone. The rules and regulations clearly state how groups can be organized and run, and I read the whole thing over to make sure I wasn't out of line on anything. I made requests many times for assistance to help me with the creation of the group, yet never received any response with any questions about anything. Again, I have to come to the conclusion these people are Racists. With organizations like this that portray themselvs as social network advocates and places to meet, greet, learn new things and be educated, yet try to say African American musical artforms have no value, or the history it adds to this country, someone has put them under the spot light to expose this. This is a small step, but a necessary one. It saddens me that more cannot be done. Baltimore is a big city and we need to do something NOW for our African American community. I encourage all other students to initiate Leadership Programs in their own communities. We must give back. Holding fundraisers and funding community projects is just the start. We also need to bring assistance to the members of the African American communities in the form of donations. We will never get anywhere by putting African Americans on unemployment and taking thir jobs while incarcerating the rest. What ever happened to justice? |

Inspired by Black History Month, we are reaching out to groups that are statistically underrepresented in universities today. I am writing to ask for your help to shut down the American Renaissance (AmRen) white supremacist national conference that is going to be held at Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, Tn later this year. AmRen is led by a man named Jared Taylor who is a well known white supremacist. Their event draws a wide array of racist and fascist hate groups and people to the Montgomery Bell park is a clear and present danger to the public health and safety of park patrons and the people of Dickson. We started a petition that is being forwarded to the park and state and local politicians urging them to take action (http://signon.org/sign/montgomery-bell-park) and will ultimately be delivered in person. But we need help drawing attention to this campaign. This is the second year in a row that this conference has been held at this park. Last year we gathered a petition, alerted the community, contacted the media, sent emails and made phone calls to the park, and protested outside of the entrance. However, the local media was apathetic to the story, we were unable to mobilize a large resistance in this small rural town, and ultimately we made little headway towards actually shutting down the conference. We need a broader coalition behind us to actually accomplish this. Anything you can do to draw attention to this will make it easier to organize to #ShutDownAmRen and will be greatly appreciated. |

I wrote down the listing number and our Real Estate Agent looked it up. "Oh no," she said. "You don't want to move there." When I asked why, she said it was because the house is in a "Black Neighborhood" and spewed a bunch of race-tinged commentary about "home equity." I was appalled. I was speechless. My father just said, "Hmm..." How could a Real Estate Agent be so racist? And on top of that, how could she assume my family was racist? My parents have not made a decision yet. To me, this house is a win-win. It has everything we're looking for and the advantage of cultural diversity to boot. I don't know if they would have to buy it through her, but once they do I plan to report this Agent. Not to get her fired, but to alert human resources that they have a prime candidate for sensitivity training. It's my little way of making this world a better place. I'd like to share a news item that took place in the next town over from where I attend school. A young African American man was arrested for robbery by 2 white cops. They took him away from his family and set the bail so high that he couldn't afford to pay it. To make matters worse, they impounded his car and are charging him with 2 counts of theft. All the while not considering what he "stole" from this retail giant: an iPad, an Xbox 360, a DVD player and a modest sized flat screen. These were only Christmas gifts for his children. He took absolutely nothing for himself. It wasn't even enough to fill his Escalade. Yet the cops didn't care. Instead of recognizing his altruism, they threw the book at him! We need to end white privilege. I believe in Karma, and these cops will get theirs! Thank you for all the public education your site brings. |

I am white South-farmer who married a black girl from Etiopia while working for USAID in Ethiopia. We love and respect each other and try to buildt a life together. Until .... My goverment dont want to issue her a visa to enter South-Africa. Me and she visit SA embassy in Addis Ababa more than 20 times - they always have just another excuse not to give her a visa. (and all the embassy people are black) Therefor i have to leave my wife behind in Ethiopia and returned to South-Africa. I cannot find any work (before my marriage i couldt choose between jobs) The result is i am sitting in South-Africa - jobless - without money - my wife struggle back in Addis and we are busy to die of sadness of our situation. I must say, I was quite impressed with my dad's interpretation of the Blues: it's all about the plight and struggle of the underprivileged. I was able to feel the pain and opression with every note. It was as though the music was speaking to me directly. The years of struggle came through to me in an unimaginable way. Which is why I absolutely must attend a seminar. Hopefully there will be one not too far from the Westchester area. Now that I have a taste of what African Americans face, I feel it is only right that I do what little I can to make a difference. I didn't aks to be born white. I am truly sorry for what my ancestors did, but of course the guilt lingers... The struggle continues and I want to help! So glad this site is out there to help them. I am writing to you in an effort to seek the support of Canadians across the country to voice their concerns about the racist comments made against Georges Laraque by Toronto Star columnist Cathal Kelly. As a black Canadian, I find it offensive, and very difficult to turn the other cheek when blatant, ignorant comments are made linking, as a metaphor, jungles and captured black people forced to do things against their will. I did not want to jump the gun and email you until I discussed this with several other people of many races, and they have all come to the same conclusions that I did, as mentioned in my email below. After you read and listen to the interview I reccommend, at minimum, that we encourage, to the best of our ability, Cathal Kelly, the Toronto Star, and Team 1260 Edmonton as well as the host of "The Pipeline" Guy Flaming, to make a public apology to Georges Laraque for their offensive and racist metaphors. I appreciate your attention in this matter. I will be sure to forward this to other community organisationsacross Canada for their support. On Sunday, September 16, 2012, Guy Flaming, host of the radio show known as "The Pipeline" on TEAM 1260 Edmonton (or heard around the world at www.thepipelineshow.com), posted an article on thepipelineshow.blogspot.ca about how he pulled some quotes from what he calls "One of the strongest columns on the CHLPA thus far", a column written by Toronto Star writer Cathal Kelly on August 25th, for the story he wrote on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, entitled "CHLPA Still A Big Mystery". Wanting to revisit the column, he decided that "the best way to go about that was to get the columnist himself on the show. Kelly's write up was no holds barred and cut through all the B.S. so effectively that I couldn't wait to see if, three weeks later, he still felt the same way about the CHLPA. His appearance on TPS Saturday morning was nothing short of audio gold." Let's examine some of this "audio gold". Saturday's interview with Cathal Kelly begins with Mr. Flaming playing excerps from "The Origin", a recently released video Of Georges Laraque of the CHLPA. Kelly was then asked to "offer a synopsis of his piece from August for the benefit of listeners who had not come across the story when it first was published." The following is quoted from Cathal Kelly's synopsis: "I don't know if your listeners have seen them but they seem like something that comes out of the Colombian jungle. It's as if the CHLPA has kidnapped Georges Laraque and he's being told to recite demands. This whole thing is farcical. It's like an extended Saturday Night Live skit." I beg your pardon, sir? This is clearly insinuating that a black man from the jungle is being taken, against his will, like a slave, and forced to do something... very VERY clearly. It also depicts the CHLPA as slave drivers, forcing black people out of the jungles, kidnapping them, and forcing them to do things against their will. Like it or not, for very good reasons, these stereotypes depicted by Cathal Kelly are the exact stereotypes that I, as a black man, take offense to, and see as ignorant and damaging to the cultural progress of black people in this country. I realise that after people read this it might be simple for them to say "He's just another black guy playing the race card." But when ignorant comments are thrown around connecting black people with jungles it becomes a little difficult for me, as a black man, to just sit back and let it slide. I feel that I speak on behalf of most black people when I express my concern about caucasians connecting black people with jungles and being taken into captivity on public radio programs, or in general for that matter. You would think that in 2012 somebody on a public radio show might be able to keep those comments to himself. Another interesting part of this is that the host, Guy Flaming, seems to get a good chuckle out of the comment and then goes even further by saying that he AGREES with Cathal Kelly. The two of them shared a pretty good laugh at the expense of a caricature image, which Cathal Kelly painted, depicting captured black men being pulled out of jungles and forced to do things against their will. Cathal went even one step further, comparing these images created in his mind of black people, captured out of jungles, forced to do things against their will (as if this were not a significant event in history) with a "farcical" extended Saturday Night Live skit. Farcical comes from the word farce, which means; 1. a light, humorous play in which the plot depends upon a skillfully exploited situation rather than upon the development of character. 2. humor of the type displayed in such works. 3. foolish show; mockery; a ridiculous sham. As if Lorne Michaels (the creator of Saturday Night Live) would ever consider allowing a skit to air, depicting the images which Cathal Kelly has created. There is nothing about the video that is similar to a kidnapping in a jungle in Columbia. In fact, there is a picture of a former NHL HOCKEY PLAYER and in the backdrop there is a picture of a logo with a hockey player on it. I'm not sure how these obvious images of hockey can relate at all to jungles. There is nothing in the video that shows Georges in shackles, being held to speak on a topic against his will. I don't see any palm trees or jungles in the background. In fact, the only thing the video DOES show is a NHL hockey player trying to protect other hockey players. In the background there is a logo with a hockey player in it. There are no similarities to jungles, or the mistreatment of humans, in the video whatsoever. Cathal Kelly clearly couldn't control his tongue without showing his racist views, explaining what he sees is a black man taken from the jungle against his will. I wonder if he also imagined shackles on the wrists and feet when he watched those videos. Or maybe he envisioned spears and blow darts as well. My uncle commented on an article about a man who turned his life around; a man who fell into the wrong crowd when he was younger. Well, my uncle took the article out of context. Instead of being positive about the man's rehabilitation, he was judging the actions of a sixteen year old! I suppose the pre-rehabilitative armed robbery that took place when the man was a juvenile hit a little too close to home for my uncle, who is a convenience store owner. Anyway, my uncle thought the rehabilitated man's juvenile juvenile record should follow him to "warn" potential employers. THAT'S EXACTLY THE PROBLEM! Honestly, it was like talking to a brick wall. How are we gonig to be free as a society if we keep taking jobs from the people on the street who are left there with their hands empty? I remember years ago when my brother's car got broken into while he was at a Dave Matthews concert. He didn't make the connection until I pointed out that he was in an inner city where many people were born at a disadvantage and don't have cars, much less jobs. Would my brother give up his job to an African American who needed it? Probably not, but he is starting to understand that it is much easier for whites in the job market. The other day, I was waiting in line at a local Establishment. There was an older white man in front of me, and no one was behind the counter yet. Just then, an African American male rushed in, obviously struggling with some kind of an issue. He got up to the counter just as the store clerk arrived. So the older man in front of me looks at me and says we just got cut in line! I don't know what his problem was, so I told him he could take my spot. He looked confused, so I told him I would gladly wait my turn... because it's nothing compared to 400 years of slavery. He said that doesn't make any sense and clearly, he didn't get the point. Which goes to show, we have a lot more work to do. |

At my Commencement Ceremony, the Valedictorian who spoke is actually a friend of mine. Someone whose ideals and politics I respect. But something struck a chord when she spoke of the opportunities and positive future that lies ahead. I realized that these opportunities won't apply to all of us. What about the Minority graduates? What about the countless other minorities who were denied an education because of the color of their skin? My résumé states that I will only consider employment with EOE employers. I know it won't be long before someone gives me a job in an exciting new carreer field. But I must be part of a diverse team. I can't help but feel guilty when I see so many disadvantaged minorities through the window at the unemployment office. Whatever type of company I work for, I will try to implement MHIP (Minority Hiring Incentive Policy). "Am hip" is the phrase I came up with to remember it. |

Well, unfortunately there was an injustice first: another African American put on death row. Marcus Reymond Robinson was jailed for an incident over 20 years ago. He was given a death sentence, because, as it turns out, there were only 2 African Americans on the jury, a single Native American and yet there were 9 whites. What chance did they have? He was clearly outnumbered. Now, many years later, the court is finally seeing how the trial was racially biased. During the robbery/shooting, Mr. Robinson stole 27 dollars. And after stealing 27 dollars, he was stolen from his family. Countless other African Americans like him have been incarcerated or put on death row, and more than half the time, the judge is white. We need to do something about this. |

| Comments: | In my Western Civ class, we are studying the Industrial Revolution. What about the CULTURAL revolution?
We are being bombarded with the white man's inventions designed to further enslave the lower class. There's a lot of History we're forgetting here! So last Wednesday, I brought up the issue of campus busing, which has been a problem. I mentioned how on that morning, the anniversary of Dr. King's assasination, I sat in the back of the bus. I asked the professor if he knew who Rosa Parks was. He just said, in the most racist tone ever, that we would stick to the "curriculum." Way to avoid the question! If he doesn't know his own history, how can he fail me like he said I might? How convenient! Meanwhile a former student of his told me that last year, they covered the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, then ran out of time before getting to the Civil Rights Movement! We need to do something about this white privilege that is all throughout the Infrastucture. If you are ever in the New York area, I would love to spearhead a seminar. I am a self starter and would love the opportunity. |

I'm about to take the SAT next year, I'm amazed at how many studies have shown the problems with the Math questions there is. In my study guide there is a question about how many ways can you plan a trip to the coffee shop, the market and a yoga class! Are they for real? Do they know how they have us living? This is outrageous. |

Currently, I'm enrolled in the Africana Studies Undergraduate Program at my school. I wish to use what I've learned to make a difference and help people. I am fortunate enough to come from an affluent family. Yet there are reminders every day, just from watching the news, about how I am truly privileged and others are victims of societal boundaries. I was raised to respect my elders yet, I encounter Racism at every turn. I cannot get 2 steps forward without going 10 steps back. I still live in the Projects. I have a Landlord who harassed me, a parole officer whose a racist. I cannot turn around without a pair of eyes staring at me. Equality is an illusion where I come from. There are children who cannot learn in school. We in crisis, we need Help. I have been clean for 18 months. But I have a record that follows me. I did my time still, a mark against me. How can I shake something loose when society puts people in cetegories? South Bronx is no more free then Selma, Alabama. |
