A man moved in across the street from us in Falls Church, Va with about 30 Scotties and asked me if I would clean their kennels morning and evening, before and after my school. I did it for about 10 months until the town officials came and said he did not have a license for kennels within the town limits. I was then given my choice of a Scottie for my own.He was called Dwighting Friar, just a puppy. |

| Comments: | I just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your website. I could relate to so many of the things I found on here. My partner and I have two great danes and for almost two years now we have been searching for a scottie. After two years of searching and breeders turning us down (even rescue), we found him. A Wheaten Male Scottie. His name is Casanova Dionysus Diesel. We just call him Diesel. He is very white right now and is getting the color I find on your pics. He is full bred and akc registered. I am so proud to have him. The girls (danes 3 and 8) just love him and we are finally one happy family now. We have him in an obediance school where we attend once a week and train everyday. And he seems to be doing well. The main reason I am writting you is the wheaten thing. His mother was wheaten and his father was black. I love him, and I agree with some things that were said. He is beautiful, although I wanted a black one, I could not resist him. He is perfect in form, and is a true example of what a scottie should be. Everyone that has looked at him has said that his is an excellent example and that he would make a fine sire. But I find that the Scottie owner community somewhat frowns apon wheatens. Why is this. Aren't they accepted in the AKC and hasn't a wheaten won title before. I will always love him, but I must know why these people would find him undesirable. Kind regards, Caleb Hannah |
