By reading some of your guest's messages, it reminded me how much times that I had spend to find my Cavaliers, may be in UK, it won't take that long to purchase a Cav., but in Canada is a bitter experience, you will always find youself on the waiting list with all the breeders, waiting is the only key word for the purchasers, sometimes one year or couple of years, it will really depends on your luck. I am very glad that I found my 3 boys, they are my children and best pals ever!!!! I'm assuming the young person who made the website is your child, as she or he wrote about "Mom is a breeder of Cavaliers".
I wanted to compliment this young person for creating the website and for focusing on the positive aspects of this wonderful breed. Trying to share what you know and have learned with others is not an easy thing to do, and this website is a really fine attempt! It kept my interest and the links were very fine choices. Do you know Barbara Garnet-Wilson? You might want to write to her. She is such a gracious woman and has done so much for this breed! I bet she'd enjoy hearing from a young person. | Comments: | I just wanted to tell you that I fell in love with the Cavalier King Charles and I don't even have one yet. I think what really made me take notice of them was from my fav show... "Sex and the City" Charlette is not able to have children and she tried with both of her husband's but still couldn't concieve... She was in central park one day and met this old woman who had a pack of Cavis and she fell in love with the one the old lady said didn't fully fit the breed standard. To Charlette that didn't mean anything because the dog looked perfect to her. It was the Blenheim color one.. LOL... Well she ran into the woman a couple of more times and they talked and she told the woman that she couldn't have children and the old woman thought that her and the dog were meant for each other since she wasn't going to have a career in the show ring. So she took the dog home and loved it like it was her own child.. I think she had got another dog and the two dogs had puppies. Well I know that I might not have any children and this breed just seems like the perfect match I am looking for. My fav colors are the tri- color ones and the black and tan ones. I am in the process of finding my children... I hope that I find them soon because I will treat them like they are the royal things they were in King Charles days... :-) I also liked the special that I saw on the animal planet when they showed the dog show that was in Harrisburg in '04. There was a lady who owned eight cavi's and she lived in Manhattan, NY. I loved the way her dogs looked beacause some people breed them and they have very poppy eyes or them seem like they have really big feet. Anyway I liked hers and they were the tri-color ones. The house was really nice and they seemed very happy. The reason why I like them is because my fav group in the Sporting Group -- I love Spaniels. So I wanted a dog that would be small, comfortable with being a companion and lie around with me when I get in my lazy mood and also be slightly outdoorsy. I looked through most breeds and this one matched to a tee.I love the constant cheerful expression they always have and they seem like they never have a bad day.. Well I know I took up a lot of space so I will write to u again when I get my two or more precious babies and I will tell u how my experience with them go. I am so glad that the breed was saved when it was.
