| Comments: | I went to Paul Revere Jr. High and Palisades High School with Edward. We were in many classes together. The main thing I remember about Edward was his obvious joy of life. He was always friendly and outgoing to ALL people...recognizing their uniqueness and celebrating it. I was saddened to hear of his passing and offer my condolences to his wife and daughter. |

| Comments: | Edward Albert was everything that his father was not. His father was a great actor, because you appreciated him for his acting. You could see it, define it, analyse it and enjoy it. Edward was far different. He became the characters he portrayed, which I consider the real pinnacle of great acting, but a much unappreciated skill. Somehow he the actor acting became lost, while his characters became immediate, engrossing and real. I want to go on record as one of those who noticed the real person behind the character, but it took a lot of time to develope that perception. And the fault was only mine. I recently ran across a movie recently in which 11-year-old Edward Albert appeared, called "The Fool Killer." I suddenly understood why it had been so easy to overlook so much of Edward's career. He was such a brilliant actor, holding his own against Tony Perkins, that you didn't realize he was acting and he was only 11. As you watched, all you noticed was the story. You were transported to that time and that place because you already felt like you knew the person(people) that Edward portrayed, you bought totally into his character. To think an 11-year-old could act so flawlessly, made it seem like we were looking at real life, not acting. Tony Perkins, a great actor in his own right, struggle to keep stride with the young and obviously intelligent and articulate Edward. I remember Laurance Olivier called himself an actor when commenting on Paul Scofield's performance in "A Man for All Seasons." He said that Paul's performance was so magnificent, because he took a saint and made a human being out of him. It wasn't Paul Scofield on the screen, it was St. Thomas More. Lord Olivier defined that as the very definition of great acting. I agree with him. The same analogy applied to Brian Keith's portrayal of Teddy Roosevelt in "The Wind and The Lion." Though a much smaller part than the always brilliant Sean Connery Berber Chief, Brian held his own and dominated every scene he was in: he was mesmerising. I no longer think of John Singer Sargent's painting of Teddy Roosevelt as being closest to the real man, I think of Brian. He must've been exactly like that. I would like to pay Edward that same complement, his acting was so good, that you didn't even realize that he was acting: he became the person he portrayed; he became his character in the story. And I can't think of a higher complement to an actor. But the down side is that you always think of the movie and story, then the character, then how that character fit into the narrative and exposition of the story, last only the actor portraying the character. The world and stage have both lost someone important, but from reading here, we the human race, have lost one of our finest examples and best friends. The luckiest among us are those who numbered among their friends. There is no higher complement to pay a human being. |

| Comments: | Two years... a lifetime ago and a moment ago all at the same time. We get busy with day to day life and other important thoughts get drowned out till we are reminded, yet Edward was one of those remarkable people who always made time for the important things. His family, friends, causes that were precious to his heart and in doing so he touched so many lives for the better. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his voice can be heard in the echoes of their laughter and tears. I had the honor of meeting him in person at several Beauty and the Beast conventions, and in being a part of Band of Angels (a sort of extended family reaching out to anyone in need that was Edward's idea) from the start. A gentler, more passionate, and remarkable man I've never met. For so long after news of his loss to us I put away the videos I had taken at the cons and any professional footage as the grief was still too new. Maybe now it's time to get them out again and share some laughter along with the tears. Edward loved life and those he shared it with. You are missed dear friend. Take care till we meet again. |

| Comments: | The memories of Edward are still as vivid as if they were yesterday. He was always so gracious with his fans and was willing to stop, even if only for a few seconds, to chat. At one of the Cons he met my Mother and after that every time he would see her it was always " Hi Lois, how are you doing?" My Mother and I would smile and add another pleasant memory. And the other thing I remember about him is the way he talked about his family, he would glow when he talked about them and that is unusual. He truly was a very special man. |

| Comments: | As a member of Edward's fan club, I have very fond memories of the group's casual get-to-gethers with Edward. He was always gracious and kind. He took much time with us to talk and have pictures taken. He read poetry to us and also sang. He gave me some very good advise about how to conquer back pain, which of course he dealt with often. My memories are very vivid and I am very thankful for them. My love and prayers go out to his family. You were very blessed to share your lives with him and I am thankful that he came into ours. Love and Blessings, Lorelei |

| Comments: | It is unusual for me to fall in love with a actor. It seams that at 30something I became inchanted by the gentle kindness of a young man in a movie. I am now 60 yrs. old and can(on occasion) still shed tears for the loss of the heart of this good man. I thank you for the opportunity to enjoy these wonderful pictures. |

| Comments: | I will always remember my friend from school for his great sense of humor, integrity, amazing intelligence and his sensitivity. In our eighth-grade science class he created the most incredible eighty-page report on--that's right--the dolphin. It was a shocker for the entire class. It was my good fortune to be able to reconnect with Edward during the last year and a half of his life. Although it was painful to see him leave us, I was allowed to re-experience and to enjoy a wonderful relationship. Too briefly. But I am grateful for it. |

| Comments: | Just tonight I decided to go online and see if I could get a copy of my favorite movie. I have over 2000, but the made for tv The Last Convertible 1979 timeframe I had recorded on the then state of the art Betamax machine. By the time that machine died, I opted for the new VHS VCR and chucked the old machine and my copy of The Last Convertible. There was ZERO doubt in my mind that Eddie Albert, Jr., was leading man material and would soon be recognized as such -making the movie I wanted available. I looked at your tv and movie listings and didn't see it. If you haven't seen this, you are in for a rare glimpse of your father at his most handsome, charming, intelligent, deep feeling. He played Ron Dalrymple. Bruce Boxleitner, Perry King, Sharon Gless, Deborah Raffin, John Shea. It's about college kids in my era of the 50's and PERFECTLY reflects that time. I was engaged to Ron Luther and Ron Dalrymple is the spitting image of him, including all the mannerisms, i.e., why it was my all time favorite film I suppose. I knew his dad died in 2005, but was shocked to see this announcement of his death in 2006. This just breaks my heart. What a beautiful man. Had this made for TV 3 part mini-series, instead been a big screen movie, he would have undoubtedly made the leap to super stardom. Although it's coming up to be 30 years old, I think it's message and acting is timeless. I know people who saw just 1 of the 3 parts, that to this day, think about it and wish they could see it all. So it had a serious effect on people. Hits you deep. See the imdb.com site. I lost my dad at 24, so hang in there. Every day it gets better. He and his dad are fishing and happy and wish the same for you. |

| Comments: | It was very nice to read about Edward's life, his family and his accomplishments. We met on the Spanish set of "Patton" in February of 1969. His Godfather, Frank McCarthy, was producing. We were extras and had several nice conversations and meals together. I was 22 and Edward must have been about 18. He seemed to be very gifted in the ability to communicate. He spoke elequently and knowledgably about his interest in meditation. He was very impressive and contained a mature sense of self-sufficency. And he was very modest for being the son of an international celebrity. This was always confirmed whenever I saw or heard him in the media. And I was happy for the success that he enjoyed over the years. Above all, I am sure he must have been a fine father and devoted husband. I wish I would have followed up with Edward after returning from Spain in 1970. The still photographer on "Patton" took a couple photos of us between takes. I see them every once in a while when my wife asks me to clean up my home office. All best regards for your keeping his memory here - And God's speed to his family- David Kramer Chino Hills, California |

| Comments: | Thank you Eddie Albert! If you were not at the battle of Tarawa I would not have met my Wife Rebbecca and we would not have had our children Tyler and Caroline. Eddie saved my father in law by bringing him back to the USS Schroeder when he was wounded. Go to "Tarawa on the web" to see the list of casualties and then to those brought to the USS Schroeder. My father in laws name is 6th of the list, Fred Clifford. My heart hurt when we learned the news that Eddie had passed away last year. We will always have a special place in our hearts for Eddie Albert he was a true hero to all of us. May he rest in peace and may he find his survivors that he saved that day so they can all thank him for what he did. I wish that we would be able to thank his daughter for what her father did for Fred, you see Fred did not know that Eddie saved his life, we found out two years after Fred passed away. May God bless Eddie Albert! |

I loved Eddie Albert Jr. in his movie role in Butterflies Are Free. There are some actors like Eddie who will never know how they impacted people and made some utterly hopeless moments seem bearable. May his family know that his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Please extend my deepest sympathy to Eddie's family. |

| Comments: | As a little girl, one day I stayed home because I was sick and watched television. I was changing channels and noticed a movie had just started...it was Butterflies Are Free. From that very moment I had a HUGE crush on Edward. I was really happy to find out that he was Eddie Albert's son because I LOVED Switch, and also had a huge crush on Robert Wagner (yes, I had crushes on everyone) My mother was able to tell me about his background and his general lovely disposition. I was SO upset to hear about his death because he was so young, and because I didn't find out until almost a year after his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family....know that this man had a huge impact on people....even a little black girl from Queens :-) He will be truly missed! |

| Comments: | I just revisted all my VHS tapes from Beauty and the Beast. I had taped all the episodes and rewatched them again over the last week and a half. And once again, I fell entirely in love with this show as I had in 1987-1990. I was obsessed with it, and wouldn't miss an episode and even bought a VCR at that time so I could tape the shows and keep them. I just went into the internet on Monday, and looked up Beauty and the Beast, and saw that they were on DVD, so I ordered the entire set. Eddie Albert Jr. (Elliot Burch) was once of the fabulous and gorgeous and wonderful characters in this show. Besides, of course, Katherine, Vincent, Elliot Burch was my favorite. I definately was in love with him. However, when I went to the site this past Monday to order the DVD's I was most unhappy and saddened to find out that Eddie Albert Jr. passed away in September 2006. My prayers go out to his family and all his adoring fans, and may God watch over his beautiful soul. Thank you for this website. Dorothy Goldstein |

| Comments: | To Mrs Albert and Family, I want to offer you my deepest sympathys on the lost of your husband Edward. I have been a fan of his for many years. He was a wonderful actor and he gave it his all. I enjoyed him the most in the TV series Yellow Rose of Texas. He had so much talent and so much love for his fellow man, he was an inspiration to all of us. His careing nature came thru in his acting. I am sure you have heard all of this before. But sometimes we need to say it, just one more time. This is just so sad, he was taken just way to soon. My mom died from that horrible disease, and there wasnt a thing that we could to help her. At the end we couldnt even hug her, because it hurt to much. She was only 57 years old. I was with her when she passed away, she smiled and said that the angels had come for her and that she needed to go. That has always comforted me, and when I had heard of Edwards passing, I remembered my final moments with my mom. Please know that, I know that the angels came for your husband, as they did for my mom. And that with the rememberence of my mothers last smile, I know that his trip home was full of love and joy. This planet earth is a better place for having him in it. Thank you for shareing him with all of us. God bless your whole family. Edward please know that you were and are loved. | Comments: | It was with great sorrow i learned of the death of Edward Albert September 22nd 2006. I first met him in 1992 and then many, many more times over the years whenever he attended the wonderful beauty and the beast USA conventions. Edward gave the conventions his all, throwing himself into the spirit of the event, from the opening ceremony to the closing ceremony. Fans knew if he was the guest, the convention would be a total success. His films and TV series will be a reminder to all who come along , what a very talented actor he was ( one of a kind). I also knew Edward as a dear friend and we spoke on the phone and kept in regular touch. At one point in 2000, he was going to be come over to England to be my guest at my Masqerades 2000 beauty and the beast convention in Nottingham England, but a movie presented itself ( and this was put on hold). Sadly, now this can never be. To Edwards wife, daughter and family, i want to express my sincere condolences and to also include all members of HNUK at this very sad loss. Sincerley Gwen Lord. |

| Comments: | I was deeply saddened with the passing of Steve Irwin ... as anyone should have been who shared the love, compassion, and understanding of the planet and its inhabitants that Steve had. But the loss of EDWARD was far more personal for me. He, too, had the same wonderful attributes as Steve did ... but, to me, EDWARD was a much more tangible figure in the quest to make the planet a better place. What a tremendous shame to have lost both of these wonderful men WAY before their time ... and within weeks of each other. What a tragic loss!!! In these instances, the truth of "only the good die young" must be emphasized. In my case, the greatest pain regarding the loss of EDWARD is knowing that I'll never have the chance to pass his way again. My instances of personal contact with EDWARD are definitely some of my fondest memories because of his unquestionable talent to make those around him feel special. Know that you took so much love with you, EDWARD, as I'm sure there was so much love waiting for you at your destination. Love always -- |

| Comments: | I am stunned...absolutely stunned. I don't know how many times I read the news of his passing over and over again. I can still hear his voice, deep and resonant...his eyes, how they shone such love and kindness, his spirituality...constant and faithful, and his spirit...limitless and free. The love for his father and his family was such that, in conversation, I was in awe. I am sorrowful for his passing -- for his family, my deepest condolences. I have been blessed for personally having known such a person. God has, indeed, given us a gift to have touch our lives. He has made me a more appreciative daughter to my surviving mother. Thank you, Edward...we pray for you and your wonderful father. |

I cannot say how much we will all miss you but you will forever be in our hearts. Butterflies are free take on a fara dif meaning for me now. When I see a butterfly flying I'll remember your loving, free spirit. |

| Comments: | I am stunned and devastated to be writing this kind of message. Edward was a wonderful man and he deserved to live as long as his dear father. I have received the terrible news from a dear friend while I am in Spain for 2 months and therefore unable to write a tribute page for the Official Website. I offer my sincere apologies for this, to everyone who visits. I met Edward several times at Beauty and the Beast conventions and he was always so charming, friendly and approachable. I know these times were small when compared to what he achieved throughout his short life, but they were huge to me. He brought love and comfort to so many people; not least of whom were his beloved Native American people. I will never, ever forget him and I send my thoughts and sympathies to his wife and family on their terrible loss. With love and thanks for your friendship, Edward...also for the wonderful inspiration for my two ´Elliot´novellas which I alway hoped one day you might read on tape for me. That dream is not to be. May you be reunited with your beloved parents now, and be strong and healthy again. Avril |

| Comments: | Edward was a good friend back when we were teenagers (I was a few years older). He was the drummer and I was the sax player in a band called "The Baroque Lighthouse." We rehearsed regularly at the Albert home in Pacific Palisades, and were wonderfully welcomed by Dear Eddie and Delightful Margo. I drove by the "old homestead" a number of months ago, shortly after Eddie's death, and was lucky enough to find Edward there. Although the cancer was obviously affecting him, Edward was in great spirits. We reminisced about the good old days and shared a few laughs. I shall miss my old friend, but I know he's now with his wonderful parents in God's loving realm. |

I was priviledged to see Edward several times at Beauty & the Beast conventions and found him to be more gracious, charming, and humorous with each meeting. | Comments: | Dear Edward......Your spirit is now flying as free as the butterfly... ************************* So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. Chief Tecumseh (Crouching Tiger) Shawnee Nation 1768-1813 |

| Comments: | Edward Albert was my classmate at Palisades High School from 1966-1969. As one of the most respected and honored of all the students, he stood out like a diamond in the rough. I respected his father very much as a great actor and his mother as a fine and loving person. I spoke of gardening with Eddie senior on several occasions. He was on a righteous path with the enviornment. It all rubbed off on Edward jr. in a most positive way. Edward, made great advances and strides in life and was a person that I looked up to in many ways, Rest in peace brother and may your spirit live on forever in the hearts of all love mother nature. | Comments: | We lost a dear friend last week on so many levels, and Edward Albert was a dear friend to us all! In 1993, having become very active in Beauty and the Beast fandom, I was blessed to be given the opportunity to work alongside Edward during the convention we hosted in Austin, Texas. I’ll never forget picking him up at the airport and meeting for the first time this actor I had watched on screen for so many years. My heart was pounding 2,000 beats per minute (as a typical fan) and yet my mind was full of trepidation not knowing the type of person who would actually step off that airplane. The radiant smile that greeted me and the warm and gracious personality behind it immediately put me at ease and set in motion a friendship that I will treasure always. As a result of that convention, I began serving later that year as a personal assistant to Edward, starting his fan club and arranging personal appearances, and got to know the man behind the actor. Edward was his father’s son, raised to have compassion and caring for all peoples and for the planet on which we live and to use his God-given talents to reach out and touch and uplift the spirits of others; he spent his entire life sharing that heritage with everyone he came in contact with. I had always admired his work on television and in film because his range in acting was so diversified, encompassing everything from serious drama to action thrillers to musical comedy. And that voice—once you’d heard it, who could ever forget its deep resonating quality that embraced each word with passion and reverence, which, in turn, entirely caressed the audience lucky enough to hear it. But it was Edward Albert the man who I truly admired and came to call “friend.” Throughout the many years that my husband, Buddy, and I were fortunate to be able to work with him, he taught me so much about life. There is a saying that “it’s not how many breaths we take, but the number of things we encounter in life that take our breath away” that really matters. This is how I saw Edward living his life. He greeted each new day as another opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life, whether it was championing the rights of the native Chumash Indians in his area, or working to preserve the precious lands around him, or reaching out to call someone he knew was ill or needed a pick-me-up, or writing a note to someone who felt alone, or offering a helping hand to a neighbor. And I especially got to witness his love of family, which was the very core of the person he was, and how he took such pride in watching his daughter grow to be everything she could be. Edward embraced life and he wanted those around him to do so as well. One of the best things that happened as an outgrowth of the fan club we started is the Band of Angels under the wonderful direction of Linda Moore. Edward remained so proud through the years to see this dream of his turn into reality. It touched his heart to hear of each heartfelt effort to lift another’s spirits or to pat someone on the back through cards, phone calls, and visits. For each person who gave someone else hope or courage or strength or encouragement, Edward was so very appreciative and thankful because it just reaffirmed his belief that the world is comprised of loving, caring individuals who will go the extra mile to help someone in need--be it friend or stranger. I know in my heart right now that Edward is looking down and wrapping his loving arms around everyone involved with the BOA in appreciation for the beautiful legacy created in his name. Years ago, a friend in fandom, Sylvia Mohr, sent me some special words of support, that touched my heart. They are very appropriate now and I’d like to share them with all of you: “When someone we love and care about dies, we feel that loss as a total blackout…the light of that life, that love, seems gone. But if we lift our eyes upward and see beyond our pain, we will know that like a total eclipse of the sun, the dark we see is temporary. Soon the light of our memories will shine and we will look forward to the day we shall see our loved ones, face to face, once again. Pain passes. Love never dies.” We lost a friend last week, and on a personal level, it’s a loss that will hurt for a long, long time; but the void is filled with so many beautiful memories and in knowing that we were blessed to have known such a wonderful man who touched our hearts and lives in so many special ways. We can all take heart in knowing that he left us with the most beautiful of gifts—a love of life, a love of people, and a love of our planet and its resources, to be treasured for all eternity—what an amazing legacy for us all and one we will never forget! We love you, Edward; but more importantly, thank you for loving us! Paulette and Buddy Edwards |

In the days and months ahead, please know that your loved one is warmly remembered... and your sorrow is held in the hearts and thoughts of those who care. I had the good fortune of playing a part in the movie, "THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK"... starring Edward; along with fellow Musketeers; Dennis Hayden; Rex Ryon and William Richert. This "cult classic" is said to be the "Greatest Musketeer movie ever made.. William Tredway" with an ALL-STAR CAST including R.G. Armstrong; Dana Barron; Timothy Bottoms; Fanny Brett; Roger Callager; Meg Foster; James Gammon; Dennis Hayden; Robert Littman; Sunshine Parker; Nick Richert and Jerry Trimble to name a few who devoted their hearts and time to the film written and directed by William Richert. EDWARD ALBERT.. a wonderful human being and "Musketeer"!!! "ONE FOR ALL and ALL FOR ONE" DANNY GREGORY.. just one of Eddie's many, many friends. |

| Comments: | Hello Edward! I read how you cared for your father during his final days/years. I think that is admirable. I too cared for my mother who had Alzheimer's Disease. She was diagnosed at age 58 and died at age 64 in 1987. Alzheimer's robbed her of her mind and engraved that time in mine. It changed the path of my life and I've never fully recovered - yet. Have you ever heard of Winnipeg, Canada? That is where I am. I've seen several titles that you have acted in and have always enjoyed your work. I thought it would be cool to say HELLO and also to once again say how I admire your devotion to your father. Peace and Health! Kelly. |

| Comments: | Edward: It is because of your kind father, Lt. Edward Heimberger, that my family exists. You see my dad was a marine at the Battle of Tarawa in November, 1943. He was in A/1/8, and after circling in higgins boats for 16 hours his unit was given the go ahead to storm the beach. Of the 800 marines in his battalion only 350 of them survived. I learned recently that my dad was one of the 80 marines that your father rescued from the water & took to one of the ships. I had learned that your dad was a member of a vfw post in new berlin, pa. Shortly after learning that he saved my dad's life that day I e-mailed the webmaster of the post & asked them to relay my "heart-felt thanks to eddie albert from the core of who I am for being SUCH A DECENT HUMAN BEING". Isn't it interesting, my choice of words...core of who I am...sometimes I think it was my dad sending the message to Eddie Albert through me. Really wanted to send flowers to "One of the Tarawa heros" from the family of another. With Sincere Gratitude Rebecca |

| Comments: | Recently I was first exposed to Mr. Albert's acting in "Butterflies are Free". I really felt bad for his character, the sense of rejection he conveyed when Hawn's character showed her flighty colors...he was truly moving and memorable. Before that I had seen "Body Language" and didn't even realize it's the same person. It's funny, you imagine someone in a role and can't picture them ageing....Keep up the good work Mr. Albert. Sorry to hear about your father's passing. Well, they never showed it again, but this month I was lucky and bought it on DVD, thanks to the new technique I was able to hear your voice for the first time, I only knew the synchronized version of your movies. Believe it or not, I´ve seen "Butterflies..." 20 times or more since I got it. I have to admit, it brought back memories of the seventies. I was surprized because I loved the movie then and plan to try to rent it this weekend and view it with my young adult daughter. I was also crazy about Eddie!! |

| Comments: | I had the privilege of seeing Butterflies are Free along with 40 Carats as a double feature "way back when" and believe me, that tells you a lot about an actor. He really made an impression on me about his acting skills. |

| Comments: | I'd just like Edward to know how much I appreciate the wonderful work that his father did, and how it still touches lives today. My oldest son and I, now 5 years old, have a wonderful time together watching Green Acres on DVD -- when he's older he'll no doubt meet Humphrey Briggs and all the other fantastic characters that your father brought to life. Our Best Wishes to You and Family |

| Comments: | Mr. Albert is a fine actor (Butterflies are Free and Midway), one we could do to see more of. He's also apparently a very strong, calm man. In a book about a terrible horse-riding accident that nearly severed her leg( ("Not by accident"), the author credits Mr. Albert with saving her life, by rendering first aid to her while waiting for the medics. My condolences to him on the loss of his father. |

| Comments: | I was thinking of Edward this week with the news of the loss of his father, who I admired greatly. I was the writer/producer who cast Edward in an episode of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." Needless to say, he did a beautiful job, and we felt very lucky to have an actor of his caliber and accomplishments aboard. Ironically, the week we shot that episode also happened to be the week my own father suddenly passed away. I felt compelled to try to contact him with my heartfelt condolences and support during this difficult passage. All prayers and appreciation -- Nick Bakay |

| Comments: | Dear Edward My sincere condolences on the passing of your father, a great man. I read his obiturary in the LA Times, and was surprised to hear about his working for the Circo Escalante. I was married to an Escalante and my children are Escalanes. I have a nice story about your Dad and you, as a matter of fact. We were at Santa Monica Beach, and my daughter stepped on a broken piece of glass so we went to the Santa Monica Emergency, we were standing in line to get to see the doctor, when in you came with your Mom and Dad, your mom was very distraught because you had either dove in the pool and hit your head or fell, she was so worried about you she wanted your dad to use his clout to get you in rightaway, your Dad looked over at me and said No, these people were here first. He was my hero for being so kind and considerate. After reading the obituary I said to myself what a small world here he was kind to a little girl Escalante, if we had spoken he would have learned her name and maybe we could have reminisced about the Circo, my children's great grandmother performed in the Circo also. God Bless |

| Comments: | Mr Albert First of all, please accept my sympathy upon the death of your father. I have been trying to find a way to contact you, and, after much rigamarole, I guess that this is it. I hope that you receive it personally. I read of your father's death in an article on CNN.com. It said that you took off from your work for eight years to take care of your father. I admire you for that. Why? Because I am doing the same thing for my wife and I know what it entails. God bless you. Sincerely Robert M Kraus Akron Ohio |

| Comments: | My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Seems fitting for a Veteran to pass on this weekend. Joining his many military friends and meeting his God. Oh yes, I am sure the other friends from the gates of Hollywood will also be there. I, too, have been a caretaker (widowed twice at age 37 and 45). My father was born in 1904 (died age 73, I was 27). Bless you and your sister |

| Comments: | Hi Edward, Thanks for your wonderful website! I'm sorry that your father passed away! I assumed that your father is close to Jesus, because he has done many wonderful things for the community. I work full time as a Cook in Glendale, CA. I have worked for over 25 years, and being as a Cook for over 35 years. I am also hard of hearing, have completed BS in Food & Nutrition back in 1981. I realize that my degree is old, but I still practice it in my cooking, Low Fat and yet Nutritious. I started to learn to talk at 6 years old. My parents didn't know that I was deaf till I was 2 years old. Then they got help when I was 6 years old. So I missed the Grammar part of my life. So it was a lifetime struggle to master English. More later! With Regards & Appreciation, Thomas Wesley Jenson |

| Comments: | Dear Edward, Your Dad was sure lucky to have you. You are a great son, and you must have come from a loving family. I was lucky enough to take care of my Dad a few years ago. Alzheimers had taken away amost everything from him, but he was still able to love his family. He may not have been able to tell us, but we could easily tell he did. I never knew I could love an old man so much! I hope you feel better soon, - Phil |

| Comments: | Dear Edward, I want to offer my sincere Sympathy to you and your family on the death of your father. I will remember you and yours in my prayers. I thought your dad was an incredibly great actor! I enjoyed watching him play the "only sane man" on Green Acres. He could give a frustrated look that was so believable! I also want you to know you are a tribute to your dad's legacy. I first discovered you in "Beauty and the Beast" as I taped every show. I remember thinking "what a handsome man!" Then when I found out who you were in the credits, I still didn't know you were Eddie Albert's son until I read it somewhere. Your dad is at Home now. May you continue to follow in his footsteps! | Comments: | I just read that Eddie Albert has passed on. I'd like to offer my condolences to his son. I have always been a big fan of Eddie Albert (especially of his role in "Oklahoma!"). What a great comedic actor and what a lovely human being. He will truly be missed. I pray for God's comfort and peace for his family. |

| Comments: | DEAR EDWARD, I FIRST OF ALL WANT TO EXPRESS MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES FOR YOUR FATHER, EDDIE. I LOVED THAT GUY! A TRUE HERO FOR THE "REAL" LIFE! HE KNEW GOOD FROM BAD AND HE KNEW THE TRUTH ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL AND PERSONAL HEALTH. GOD BLEES HIM. I HAD NOT VISITED YOUR WEB SITE PREVIOUSLY. I KNEW ABOUT DENNIS WEAVER'S DAUGHTER IN LAW FROM THE FARMER'S MARKET TRAGEDY BUT I HAD NO IDEA THAT YOU WERE THERE. I PERSONALLY HAD LEFT ABOUT A HALF HOUR BEFORE(THE ACCIDENT) AFTER DOING MY WEEKLY SHOPPING THERE. I HOPE THAT ALL GETS BACK TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. PERHAPS WE'LL MEET AGAIN ONE DAY. IT WOULD BE GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN. I'M STILL GARDENING AND EATING VEGETARIAN AS WELL. I REMEMBER TALKING TO YOUR DAD ABOUT GARDENING AND ORGANINCS. HE MADE A GREAT IMPRESSION ON ME. I WISH MY DAD HAD BEEN INTO IT LIKE YOURS WAS. TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS, JOHN BARSKY |

| Comments: | I found the obituary of your father to be just beautiful. I, too, recently lost my father, who was also a remarkable man. He was a teacher, but mostly, he had a generous, giving heart, that puts men like him above the rest. So, I understand your loss, and I am so glad you saw the beauty in your father. You must be a remarkable man yourself. |

| Comments: | I read with great sadness the passing of your dad, and the Hero's Hero statement. When you feel up to it, I would be honored to have you as a guest on my radio program in Massachusetts. To talk about you, and of course your father. If you choose to do this sometime in the future, plese let me know, as I always wanted to speak with your Dad, but I understood the nature of his illness, and I knew it was not meant to be. My sincerest sympathies from myself and my wife Linda. The world will never be quite the same as it was. George Murphy |

| Comments: | This from CNN.com's May 28th story on the death of Eddie Albert: Edward Albert, 54, who became a prominent actor in "Butterflies Are Free," "40 Carats" and other films, said he put his career on hold for the past eight years to aid his father, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. On Friday, he remembered a moment several years ago in which the two sat in a garden together. "I said to him 'You're my hero.' I saw him struggling to put together the words, and he looked at me and said: 'You're your hero's hero.' I'll take that to my ... grave." Good stuff, this. |

| Comments: | Albert: I am 39 years old and an attorney. When I was in undergraduate school I used to watch Green Acres every day during lunch (reruns) and always felt that the show was way ahead of it's time. Was interesting to read that your Dad felt that way also. I'm very happy that your Dad had such a long life and am sorry that the last few years must have been very difficult. But....we should all have as many healthy years as he did to enjoy. Also...when he said that you were his hero.....I'm sure that he meant it! You should be very proud! Although, I'm only 39...you might find it unusual that I still have Green Acres on my Tivo to record every show. He was a pro and as they say.....The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.....so, I am confident that you share many of the same qualities. Just wanted to let you know that I am sorry for your loss and have no doubt that you will do him proud! I always tell people....the value of a persons life isn't just what they did but who they left behind. So...do him proud, as I'm sure that you will, and continue the tradition. You should be very proud and I will miss him and have no doubt that you will do him proud. Nobody lives forever but he gave it a good try. My thoughts and sympothies are with you and I wish you and your family all my sympathies and a great future. Thanks, Jeff |

| Comments: | I read about your father today, and the deep abiding love you have had for him. I really can't say anything profound. I don't know you. But in some small way, if these words can find their way to wrap their arms around you, to give you comfort in the moments of refining sadness as they pass through you, I want to extend them to you. If I was in the same room, I would sit in silence and just be with you. You have honored your father in the way you have loved and cared for him; my wish is that your life will inherit that same honor, blessed among men, approved by God. |
