I was very happy to see the love that was shown to you by our Native community in return for your presentations. Your presence here was a momentous occasion indeed because it marked the first time EVER that our cultures were recognized together under one roof, for one celebration. Hopefully, by doing more events like these in our area, we can teach others that some of our traditions will always be alive and that boundaries which separate our identities from our idigenous roots are barriers which we can contend with together.
