The article is published in the latest issue of Kinolog, the journal of the Slovene Kennel Club and was written by Ksenija's sister (as you well know, of course). The article is excellent and vividly portrays how you all felt at the ringside. It also clearly shows your great passion for this wonderful breed and the long road that you have travelled so far. I grew up with two great dane bitches, a fawn and a black, and my fondest childhood memories revolve around them. For the last few months I have been reconnecting with great danes and all my old passion for them is coming to life. Although I live with a completely different breed of dogs now (the shih tzu) and I love my dogs dearly, I keep dreaming that one day maybe my home will be graced by a magnificent Great Dane again. | Comments: | Ho avuto un magnifico alano nero, è stato il mio amicone sino al 30/08/06, data in cui l'ho trovato morto rientrando a casa per un collasso... aveva solo 5 anni e 3 mesi ed era con me da quando aveva 4 mesi. piu' passa il tempo piu' mi manca, ma non esattamente come puo' mancare un cane... forse per la mole, forse per l'intelligenza, cmnq adesso il divano è vuoto. io lo guardavo negli occhi e gli dicevo: VUOI UN ABBRACCIO? e lui cosa faceva? si strusciava come un gattone sulle mie gambe e poi faceva un saltino affinche' lo afferrassi con le braccia e lo strignessi a me. secondo me voleva essere preso in braccio e cullato! :) sono ancora un po' traumatizzata, lo confesso.. ero consapevole fin da subito che non vivono 20 anni gli alani... temevo la torsione, un tumore, l'artosi... ma lui se ne'è andato da solo, in silenzio e non tornera' mai piu'... mi illudo che sia sempre con me adesso che puo' perche' non "ingombra" piu'. se trovo il coraggio, vorrei tanto venire da voi perche' i cani sono magnifici e magari senza impegno vedere se scossa la scintilla e mi innamoro di un cucciolone... grazie |

| Comments: | seriously.. I've had the dream of owning a purebred Great Dane, with large bone mass and ooh, everything. Then I have decided officially, if I am to have all the necessary everythings for breeding, to breed Great Danes, because I love them soooo much and they are such amazing dogs. So, I happened upon La Benjamine's Site, and I find that they are amazing, and I like the big mass of them. And then I see Amigo Perro, and see them! I thought that maybe if the genetics and stuff would work out, that I could purchase a bitch from either of those and get stud later on from the other one! Then i found that they've already done that, so it would work! Then I found yours and think they are AMAZING, just pure amazing, I love the wrinkly faces! Then I saw Rairie Great Danes, and im in paradise. There's so many, I'm so glad I found you. I might even purchase a bitch, or a male from you in a few years!! Bye! |
