Greetings,

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Greg McGuire, and I am a free-lance acoustic music critic here in Nova Scotia.

I write review columns for a number of different Canadian outlets, including: the Globe and Mail (Canadas national newspaper); the Halifax Chronicle-Herald; the Casket (a pirate's treasure chest, not a coffin - the main daily newspaper in Cape Breton). I also write occasional pieces for Acoustic Guitar Magazine out of California. I am a free-lance writer, and my main job is teaching at St. Francis Xavier University here in Nova Scotia, Canada. St. Francis Xavier University has one of Canada's leading jazz degree programs.

I've attached a few recent reviews to the end of this message.

I was hoping that you might consider sending me a promotional copy of any new releases you might like to have considered for promotion here in this part of the country. (Ive been hearing good reports about the recent Down in the Cellar CD).

I write on a free-lance basis, so I will give you my office

You know, now that I've graduated and moved back home... wait, that's not cool - moved to my commune/loft in the village... I'm noticing a distinct lack of honest music. Bring on the single.

http://www.msu.edu/~millsbr2 It'd be cool to release the mini CD with a free will offering. I think I could trick my mind into donating $10 to Flatfoot and getting a promo-style CD out of the deal easier than I could justify paying $5 for two songs I've already downloaded. Same thing, but the I'd be fooling my brain and giving you more money. Does that make any sense? Josh.

Hey,

We're considering releasing our Buffalo Creek/ Shadow on the Moon on a mini CD, with the goal of raising funds to record something full length (we have no intentions of profit, just trying to make the cost bearable). Would people be interested in this?

I noticed y'all hadn't had a new entry to the guestbook in a while, so I thought I would contribute some of my Ferndale Flava for my favorite East Lansing band. I'm pumped to see the Blind Pig show tomorrow...it's been too long since my last Flatfoot fix. Keep up the rockin' good work, guys!

PS: Two enthusiastic thumbs up for the recent inclusion of a Jayhawks song to the repertoire!

I dreamed I saw St. Augustine alive as you or me, and she asked me, "Tim," because that's what she called me, Tim, "Tim," she said, "Tell me this, for I am a great philosophical and theological mind of my own generation, but what is this 'rock' I hear so much about?" I immediately knew the nature of her question, and what I must do. St. Augustine wanted to be rocked, and I was just the man to ask. "My dearest St. Augustine," I confidently replied, "fear not, for I too have searched long and toiled much in my quest to be rocked. After years of search, having failed to be rocked, I considered my life a rock-less existence." Looking frightened, she asked me, "But Tim, have you never rocked?" With a laugh, I answered, "Oh, but our story is not yet completed, for just at my moment of greatest dispair, I discovered the Most Rockin' Good Honest Music on the face of the earth. My dearest Saint, prepare to have your feet flattened by the rockin-est substance known to man: Flatfoot!"
Needless to say, the good Saint was rocked. She returned to the afterlife, her soul revitalized by this good honest rockin'. As she left, she promised to spread the good works of the Flatfoot to all the Saints and Angels. And just as she ascended to heaven, I awoke.

Well, it seems as though some of you may be confused, Thom really is the hottest guy in he band, hands down. Not only is he a musical genius, but he is also highly skilled in the art of bowling, acting, and quoting tombstone. The other band members are pretty cool, but lets be honest with ourselves ok, hes a hottie and quite frankly, I've never seen such a punim.
ps- your hair looks cute whatever the length.
