| Comments: | I am so sorry for your loss. I am the proud Mom of a 3 1/2 year old Black Dane named Athena. I cannot remember life before her nor can I imagine life without her. Approximately 3 months ago we were faced with Bloat. It came on rather suddenly in the middle of the night. Luckily I was aware of the symptoms and was able to get her to the Emergency Animal Hospital in time. Within an hour she was in surgery. Two days later we were able to bring our baby girl home!!
I do hope that you are healing from your loss and wish you all the best in the future. Banjo was lucky to have you. |

| Comments: | You're slide shows made me tear up a bit, I lost my dog Fats less than a year ago. He was an eleven year old mixed breed and he was my best friend. I let him out one morning and the gate was unlocked, he got out and was hit by a car. I took it very badly, but it was an accident. Things happen, Banjo was a beautiful dog and I can see that you loved him alot. That's what's important. Don't ever beat yourself up about the ice or anything else, he was a quality dog with a quality owner. My wife and I just got Duke, he's a seven week old great dane puppy and you're story makes me look forward to the years ahead with him and I must say that his personality is already unique compared to any other puppy I've ever had. |

| Comments: | Deborah, You don't know me but I read the tribute to Banjo and wanted you to know how he touched others lives. Even ones you were not aware of. Banjo was one of the first Danes I ever met up close in personal at a show in Edmonton. We were looking for a Dane at the time and Banjo was a big reason why we decided that a Dane was for us. Having lost other pets in similar uncontrolled circumstances, I sobbed to read your story and how you still blame yourself for his loss. I think we all want to give our beloved family members a long life free from any sort of suffering or awful experience. I can only say that by looking at your pictures, I know Banjo was loved. And so must he. Know that many others, shared in your love for such a fantastic dog. He will be missed. We all hope that we are so lucky to have such a loyal friend that we can have many years to share in the love, joy and the little pleasures in life. Know that such a loyal friend awaits you on the comfy couch, saving you a spot, at the rainbow birdge. |

| Comments: | I am so sorry for your loss. It is devastating to lose a beloved friend. I have never seen a more beautiful Great Dane in my life. He was majestic and imposing but at the same time a gentle giant. Your tribute to him is absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing little snips of his life with us. I could feel how much he was loved and cherished and I'm sure he returned that love ten fold. Your pictures are priceless and made me realise that I don't have enough of my boy and very few with me because I'm usually taking them. So thank you for that as well. It was quite comical to see how small the Boxers looked beside him :) I just e-mailed you prior to looking at your tribute to Banjo regarding Boxer pups. I sure hope you have some available or coming available soon. I would love to have a pup from a breeder who obviously loves her dogs so dearly.

I cannot imagine the torment you must be going through, but please remember that though he may have died far too young, he was fortunate enough to have a life with you as his companion. How lucky could one dog be? And I have no doubt he is agreeing with me...*S* |

| Comments: | Hello Deb,
I have not met you, nor Banjo in person but I can see how much love you have for your dogs, and such a beautiful tribute is evidence of just that. I lost my dog of 13 years a few years ago, and having worked in a vet clinic, I have seen many people lose their best friends. It's difficult to watch and know that there's nothing I can say to take that empty feeling away. Just know that time will heal some of the pain, and memories of all your good times together will keep Banjo close at heart. Please don't place any blame on yourself; there is no doubt that someone who loves their dogs as much as you do did everything they could and more. Looking at the photos you put together reminded me of the relationship I have with my dog now, and it brought tears to my eyes to imagine what you must be going through. My Deepest Sympathy, Lauren |

I remember when he was in our ( KAOS Dogsports) Canine Fun 101 class and we tried to tell him that he really could get into and go through the Agility tunnel. | Comments: | Deb, I'm still wiping the tears from my face. I'm sure that all of us who have loved and lost, relive the pain each time we hear of another loss. That was a wonderful and beautiful tribute to Banjo. He was so deserving of that. Banjo was a great dog and I was fortunate to have seen him from time to time. I know how much you loved him and both of you were very fortunate to have known that love for each other. I once read a comforting explanation by a four-year-old why dogs don't live as long as humans. He said, "Everybody is born so that they can learn how to live a good life, like loving everybody and being nice. Animals already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long." Take comfort in knowing that you gave him a great life and that you will see him again one day at the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure Rocko is already enjoying his company.
With my deepest sympathy and understanding, Shirley Hugs and kisses from Vegas and Rebar. |

| Comments: | I'm so sorry to hear of Banjo's passing. He was the first dane to catch my eye and make me want to watch the Great Danes in the ring. What a wonderful representative of the breed and a sweet boy to boot. I'm sure he'll be waiting at the bridge where you will meet again one day. |

Banjo was lucky to have you as part of his life, Deb, and I know he is watching carefully over you. I wish I could express how sorry I am for your loss, I don't think any "words" can ease your pain, but remember you have a lot of friends who care about you. With shared tears and sympathy, Susan |

| Comments: | What a beautiful tribute to your boy. I can tell how loved he was. The only thing God did wrong in designing dogs is that he didn't give them a long enough lifespan. |

| Comments: | Farewell, handsome man - a devoted family companion who lived up to his potential and rose to every occasion; and was a breeder's dream in all respects. I am proud to have brought him into this world, and my only regret was not being there as he left. Adieu, Banjo. |
