| Comments: | Just discovered the series on Netflix and watched every episode consecutively, all the way to "The Great and the Good." I just love the picturesque locales, gardens and country. Such a respite from the American dramas in which the detectives go in guns blazing, and graphic gore and violence abound. Midsomer Murders has done a great job of promoting the UK as a tourist destination, that is for certain! Will miss John Nettles horribly once he no longer appears in the episodes. |

I do wish it was explained why DS Scott left so suddenly, other than one day he was sick. I really liked him, hope it was because John Hopkins had another offer. I like DS Jones too, though... |

| Comments: | Hi,
I have been watching Midsomer Murders since the first episode. It has been a very enjoyable series. However I have found the last few series not as well written as early series and not as pleasing on the eye! Midsomer writers need to stick to what made the earlier episodes so enjoyable. The stereotypical village, the Grand country houses and country folk! Village fetes and events!! Look at: Death of a Stranger & Dead Man's 11, etc!! Max |

| Comments: | Hello from Denver, Colorado!!
Love your site, can't wait to read it all. Just read that John retired from the show beginning Feb. 2011 ( I am watching the series via our local library DVD collection). Many times I need to wait a week or so to get the next DVD. I am just moving into 2010. I always wondered what the bird and/or animal sounds are in the background. Finally found out that one of the predominate sounds are foxes (which I had never heard). It was a fluke how I heard the first one and tied it to MSM's. I also found a website with only fox sounds on it. Foxes have so many calls. Thank you again... Lynn |

| Comments: | The episode of Midsomer Murders last night was brilliant. Neil Dudgeon is all charm and charisma as DCI John Barnaby in his fifth case of the current season. Barnaby was testing out the sword towards Aidan Hardy, there was only a bit of fencing between them in the gym of the Causton Country Club. There's a great sense of humour in Neil Dudgeon and his character Barnaby. The stories of Midsomer Murders are brilliant, they're very fascinating. |

| Comments: | Here in Malta I watch Midsomer Murders on Italian TV station La7 which obviously airs the episodes dubbed in Italian which given the island's proximity to Italy isn't really a problem here because like English, Italian is a popular language. During the summer months La7 is showing an episode every day from Monday to Friday. They started the schedule with the very first5 episode and by the time of writing have reached episode 26 (Painted in Blood). I hope La7 brings in the new episodes in their new schedule because by time I have grown fond of most of the characters in the series. Too bad though that Mr. Nettles and Ms Wymark will not feature anymore. A hearty welcome goes to Mr.Neil Dudgeon. |

| Comments: | Oh, dear.... what are you doing to MIDSOMER MURDERS. You seem to have forgotten the old maxim of 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' Some new-broom at your end just doesn't understand this programme at all - IT IS NOT SET IN REALITY... it is fictional... a drama... fixed in time... has no bearing on the modern or the real world.... that's why we like it and watch it. So... please lay-off the gratuitous groping (there's enough of that on tv and everywhere else)... let it stay traditionally English (and no, I am not racist or a xenophobe) like a great big comfort blanket. It's a grown-up fairy tale so please leave 'issues' and pc well out of it. Get rid of all the baby-producers with their eager ideas who just haven't got a clue and put them somewhere to grow up and get a bit of experience before letting them loose on our programmes. And we will get used to the new Barnaby.. his wife is a pain and completely out of time... and the new pathologist is just awful (where on earth did you dig him up from).
My young son will not watch the new episodes... thinks they have lost it... so we record all the old episodes and watch those again instead. |

| Comments: | I've enjoyed Midsomer Murders for a long time and your website is great. I don't think the episodes with the new DCI Barnaby have aired in Australia yet. As long as they stick to the tried and true formula I think it will continue to be great. Neil Dudgeon is a great actor and I can't wait to see him in action. Keep up the good work with the website |

| Comments: | I live in Manchester, Michigan (USA). It's west of Ann Arbor, which is west of Detroit. There are a number of us here who love the series. We even have a couple of British transplants in our small community.
I'm just beginning Set six of the series, getting them from the Library. I was wondering the order of the episodes, used google, and found your site. It's fabulous! So much work!! Such devotion..... I'm technically watching the series because I love all things about the British Isles. I am entranced by the scenery, vistas, cottages and estates. I hope to visit one day. THANK YOU for doing this!!! |

| Comments: | There is very good news that Jo Wright is the new producer for Midsomer Murders. It's wonderful that she'll do a good job writing the script for all the episodes in the future. She's starting in the next production of Series 15 in the autumn. She's replacing Brian True-May. |

| Comments: | I live in Oregon, USA, and I have every episode of Midsomer Murders released on DVD in the USA. I watch them over and over again....love the stories, the cast, and the scenery!
New episodes are released much too slowly for my taste...as soon as I receive the newest installment, I'm ready for the next one. I'll miss Inspector Barnaby (and Joyce and Cully)...and hope the new cast lives up to the legacy of the old. |

| Comments: | The new writer for Midsomer Murders is Jo Wright, she'll be replacing Brian True-May when the production of the current series 14 is finished and then she'll be writing the screenplay for this popular mystery drama in the next series, the 15th series in 2012. Cool! |

| Comments: | I would love the stage actress Helen Grace to come back to Midsomer Murders and play a different character to Lynn Spearmann of Bad Tidings in a different episode in future but hopefully she won't play a murderess to a good character, it was pure evil and manipulative of Lynn to try to kill Cully, because Cully is a lovely person though. The best role for Helen Grace to play is a nicer girl than Lynn in future under Neil Dudgeon's roof. |

| Comments: | Love the site! Watching all the repeats on ITV just now and they keep minimising the cast listing - so at least I can look up who is who now. [Not been on the internet long.] Keep up the good work. Best wishes. Janis.
PS. Is Cully short for something, or just Cully? |

| Comments: | The convention is on this weekend (June 17th/19th) and it's better known as Midsummer in Midsomer, it's on every year. This year is the fourth convention about Midsomer Murders. |

Also interested in the locations, as I used to live at Bicester. Is there a book available such as `Morse`s Oxford`, which shows a lot of the locations used?. |

| Comments: | I live in New Jersey, USA - I am a hopeless Anglophile.
I own all the episodes of M.M. to date. I don't know if this is the proper place for me to pose this question to you, but I have searched everywhere else for an answer. Since I am 82 years old, I often fall asleep during episodes so I may have missed something but I cannot figure out why Cully Barnaby Dixon appears in several episodes of Series 13(the final Series with Tom Barnaby) without her husband and looking very sad indeed!! Can you enlighten me? Thanks for this website! All the best. |

| Comments: | What a great idea! I didn't know this site existed. I shall enjoy checking it out. I used to live in the "Midsomer" region throughout the 80's, and recognise Thame & Haddenham. I think Brill and it's windmill were used on an old episode, but can't recall for sure. Just watching an afternoon showing of "Midsomer Life"--one I haven't seen. Great stuff! |
