Comments:I'm an avid fan of Midsomer Murders and have watched all available episodes. I wonder, however, how come "Talking to the Dead" has been shown I believe on Danish TV (logo DR1) and "Dogleg Murders" has been shown on Italian TV (logo PRIMA). Neither are even scheduled on ITV.

Comments:I live in Australia and have watched John Nettles in 'Bergerac' and 'Mid Summer Murders' over the years. Never in order but according to the whim of the TV stations which is a pity. Was unaware that John Nettles was leaving MM in 2009 as unfortunately we never seem to see current programs. Just repeats.

I have enjoyed watching John Nettles in these shows and wish him all the best in his forthcoming life either in films/TV or just plain life.

Comments:My wife and myself greatly enjoy watching our collection of Midsomer Murder DVD collection every weekend. We presently own 12 sets of Midsomer Murders, but wish DVD's for sale would be released faster in the United States and shown more frequently on television over here. It is a supurb series with wonderful actors and the scenery and filming is an outstanding presentation of British county life.
Sincerely, Kevin M. Slattery

Comments:My mother and I have been avid Midsomer Murder fans since the first episode was aired in the U.S. We have written letters and tried to get the show back on U.S. television. Finally began buying the CDs so we can watch when we want. So sad to hear John Nettles is leaving the role - he is FABULOUS.

Comments: the saddest day was when Arts and Entertainment TV stopped showing Misomer Murders. since then we have had no showingsw and depend on purchasing dvd's from the UK. since reading that our PBS stations will be handling them, its wonderful, but starting out with numbeer one it will years to catch up on what we have already seen. Unfortunately, the station does not have a good record for showing in sequence. but i will have to wait and see. thank you for all the information.

Comments:What fabulous new that PBS will be airing the show here in the States. And this means no commercials!! I don't mind at all if they begin with the first episode as long as they continue to air the show as a regular feature. I have no doubt this will only bring an enire new band of followers!!

Comments:For years, I have been watching midsomer murders. Actually,Monday used to be midsomer nite, but then a British Columbia t.v. station started airing the full episode on late Saturday nite/Sunday morning. Now, the channel I have been watching so faithfully, aired the last show last night.(March 22) I am so very disappointed . I enjoyed the full episode, However, TV0 still has it in two parts on Monday nights , so I guess I shall go back to that. (hopefully they will be continuing the series ). I also noticed that PBS is going to start airing the series in May /09. I really do enjoy midsomer murders, it is not sexy or vulgar and I used to love the comments Troy came out with. All of the assistants are good and John does make the series and a replacement will be difficult to say the least. All the best to John and his new endevours. Hope he can pop in for some cameo appearances. In last night series, the medical doctor died. Never know what is going to happen at Midsomer Murders! Totally enjoyable and to know the Queen enjoys it at well , Midsomer , take a bow.

Comments:I think the new episodes are getting weaker and should be made better. I heard that after John Nettles retires there will be a new DCI. They should bring back Troy rather than a new person because the public like him. He was made a DCI during The Green Man and would be great as the lead detective. It would be like Lewis returned after Morse died. Just a thought!

Comments:fabulous, thanks for all your efforts
I see a cast list of every episode
but I was thinking....(even though it hurts )

what about a list of every actress who has appeared
in the series ?
Im sure it would be a tour de force of British and American actresses... Im thinking of Liza Goddard
Jane Booker etc

It would be interesting to peruse such a list in alphabetical order.... maybe with the No of the episode
o( or episodes ) after.
thanks again, great site
Tim

Comments:MM has to be my favourite TV show. I cannot say as much as I'd like, but without doubt it conjures up an England similar to that of PG Wodehouse (without the body count, of course) - eternally summer, full of odd characters, and encompassing quait villages devoid of traffic. It sticks in my mind as the sort of England I imagine I left many years ago. Of course, it's not a true representation, but who needs reality?

Comments:My husband & I are fans of Midsomer Murders & thoroughly enjoy each episode. Although we live in Canada we are fortunate to be able to view these & other British programs through the foresight of a couple of TV stations that provide better entertainment than what we normally get here. It's too bad that John Nettles is leaving as it will be hard to replace him as he and Jane Wymark really make the show. I understand Mr Nettles need to leave & perhaps do other acting, but, we will really miss him. We wish him all the best.

Comments:It is very sad news that John Nettles is quitting Midsomer Murders and I whole heartily agree that MM will never be the same with out John in the lead. Currently MM is not shown in the US so I have to buy all the episodes from the UK as they become available, but after Johns last appearance I don't think I will be buying them any more.
