Comments:..........there are endless possibilities. How I perceive is my responsibility

Comments:Answer to question on What's the? page. Trick question. From my perception, that is..."my I," "my ego" ....I see this not so much as a question of whether the statement fits the definition, but more a question of if readers find the statement acceptable. It seems that we choose to find words that fit either in the positive category or in the negative category. Egocentric has come to mean something negative. I think most readers here would not want to be called egocentric. I always find it to be a shame that we try to decide if something is positive or negative instead of thinking in terms of, "does this fit my particular perception of what I would like to be?" In my perception any placement of ego is acceptable. It is a personal matter of perception and being that creates each individual with their own unique way of presenting ego. I think the real question here is, where do you want to place your particular ego? Does it really ever matter what negative words people use when they look at what you are? Every single attribute that we can have has advantages and disadvantages. The word egocentric is the negative view of the same energy that can be called self sufficient. The opposite energy can be called either needy or considerate. Sorry folks, there is no perfect way of being. Looking from inside of my ego, I have decided to find all energies acceptable. I may not adopt them for myself, but I find value in those energies that others choose. For whatever happens that may look negative to some perceivers, including me, I know that energy has its other side. We all choose which set of circumstances feel comfortable from within our own ego. I have chosen to try to find a place of acceptance and love for all expressions of energy and ego. I do not have the same strengths as the one who made the statement in question, nor the same weakness, and that person does not have mine. My personal ego longs for companionship, fellowship, people being together and treating each other nicely. That's me. Both views live on this Earth together. My view is, why not love? Why not accept? I choose to accept the view in the statement as perfectly fine. So I ask the question again: Does the statement appeal to you or not? Do you relate to where this person has placed the ego? If not, that's ok for both of you. I love you exactly as you are.

You have an awesome site, and I will be sharing some of Tad's pictures with my son tonight...He is 8 and is talking about wanting to go into theater!! We are planning to put him into a summer camp with some theater workshops...so I know he will want to see Tad's work posted on the site. Thanks for listening to me ramble on. We do fun things like share good websites, tear about English literature, and travel to beautiful places while staying in mossy hostels... She wrote about your site on her Live Journal and I had to check it out. I love the wonderful pictures and great layout... I am impressed and wish my own grandma were as up-with-it! I don't know if you'll be attending Melissa's graduation in late May but, if you are, I look forward to meeting you very much! In Melissa's words, "She's a real lady... one of the few around today."

Comments:Your family must feel very loved as it is evident from your site you are extremely proud of them all. Have you gone into the geneology of your ancestry yet? It seems everyone I know is researching their ancestors, and I find that sad as it suggests the repository of lineage - usually held by the women, as shamanu & healers - has been discarded or belittled for too long. Your site is a step towards healing this breach. Good luck with it. My family are my friends and the characters in landsinger. VERY different life experience!
