I just wanted you to know that I took ownership of a new chocolate lab puppy on June 12 from breeder Carol Gaskins at Pure Lab Kennels. My puppy is a recent product of SIMON. I can't express how awesome this puppy is. You all should be proud of the dogs produced from your kennel. Everyone who has seen my new puppy is amazed at him. My vet (who is a lab person) is in awe of him and verified that he is definitely a high quality dog. I am most certainly a proud owner, and I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to own such a perfect dog. She is adjusting perfectly with our two cats. She is the most "PERFECT" dog. She is everything you described and more. I want everyone to know that we bought this gal "sight unseen". We told Betty what type of a dog we were looking for and she matched us up with Skye. Don't ever be afraid to take this same plunge. We could not ask for any more of a gift. She is so gentle and patient. I am retired. It takes me a little more time to get out in this cold weather and she sits patiently as I put on my winter gear. This January we will start her in school to be a therapy dog for cancer patients at the U of M. She will pass with flying colors. All we can say is "THANK YOU VERY MUCH BETTY, WE LOVE YOU...... Wanted to drop you a note and let you know Bailey (Jan. 2001) is doing wonderful. We recently moved from the golf course house to another house with plenty of room for her to run. She also has a new friend, our neigbors have a 4 year old yellow lab and they have become best friends. I still bring her to work at the course a few times a week. Where she has her following of admirers at the club and they get mad if I don't bring her around for a visit. My wife and I have talked about adding another chocolate to the mix. Two weeks ago i lost my sweet loving Golden Retriver Lancalot. I miss them terribly. But, there is somehing soothing and healing about looking at your beautiful and healthy Labs. I met you some time ago at a show in Rosemont IL. I was struck by the Lab you were showing. You told me of your website and I have been hooked on getting my "puppy fix" here ever since. I just checked in to see the latest babies, and I get teary everytime I'm on this website! Every single dog/puppy is absolutely gorgeous. You should be very proud! Just to update you on Otis - he's the joy of our lives! He loves everyone, particulary his chocolate "big boy", Jake. They are such pals! He has such a sweet disposition and has been SO easy to raise. His tail never stops and his eyes just dance. He wants to play non-stop and at night, he gives us "the look" when it's time for all of us to go to sleep. He is a hoot! Sorry I haven't updated you in ages! We have been too busy playing and enjoying River. She has FAR exceeded my expectations. She is simply a great dog! We are almost finished with puppy socialization classes, she has one more class on Wednesday. It's nice because there are so many dogs within our family that she always has someone to play with. Of course, she is learning that I am fun to play with too. She playbows to me and is so cute when she plays. She goes on walks everyday and is doing awesome on the leash. She goes back to the vet on Monday and I expect she'll weigh over 25lbs, 3 weeks ago she weighed 22lb 6 oz. She is beautiful and we love her tons! She and Beaner (our other lab who is still doing great in spite of having cancer!) sleep on the floor next to our bed and she doesn't even chew on anything. I am impressed with this! She really is well behaved. I do try to keep shoes up and such so she doesn't start any bad habits. She hasn't had an accident in the house for about 3 weeks, she seems to have an iron bladder. She especially loves my husband, she will whine on his side of the bed so he will lift her up and let her lay on our bed in the morning. So, we all LOVE her and we are so thankful for her! Thank you again! Her personality is great, very layed back and confident. Nothing seems to bother her. She is perfect for our family. I was going to tell you that we are definitely waiting at least a year to spay her. I heard again of a friend of mine that spayed her dog at 6 months and the dog is leaking urine and needs estrogen. I don't want to deal with that! :)Megan |

We moved from the United States to Germany, and of course, Monty took it well. Not only has Monty helped me, but last year, after I was Married, and my Wife Nina joined our little home, he helped her cope with the stresses of leaving family and friends in ones land, for a new start.
Absolutly a true fact of Monty, the loving Lab. Allow me to share just one more story concerning Monty. Two years ago, we were visiting my Wifes Grandmother. A frail, old woman who was a bit intimidated by Monty due to his size. Monty sensed this fact, and without a word from us, kept his distance from her until she became comfortable with him. What an intelligent creature, what love and understanding. We love our Monty dearly, and all who are considering this wondeful breed of friend will not error in thier choice!
