| Comments: | Archie won't go through with. He will get cold feet. I mean this IS Archie Andrews' whole point of existence; to be burdened by the choice of two beautiful yet different young ladies, and help Jughead get his next burger. Nah.....it won't happen. It's like when Superman died then came back all bionic like. NICE TRY!!!!!!!

| Comments: | Dear Stan-
I wanted to thank you for all the pleasure your work has brought me all these years. I have Archie books going back to the mid 70's I'll never get rid of because you captured such a special feeling of childhood not found today. I have a stack of Archie title digests I keep on my bookcase and when I need a pick me up I'll read thru them. It's amazing how the stories still make me smile and even laugh (tho I've read them in to the ground!) You've long been one of my favorite artists. I was fortunate to find your website. As I looked on the web I found very little about the past Archie classic artists such as yourself. Dan Decarlo is the only one who is well represented and I am sad to find that one of my other favorite artists-Sam Schwartz has so little info out there. I'm hoping to continue my detective work on Sam and one day create a tribute website to him and his amazing story-telling. It's a shame the work went uncredited for so many years for you wonderful creators who brought so much to us. Thank you so much for being part of my childhood and making the memories so special thru your talents. My very best wishes, Steve Goupil |

| Comments: | Hi Stan,
My "Uncle Normie" Goldberg saw me reading some Archie comics during a visit in 1992, and after he told you about it, you were kind enough to go out of your way and make my brother and I personalized Archie sketches that we still treasure to this day. I have the drawing of Betty and Veronica dreaming about Archie's huge head while they sit in a pool. It hangs on the wall of my music studio and it inspires my creativity everyday. Archie comics were a huge part of my childhood, and ever since that day when we received those two gifts, I have looked for your name on the Archie comics every time that I see one in the store. I just saw your name on one the other day. Keep up the great work!!! I ended up pursuing a career in music after graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in violin performance and composition. I currently work as a music supervisor for a film composing agency called Evolution Music Partners, while I pursue my own career as a composer. I also sing and play violin with my band called Los Sindicate (www.LosSindicate.com). Drawing cartoons is a passion and hobby that I also love, and I have been doing it ever since I can remember. I would love to show you some of my crazy characters! It would be nice to hear from you, and I just wanted to say hello and thanks again for the priceless gifts!!!!! Kind regards, Austin Trujillo austin.trujillo@gmail.com 310-383-0733 |

| Comments: | I've been plowing thru a "60's Marvel" re-reading project for some time now, and lately frantincally writing reviews of my impressions for several message boards. But I've also been slowly working my way thru what i like to call "cover restorations"-- scanning, cleaning up, "repairing", sometimes even "correcting" printing errors on a growing number of 60's Marvel Covers. Those things had a UNIQUE look to them, and Stan Goldeberg's coloring, sadly, has NEVER been duplicated, and NEVER been reprinted!!! I've posted DOZENS of my cover clean-ups online, many at the GCD (though their editors have NOT been smart enough to appreciate my efforts). I've tried to get both Marvel's reprint editor and Greg Theakston (who does a lot of "art restoration" for their reprint books) interested in using my cover clean-ups, so Stan G.'s STUNNING work can be shared with modern generations-- but neither has shown any interest at all! (sigh)
I'm glad to see Stan is still doing comics-- I wish him health & happiness! Henry |

Just a quick note at this late hour to say my daughter and I enjoyed meeting you and your wife at the NCS brunch in Orlando--thanks to Mike Lynch. It was a welcome change from my usual office routine seeking little Skippy's freedom from the peanut butter pirates and their infringing allies. But I'm making progress with lawyers, who no longer sneer and ridicule my legal research re artists' rights! I just came across your website that gave me a chuckle with you peering over your easel. | Comments: | I know this is a title you probably don't remember much about, but when I was younger I used to love Binky and His Buddies. It's funny, and I'm entirely unsure about how you feel about this, but it's one of the titles I can look back on and still feel the guys in it are as adorable as I did in my youth. Being a guy myself, I know that might throw some people off, but it has to be said that your style of drawing portrays the most adorable, lovable guys...especially in the 60s and 70s, with the wild hair, the wilder fashions (which you did beautifully), and the crazy stories.
I'm an artist myself now, and I hope you'll stop by my own corner of the web sometime. I just wanted to tell you that your work did touch my life, which is something that I know firsthand that artists don't get enough people telling them. Thank you sincerely for that. I know Binky and his friends have long since faded into comic book retirement, but I can dream that somewhere, somehow, all of my friends are still having their crazy adventures together, if I just stop and think about it. Thanks again. :) |

It was a pleasure to re-visit all those great covers! It's always interesting to see a span of a title such as Archie from the late 1940's to present. Your artwork definately is part of the history of these books and is distict, yet true to the characters. I really appreciate your work. |

| Comments: | Stan --- do you remember me??? You did a whole series of Archie comics for me to hang in my kitchen here in DC --- this was when I was still working for the Intl Monetary Fund I think... I have often thought of what happened to you!!! I am now working for the managing partner of a multinational law firm in Georgetown --- still in the same apartment!!! But management renovated it for me so all the your drawings have gone into folders ---
I just happened to think of your name because I have wondered, over the years, what had happened to you --- and I "googled" you --- imagine my surprise to see your website!!! Good for you --- it's nice to see you're doing so well!!! best regards --- john |

| Comments: | Hello! Mr. Goldberg!
I wanted to say hi! My name is Miss Garnette Glenda Faircloth/G.G. for short! All my life I have enjoyed drawing cartoon drawings. I used to read Archie Comics alot when I was younger! I still do.....to study the drawings and enjoy the comics! Through a good friend, Charlie Baxter, who sent me an article about Martin Filchock...... I struck up a correspondence with Mr. Filchock. Next I created a yahoo group site about cartoonists and cartooning! I am sending you 2 links to each site I created! Mr. Filchock helped me to correspond to Robin Snyder (The Comics Newsletter) and now Robin is a member too of Pioneer and they mentioned my site in their newsletter! Bob Buethe joined and has been wonderful in his helpful suggestions to get the site created and moving!. He always offers his help and sends wonderful links and news to the site! Especially about The Berndtoast Gang! Bob Buethe attended a meeting this year! He e-mailed the link to the group site with wonderful photos & information! I am happy to get to say hello to you, today Stan Goldberg! Sincerely, G.G. with a smile! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/zeekyzebraandcompany http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PioneerAndBeginningCartoonists/ |

I do like the Archie style artowrk-when it is done in Archie comics. |

I admire your art very much, as I am an avid reader of Archie Comics, and my whole family reads, or read Archies. I have Archie comics even from when my MOTHER was a child, and I really love the art and the fun in them. I was very surprised to hear that you live in Mamaroneck, as I live very nearby. I hope that you will be involved with Archies for a long time, hopefully long enough for my future children to read them! Thank you very much, An Avid Archie-Reading Kid |
