I like the way you have displayed the chords, and they seem very accurate which is not always the case on some sites I have visited.Maybe you could do some Jazz Standards sometime,as they seem popular here in the UK.Anyway, thanks so much, and God Bless. A year on and that's what I have been doing. Thanks to your fanatastic site it's all come flooding back and more. Don't stop what you are doing, it's BRILLIANT!
|Comments:||Thank you Betty for the years of endeavour in creating your site , nearly a decade now since the project started with 2 updates a day or so ever since.. Many guitarists and ukulele players have developed and performed due to your work which needs the credit you deserve . You remain elusive in cyberspace to this day sharing your gift with underdogs who no doubt many of are now virtuosos themselves giving live music performances for the joy of others. We look forward to another 700 + updates in 2013|
|Comments:||I started playing a uke 10 monthes ago, and want to start with the baritone uke (if Santa's kind). Got to your site from a link in 'Humble Baritonics'. Only spent a few minutes here this am but am really impressed. Your song selection and chording are wonderful. Music from the fifties and sixties has never been equalled. I look forward to spending a lot of time here. Thanx for all your hard work.|
|Comments:||I STINKIN' love this site! I mean it, I am here every day.
I started playing the ukulele this past June, up until then I was strictly a vocalist & cowbell aficionado. Your site has been so useful, easy to navigate & easy for me too read!
THANK YOU for all of this work, I love it!!
Did I forget to mention that I LOVE THIS SITE?
|Comments:||I just found this incredible site tonight, and I've had amazing fun going on a trip down memory lane, playing my guitar and ukulele with my partner. This is an incredible body of work; THANK YOU soooo much for taking the time to put this all together. I can't wait to fully explore each album/genre/artist! Unlike a few other sites I visit for song chords - most of these songs are perfect with no need to transpose, with correct lyrics, and cool gifs and images to brighten the web page. You're amazing, Betty Lou thanks for all your hard work!|

|Comments:||Wow! I felt like I struck it rich when I encountered your website! Great songs...easy to read (big fonts)...midis...intro..love it! Nice website backgrounds for each individual artist too! Thanks so much for sharing!|
|Comments:||This is THE best site for older tunes. Thank you for all the effort you put in.
Should you ever get the chance to do "Life gets tedious, don't it" by Peter lind Hayes, that would be fantastic!
All the best.
|Comments:||Betty Lou, WOW! What a great site! SO VERY MUCH music -- not just the favorite song, but also the whole group of songs sung by the musician. Every time I come onto the site, I find new and great songs.
What's missing is the main piano riff from Morning Has Broken (Cat Stevens). Could you put that on?
|Comments:||Thank you so much for this site! I am the youngest person in my Retirement Home and I started a sing-a-long. I play the guitar and can pick things out on a piano. Some of the older ladies here play piano, but it is hard to find some of these songs with guitar chords. God Bless you!|
|Comments:||Betty Lou -- this site is positively amazing! Tons of songs, easy for folks like me, but sophisticated enough to sound good. I play ukulele, but these songs and your format are great! Love the graphics, too! Love your recordings, too! I started using this site about ten years ago when I started uke, and I always come back. Thank you SOOOO much, from all of us who love you and your work!|
|Comments:||This is the site I come back to time and time again when I'm looking for chords. Yes there are other chord sites out ther but this remains the best in my opinion.. A lot of board work has gone into setting it up and maintaining it so well done.
|Comments:||What a wonderful collection of the "oldies", I am full of admiration for the effort you must put in to generate and maintian such a treasure. I am always searching for songs to play and perhaps sing although I am very new to the guitar and at 81 I struggle a little, but this site has inspired me, so thank you so much. Perhap you might consider
looking at "Ring of bright water",from the film of the same name, recorded by Val Doonecan, a beautiful song, but sadly not available anywhere
Thank you again Eric Watts

|Comments:||Thanks for the Crests' Sixteen Candles. Someday I WILL play it like Brian Setzer. Your chord progressions sound totally awesome: 3rd fret on my Godin 5th Avenue. It just brings out the the natural sweetness of that guitar on its middle frets. THEN I found the Midi. I love it when folks like you post those things...my JamTracks CDs get pretty boring after while. Keep up the good work. Sites like yours are perfect for a guitar underdog like me. "I'll be back..."|

|Comments:||I found your topics individually, but tonight discovered my favourites all come from your wonderful website. I found new titles to my amazement and delight, you have worked very hard to produce an excellent site, full of great numbers by all artists. Well done, and thank you for sharing and educating me on how to improve my playing! I'll be back ....cheers Walbuzz|
|Comments:||You can read the writing and music without a magnifying glass. Midi gives you a good idea of the song. Being a newbie this sort of thing helps a lot. A lot of the other sites it's difficult where the adverts keep taking up most of good space and infringing on the song sheet.I thank for a good clear site. onslow hugs|
|Comments:|| Very cool site I very much enjoyed looking through the files and even though I'm not very good at guitar I use it to relax and your site gave me a lot more to try.

|Comments:||Thanks so much for your amazing site! I am a beginner ukulele player, and your site is perfect for me! |Comments:||Hi Betty Lou,
I just had to congratulate you on your superb site. I`m a ukulele player over here in England and forever looking for material to play. I am a member of a Uke band which has just been formed in order to promote music as a pastime, It`s called UkeToo. There are a lot of new players in the band and they are getting a taste for older music. Your site is great because you also provide midi samples which are priceless if you`ve never heared the song before. Many, many thanks for your efforts.
|Comments:||Even though this site is aimed at people learning guitar,
I've been using it for some months now whilst learning to
play the ukulele, and have found it absolutely invaluable:)
Thank you so much for the excellent tabs! It's usually quite difficult
to find half decent ones on the Internet or books, and here you've compiled a wonderful array of brilliant music:) Keep up the good work, and once again, thankyouuuu!:) <3
|Comments:||WOW !! Somehow I've managed to stumble onto your site after a couple years of playing (well at least trying to)the guitar. I've found other Chord sites before but they've never had a 'real' feel about them.
I love your site.. even found some great stuff from Dave Dobbyn one of NZ's own. And only after a few short minutes have increased my playlist.. Awesome!
Needless to say I've bookmarked this site and will checking back regularly..
keep up the great work

|Comments:||I've been searching online for chords and lyrics for years. Always appreciative of those who spend the time, but the quality varies. Found your site today and was stunned. Its absolutely brilliant! Thank you thank you thank you.|
For more than a year I have been coming to your website seeking words and music to some of my favorite songs as I teach myself how to play a ukulele.
I cannot thank you enough for what you do here. I know that I will never be a great or even competent ukulele player, but I know that I will always be a joyful player and an enthusiastic one, too, thanks to you.
And you have added immensely to the joy by recently listing the lyrics and chords for the Maya the Bee song, at my request.
I will learn this song for my little granddaughter, Maya. I will also tell her how the song came to be transcribed. I will tell her that each of us has the potential to make someone else very happy. And we have this potential every single day of our lives by who we are and what we do with what we have. When we are really blessed is when we know that what we have done in the day mattered, meant something to someone, and added a measure of happiness in this world.
|Comments:||I'm new to your site. A friend told about your music with chords. As a novice guitar player I also like the 50s % 60s but finding lyrics with correct chord placement costs an arm and 2 legs.
I'm just a 74 year old retired marine who likes to play guitar and try to sing some songs for the Vets at he local VA hospital. But its hard to find the songs they like.
I hope you can be the answer to my prayers.
|Comments:||Hii! I love your web page. Everytime I grab my guitar to play some music I go and search songs there.
I wanted to ask you if you could please complete the lyrics of Sultans of Swing.
Thank you very much for uploading the chords of so many great songs
Greetings from Argentina!
|Comments:||We're both on the same wavelength. Thank you very much for spending so much of your time bringing back so many memories. I play live gigs and although I'm an old hand I find that people of all ages prefer music that lifts the soul whether its 5 or 105 years old. I peronally find the 50's to 80's stuff the most popular. It's a shame I didn't find much more after that time but I'm sure others will disagree, that's life, thanks again.
|Comments:||I love this site please come back soon.I printed thousands of songs and can't imagine life without it.
I don't usualy sign up for any websites on the net but I defenetly will sign up for that one even if I have spend my last dollar.
Thanks for all songs so far and see you back online soon.
P.S. I wish there was more sites like this one.
Even if you won't be able to comeback online i will cherish the songs that I have forever.

|Comments:||We discovered your site about a year ago when we started learning to play guitars; both of us are in our 60's and what fun we have had. You are such an amazing person to have made available so many songs, from so many eras, to so many people - for free! We trust that you receive all the wonderful things you wish for in your life.
We are Kiwis (New Zealanders) and for us to have discovered two great Maori songs (Po Karekare Ana & Hoki Mai) on your site - amongst all the others available to us - has been wonderful. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making such a difference in our lives.

The last two weeks I have been through most of your songs. I am a very bad guitar player, but your cord patterns are very good and has helped me so much. Thank you once again. Rgds fm Anders in Norway
|Comments:||'The Nightengale' song, by Chris de Burgh. OMG, what a stunning song. I'd never heard it before and have now played your video of it several times.
It is so poignent, makes my eyes tear up and chills up and down my spine at the same time.
Thanks so much for posting this today on you 'Updates' page. Makes me realize what I'm missing if I don't listen to the songs there just because I don't know them. Took a chance on this one, what a thrill.
Thanks again, Betty Lou for making my day.
|Comments:||God Bless You and Thanks for taking the time in this wonderful life to help others like myself re-visit our music past and remember all the wonderful songs we grew up with. Also your cord patterns are very good, kept simple and have helped me add many songs to my playing that used to take me weeks to listen over and over to the music and try to figure out the patterns. Again God Bless You and Thanks again. Oh one song from the 5o's I can't find is "I left my Heart in SanFrancisco" . You have some of T Bennet on your site but not that one. If you can add that would be great.|

|Comments:||It's so cool that you have a Maori site. You have chosen some beautiful tunes and Prince Tui Teka is just awesome. He was an New Zealand Maori Icon -RIP Tui. We always play his music at our parties. The waiata (song) 'Mum' and 'For the life of me' are my favorite Tui tunes. I'm not sure of the chords and people seem to play it differently on the guitar at our parties!!! I'm just the under-dog.....lol and I love guitar parties..... I am over the moon that you are sharing these awesome Maori tunes to the world. I've always been a fan of your site and visit frequently.... i started playing guitar last week, nights getting longer and
all the way out here in the woods, and waiting for the mrs to have our baby (born yesterday!).
did a little searching for songs i knew i could sing along to
and loved, most of which (strange for a kid my age and lifestyle, i'll tell you) are oldies of a kind now rare and endangered. it was the Jarmel's "little bit of soap" that got me here,it's the lovely clean airs all over that will keep me coming back. thanks so much for doing what you do, i can't wait to learn more to sing for our new family out here.
|Comments:||Love your website! And your chords for Sandie Shaw's Girl Don't Come are spot on! The lyrics are a bit off, however. Forgive me for correcting: You have a date for half-past eight tonight; Some distant bell starts chiming nine... The time rolls on, those minutes fly by... You hurt inside, you wanna die, oh... And so on. But I have to thank you, because with your chords, we have worked this beautiful song into our band's repertoire (I sing in a lower key, but it is still simply a beautiful song). Love the dogs' photos. I have a bearded collie, Maggie (my precious companion!). Thanks for everything! :o)|

Thanks Betty! Really appreciate all your help!
|Comments:||I have been coming to your site for years and because of it I think I have become a better quitar player. You provide an invaluable service for those of us that can't pick apart a song and find the chords that go with it. My music books are filled primarily from your website. I like the way the songs and chords are in large print and easy to read. Very nice when it gets a little dark at the campfire. I hope to someday see the song 'Burning Bridges' from the 1970 movie 'Kelly's Heroes' on here. Keep up the great work!!!|

|Comments:||I have been enjoying this site so much over the past couple of weeks. My 8 year old son has been taking guitar, so I've wanted to find him songs he can play. It's given me a push to practice also, so that I can show him what to do. I'm terribly rusty, but now I'm playing for an hour or more nearly every night. I've been loving your collection and taste, and playing Slade, Roxy Music, The Stones, The Clash, John Denver, Johnny Cash, and so many fabulous others. Thanks very much for putting this site together and maintaining it for all of us. You're a really fabulous dog.|

|Comments:||Incedible site. Found it looking for lyrics, chords to 'The Village of St. Bernadette' by Andy Williams. Tried before, but no luck. Your layout and chords are great. Made copies for my guitar group, they loved it.
A group of my cronies, about fifteen of us get together once a week and play for a couple of hours. Then we go to seniors homes, hospital, etc. to have sing alongs for the people there.
We have accumulated a large number of songs ourselves, but this site will allow us to do more. Couldn't believe you had 'Gesthemame'(sp.?) from J.S. Superstar. About 35 years ago when that album came out I tried writing the lyrics by hand. Would love to know who puts the lyrics and chords down and how they go about it. Would love a page on how to put chords to songs you hear on the radio.
Love this site, love it, love it, love it. Keep up the good work! Also, thanks so much for the 'How to Play Blues Pages'. We are all past 60 so like thinks that are simply put.
Sandra from Canada.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for your site. I am coming up 60 and have played around with guitar for 40 odd years and never got anywhere. I found your site whilst looking for the chords to Frankie Miller's Darlin' about 3 years ago. Now I'm asked to bring my guitar to parties! Superstar I'll never be but thanks to your site I'm really enjoying playing and singing for friends.
Keep up the great work,
|Comments:||Well, this is my greatest guitar internet site ever! I'm 60 and recently taken up acoustic guitar again, and and brought myself an old VW camper. As my wife and I have been travelling around and playing my guitar to myself, people have come up and asked me to play round their campfire. I was totally lost for material sing-a-long stuff, and evening finished as soon as it started really!! BUT NO MORE, thanks to your site, I have everything I need representing my age group too!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, for your site and the way you have laid out the music, especially repeating the chords over all the verses - this makes life very easy when playing. THNAK YOU! Best regards to you Paul|

Wonderful site! Very indebted to you for showing me how to play songs with such easy chords. I had no formal training in Guitars. When I started, I could not even tune a guitar!
With your superb website, I am a happy fella - supplying my 'horrible' vocals to the chords you have to a mountain of tunes. Most sites give "too-advanced" chords for starters like me, that will break the finger bones on my left hand.
Will be great if you could please whack in some fabulous Lionel Richie / Commodores tunes ..
Thank you, Betty.
|Comments:||This is the freakin´ BEST guitarchord site on the internet and i´ve been lookin´ for a long time. I am a great fan to play "simple" songs with a few chords. The songlist you´re offering is amazing. If there´s any need : i would like to help to correct some songs and put in some new. Keep growin´, i love your site!|
|Comments:||Thank you for your wonderful site. Such an ecclectic mix of songs -- Gilbert & Sullivan, The Sound of Music, Tom Lehrer, the collection of random 'oldies'. It's all so wonderful. Your site is wonderfully unique due to the content provided and the way the songs are presented.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for hours of fun.
|Comments:||Thank you so much Betty Lou. You can have no idea how much this site and all your efforts have changed my life.............I cannot believe the ever growing compendium of fabulous guitar works you are compiling here. I beseech you to continue and again, many many thanks...........M|
|Comments:||I've been compiling my own collection of tabs for years now and yours is the best site I've found so far. Everything in the same format and chords simplified for many of the songs. I've thrown out several of the more difficult tabs I had and replaced them with your chording. Much easier. So helpful. Thanks muchly and believe me I do appreciate all the hard work it takes to make all these tabs. Rock on people!|

I play and sing free-lance for the residents of Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged. Emphasis on the "Free". However there is no price on a toothless smile. Your music gives me great material to earn smiles with. It just makes my day!|

|Comments:||Dear Betty Lou
I am a fan of your guitar chord site since 2002. This is the best guitar site I have ever seen.I highly appreciate you huge effort in maintaining and updating the site. Infact I have given the URL of his site to many of my friends. Keep it up.
Could you please start a section for the American Jazz-Rock band CHICAGO.
The band which was formed in 1967 is still very much alive despite few personnel changes. The sang classic songs such as If you leave me now, Hard to say Sorry, You're the Inspiration, Lookaway, Baby What a Big Surprise etc.

|Comments:||Thank you Betty. I have been playing guitar since 1967. Probably most people today do not know the struggle we had to go through in those days, inorder to have access to these kind of chords, specially in my part of the world. For this I thank you once again for your lovely website specially for its wide range of choice.|
