| Comments: | I have been traveling for so long that I basically forgot about where it all started. That sleepy town of Longmont and my somewhat introverted time in high school that I barely graduated from.
I saw this website and then I realized that this has been, already, twenty-one years ago. I hope everyone is doing well and I learned from time to time about the ones we lost. We have lost so many friends. I was particularily moved to see that Bobbie Sue (Carpenter)Lucia was on the "in memory" list. I do not know how this happened and never heard about it. She was a wonderful person with a kind word and great compassion. I heard about what had happened to other members of the class of 82' and 83', but I was not living in Colorado during those times. On my last visit back I heard about Kara, although I did not know her well, that was also very sad news for me. I have lived in several states and I reside now in the desert southwest. I am still involved deeply in my music and writing and have been to college for art and literature in the midwest. My time after high school was quite colorful and unorthodox to say the least, but I learned a great deal about life and experienced much. I have been married and divorced but have no children. I continue to live vicariously single and love life very much. I hope all of you alums are doing well and I consider the 82/83 classes "my two senior years", where I had met some of the most enjoyable personalities, and friends of my life. | Comments: | No, I am not a graduate of Longmont High School, but I am hoping this message will reach someone. My niece graduated from the school in 1985, Carmen Lynn Beall. Did you guys know that in 1949, the famous actor James Dean (1931-1955)(who was not famous as yet in 1949) appeared in the National Forensic League Speech Contest in your old high school--the old building they closed down in 1965. And he placed 6th in the competition there. I am a distant cousin of James Dean and am in the process of retracing his footsteps here in Colorado. How about that--he was once in Longmont! He was accompanied by his teacher, Adeline Nall, and the competition occurred April 29 and 30, 1949. He graduated from Fairmount High School (Indiana) in May of that year. The rest is history.

Patty (Chonis) Sears and I have decided that we had so much fun that we would like to put together a 25 year reunion. Our thoughts are that since we are doing it in 5 years that we would like to keep it as cheap as possible. (Its OK to spend a little more every 10 years).
