As a vet tech our practie had been treating this wonderful dog, who was in his thrid home since beign picked up as a stray with a mutitude of health problems. When his young owners were reduced to iving out of thier car, they asked if "the nurse" who made such a fuss over him would take him. I did..telling my husband "Look what followed me home!" I wish I had thought to take a picture of both their faces. "Titus" won our hearts in the 3 short years we had him. We took him from a very scrawny 150 lbs with mange, thyroid problems and ear ailments to a substantial 225. We miss him and his gentle sweetness to this day, after his passing from cancer. We are returning to the states in the summer, actually to Bucks Co.! It has occured to us that we might want to find another wonderful, huggable mastiff-slobber and all. Please keep us updated on your kennel, as we may be visiting some day!

I have researched Mastiff breeders local to me, and am surprised that the results of their OFA tests show merely "fair" results. I am also surprised that these local dogs are being bred at all, having seen that the OFA recommends against (or at least recommends caution for) breeding dogs with "fair" certifications. Our last dog, most likely a refugee from a puppy mill, was dysplastic, and it broke my heart to see him in so much pain for so much of his life. I am determined to give our next puppy absolutely the best chance possible for a healthy and happy life with us. I will definitely call for more information! I've had large dogs all my life (except for the occasional rescue dog)My big dogs have always been trained to accept any size animal. Rescue calls me from time to time since they know I always have space to "rent a room". They also know I end up keeping any dog brought to our home. I've had two mastiffs that lived to the age of 11 and 12 and I find they are my favorite dogs. Hopefully we can connect with one of your puppies, they seem to be just what I'm looking to adopt.

I live on the Central Coast of California, and I wouldn't qualify for your 100-mile radius co-ownership. But, I can assure you that if I got the Apricot girl, she would be trained/shown and if all fell into place, including the health clearances, only be bred to qualified champion studs. I just got the championship on my young male, CH Stony Point Rembrandt's Nightwatch, and he finished with a third major, a 5-pt. major, by going BOW over 15 males and 14 females. Diane Collings handled him almost exclusively for me, and the judge was Ms. Frandel Brown. (P.S. He is OFA excellent/hips; OFA normal/elbows.) He comes from all Beowulf breeding, and you couldn't ask for a better temperament in ANY dog. He thinks he's an overgrown Labrador Retriever. He loves to fetch his frisbees; gets along well with all of my Swissy males; loves everybody, man & beast. He always has his tail up in the show ring. Interested in a fawn male. We currently have a silly, happy yellow Lab, Captain, and Mia a Chihuahua who thinks she is in charge. Captain and Mia have a fun, happy life with us; they play together, sleep together, very good interaction. I am the "pack leader" and they both know it. Captain is very careful when he plays with Mia but would benefit from having someone on his true play level. I love animals and would have a farmette if I could but in the meantime we have a 1/2 acre one block from the river, Captain loves to swim. Lots of fields, water, walks, other dogs and dog lovers.
