Nat Sooy Wednesday, May 2nd 2012 - 02:50:55 AM befoldsgt@aol.com As the proud member of a two English Mastiff house hold I would like to say what amazing dogs you have.We have two fawns, female(Bouddica 9yrs)and my fellow boy in the house (Mickle, Norwegian for great and mighty is 4yrs). In years gone by I had Labradors, a wonderful breed but after a registered sex offender moved in two houses down I wanted a breed that was impressive and protective. When I lost my girl Lab we got our first Mastiff. Never in my life could I have imagined such a breed. The books and research did little justice to the gentle, loving noble giants.I am hooked for life. As my girl dog gets older I find myself thinking about the worse part of having any dog, they don't live long enough. My research brought me to you. We live in NJ and I hope that someday we can visit you and see your family in person.Thank you for your time and once again allow me to compliment you on your family of Mastiffs. Kind Regards, Nat Sooy

Don Friday, May 2nd 2008 - 07:49:50 AM greyburd@mac.com http://web.mac.com/greyburd I was happy to stumble across your videos on YouTube. I've been researching Mastiffs, with the hopes of getting one in the coming months. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a breeder in my area that I felt comfortable with. I found a breeder in Colorado, but still hoped to find one a little closer. And that is you. I'm in Phoenixville, PA..... just a little over an hour away. I'm very interested in hearing about any upcoming breedings. I'm hoping to get a show quality male, either fawn or apricot. But, I wouldn't turn down a good looking apricot brindle. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. ~don

Debbie Johnson Sunday, October 7th 2007 - 01:34:45 PM debbeadswithlove@yahoo.com Hello, I love your videos. We have our second mastiff who is 6y/o. Bulky, he is little though, at 140maybe. I someday would love a apricot brindle. I'd prefer a sweet,big-typey head, lots of jowl. We also have 2 pugs that are brothers one from the first litter and one from the last litter. they are 4 and 1 y/o. So it won't be for awhile, but I love the mastiff breed, and think we need to have one always. Our first one,"Burly" lived alittle over 5yrs, died with a rare form of connective tissue cancer. But Bulky is healthy so far, thank God. But never hurts to plan for the future, thank you, Deb Johnson

Kaylon Griffith Friday, August 24th 2007 - 03:31:12 PM griffika@comcast.net Hi! Just filled out a puppy application. I guess I am a little too long winded for the spaces and want to write some more! We are definitely looking for a companion for Jake that is larger than he is.(Plus we like big dogs with that wonderfully soft and wrinkly face...) He is so gentle but a BIG bulldog and scares the daylights out of most dogs despite him laying down for them. His best pals now are 2 pugs that hang off each side of his mouth. He LOVES other dogs and plays and sleeps with those not intimidated by him. His best friend (Rosie the Boxer) died this past year. The adult members of the family are also at a place where we can absorb that second dog we've wanted for a long time. In our research - we checked out Dogue de Bordeaux's and actually visited a family of them twice. We feel the English Mastiff's demeanor is a better fit for us all. We picked your site because you seem to care who your animals go to. The puppy application is great and I hope we speak soon. Thank you, Kaylon

Fort Dodge recalled RabVac 3 TF serial number 873113A rabies vaccine May 25, 2006 after a vaccinated dog contracted rabies (The Charlotte Observer http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/business/14786163.htm; http://www.dogsadversereactions.com/RabvacRecall.html). This batch of vaccine "was released into the veterinary market in November 2004 and expires June 29, 2006." Concerned owners can call Fort Dodge at 800-533-8536. Wyoming's State Vet Lab posted the recall letter at http://wyovet.uwyo.edu/Diseases_2006.asp. For a copy of Aubert's 1992 French challenge study demonstrating dogs to be immune to a rabies challenge 5 years after vaccination or Vascellari's study documenting fibrosarcomas in dogs at presumed rabies vaccine injection sites, e-mail me at ledgespring@lincoln.midcoast.com . PERMISSION GRANTED TO POST AND CROSS-POST THIS MESSAGE Kris L. Christine Founder, Co-Trustee The Rabies Challenge Fund www.RabiesChallengeFund.org Two world-renowned giants of veterinary vaccine research -- Dr. W. Jean Dodds of Hemopet and Co-Trustee of The Rabies Challenge Fund www.RabiesChallengeFund.org and Dr. Ronald Schultz of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine -- have volunteered their time to ensure that critical 5 and 7 year rabies challenge studies are conducted in the United States. The studies will be financed by The Rabies Challenge Fund Charitable Trust, a tax-exemption organization founded by Maine pet vaccine disclosure advocate Kris L. Christine in 2005, and will be performed by Dr. Schultz. The University of Wisconsin has waived its 48% overhead fee for the studies. The concurrent challenge studies will determine the duration of immunity conveyed by the canine rabies vaccine, with the goal of extending the state-mandated interval for boosters to 5, and then to 7 years. According to Dr. Dodds, “This is one of the most important projects in veterinary medicine. It will benefit all dogs by providing evidence that protection from rabies vaccination lasts at least 5 years, thereby avoiding unnecessary revaccination with its attendant risk of debilitating adverse reactions. " Scientific data indicate that vaccinating dogs against rabies every three years, as most states require, is unnecessary. Studies have shown the duration of protective immunity as measured by serum antibody titers against rabies virus to persist for seven years post-vaccination, and results of a 1992 French challenge study led by Michel Aubert demonstrated dogs were immune to rabies five years after vaccination. Researchers believe the rabies vaccine causes the most and worst adverse reactions in animals and concur that it should not be given more often than necessary to maintain immunity. Adverse reactions to rabies vaccination can include autoimmune diseases affecting the thyroid, joints, blood, eyes, skin, kidney, liver, bowel and central nervous system; anaphylactic shock; aggression; seizures; epilepsy; and fibrosarcomas at injection sites. Dr. Schultz states “[s]howing that a vaccine for rabies can provide 5 or preferably 7 years of immunity would have great significance not only in controlling rabies but more importantly in reducing the adverse vaccine reactions that can occur in dogs and cats after vaccination." Information on The Rabies Challenge Fund can be found at: www.RabiesChallengeFund.org . I wish that all breeders were as resposible as you seem to be and were in it for the progression/betterment of the breed instead of trying to make buck off of these wonderful dogs. I wish you and you big babies all the luck and happiness you deserve. p.s. I found your site on youtube.

Mike Nagle Wednesday, October 11th 2006 - 05:46:16 PM ufg8rz1@aol.com Absolutely loved your babies. I currently own only two mastiffs, but they are a handful- you have my respect and best wishes. They are without a doubt the most loveable dogs I have ever owned and I dread the day I have to say good-bye. I would be interested if you could keep me updated on future breedings... Who knows when another mastiff will enter my life.. Once again- a beautiful website along with beautiful mastiffs. Mike Nagle
