My hubby Stan and I have been full time rvers since 1988. Spend our winter in TX and summers in Denver and Detroit where our sons live. Would love to hear from anyone who knows me. I am in contact w/several of my classmates who do not have e-mail. We have 3 sons, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. What a joy these children are. I retired from 34 years of teaching in 1987. |

| Comments: | I attended grade school at Minerva continuing on to BHS; however,beginning 1959, I moved with my parents to Minneapolis and attended West High School, MPLS through graduation in 1962. Graduated from Northwestern in 1966 & attended the U of M.
All of my career years were spent in Mpls & Washington, DC beginning as a High School English teacher & in 1973 joined the DC Metropolitan Police Dept.; retired in 1996 & was hired by the DCHousing Authority Police Dept. where I worked until 2001. After my husband's passing in 2004, I made plans to move back to Minerva to be near 'family'. My son Jon (31 yrs.)lives in MS. Guess no one forgets their 'first' school years and all the friends made in the Minerva/Bagley area. I'd like to 'bump into' you that I know but we may not readily recognize each other so could pass on the street without knowing!! What years can do! Although I can't 'officially' qualify as a BHS alumni, friends made and the good times enjoyed will always be a part of my heart. As of this entry, I'm trying to find out who to contact regarding the Class of 1962's get-together this week. |

I still live in our farm house in Sioux Falls, SD, but the city has grown up around us and we are no longer in the country! We have 2 children, Elizabeth and Eric. Elizabeth is on faculty at the University of South Dakota and Eric just joined the Army and is soon on his way to Officers' Training. (He joined late in life, after earning a degree in architecture and working in construction for many years. I don't know how he has managed to survive Basic Training at 41 years of age!)

I have been a widow for 20 years so have learned to fix a lot of things myself. My son, Russell, lives with me and is the light of my life. He is an artist, among other things. I also have a daughter,Laura, who is a nurse in Kingwood, Texas, almost in Houston. Russell and I have 2 cats and Laura has 2 large dogs who are my granddogs. She also has a son who lives in California with his wife, both going to school. We won't be at the reunion, Russell uses a wheelchair and it has become just too hard for us to travel, with just us. My Biographical Statement: "Preacher my education, teacher by profession, politician by avocation, itinerant businessman, currently pursuing my hobbies and essence." There is no way to acknowledge, or codify the debt I owe to those who enriched my life through my school years: Lois Bromaghin (2nd through 5th - District 3), Ted Welander (shop), Mrs. Evenson (History), Phillip Stoltenberg (History), Pastor Phillip Quanbeck, Paul Tangjerd (4-H leader) and my neighbors - Sander Sletto, Fananda Foldoe, Bud & Tilly Woodward, and on and on. As my mother always said, "Home is where you can just be loved." So as I think about again sleeping in the house where I was born, I am also remembering the many acts of kindness and care which I have been blessed to receive.
