Thanks for coming down to Chatham Library earlier this week and giving us an insight into the complex world of Book Publishing. Your shop is most definately unique and appeals to the consumer in a much more 'human' touch than the traditional high street chains out there. I've just finished reading the Realm of Shells, which was a fascinating read for me - Fanny's father being my 3x great uncle. It was great to get another take on a family story, and I smiled each time I saw Fanny wanting to be called Frances, as she was registered at both her birth and marriage as Fanny! Now I just need to persuade my other half to take the trip down there to visit the shell grotto, and I can call in at the Sandwich bookshop, too ;) |

| Comments: | Thank goodness for Sandwich Bookshop. The service beats other major bookstores I could mention hands down. It is also a lovely space to visit. The stock is good and the staff friendly and helpful. Items I have ordered have often arrived within a day or two. There is an excellent children's section, with games etc. You can even buy tea and biscuits there after you've enjoyed your free cup of coffee. They also sell stationery and some CDs. I always look forward to going there. If only more towns had people-friendly bookstores like this one. |
