My son and I want to go to Gettysburg in 2013 with a reenactment group for the 150th anniversary of the battle. I participated in the 125th in 1988. I haven't done much since the movie, "Gettysburg". My gg granddaddy was with the 155th, Co. G; Sgt Daniel Imbody. Is the 155th planning on participating in the reenactment and are newcomers welcome. We would be able to supply all of our gear and would only ask for patterns to produce uniforms,
Sincerely, Mike Emett | |

I enjoy your site. nice job. My great-grandfather, William Clotworthy, fought with the 155th, Co. F, mustered in Aug 22nd 1862, one the the "Bayardstown Boys." He was shot in the buttocks at Marye's Heights (I still have the mini-ball). I have a copy of "Under the Maltese Cross" given to him by Charles McKenna, who included a nice letter on the inside cover. He also, rather curiously, inserted his name (the original cut and paste?)as the editor of the volume. I was wondering if this was a common occurance? Did he send a volume and letter to every member (or surviving relative) of the 155th? Any information on this or on my great-grandfather would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance, Scott G. Tunnell

Chris,
I attended the (re)redication of The 155th Pa. monument and was very impressed. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the job of restoring and preserving the monument that represents those who gave their all to preserve our nation. The whole ceremony was very moving, and it was an honor to be in the company of the descendants of some of the members of the regiment. You and all the other reenactors of the Regiment should be very proud of what you do. Regards, Bob Pender, Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Round Table
