I just love you book! I only hope to be half as creative as you are in your writing, you surely are gifted. I especially enjoyed reading "Grandpa's story" about Aunt Audie coming to visit...I had to call my dad and read it to him, it sure brought smiles! And the pictures, my gosh, I had never seen pics of her so young as when she married John Stuckey. The one of her and Bill brought back memories, it was taken on my 9th birthday, aroung the time they would come and pick me up for sunday school, take me to get an Easter basket, etc...and they always had that juicy fruit gum, I remember.
Thank you for the memories, I look forward to reading more!

Barbara, The site is so beautiful. I have been doing a family tree for Katie and was looking up some of Maw's family and was refered to your page. I am so glad. I had tried to email you so many times but you had changed you email address. I thought you might have moved to Texas to be near Stephanie. Just know I wish you love, happiness and peace. You will always be my friend and I know others that I am related to (who shall remain unnamed) have hurt you and used you. Please know it was not of my choice or making and I regret that it happened to you, you didn't deserve it. You have never been anything but a dear friend and cousin. Take care and be happy. You can email to me if you ever need me.

The story of the cotton picker carried me back to my childhood and picking cotton on the family farm. The whole family pitched in to plant, cultivate and harvest the cotton crop hoping to make enough to carry the family through from one year to the next. Wonderful memories came back of the hard work but joy of my family working together without complaint for the good of the family.

I will be back again I cant wait for more, you truly have a gift for writing as well as being a gift to your family. So much of my family story is lost. I remember all of the shows you spoke of from your childhood and playing with my imagination, what a concept sadly lost today. And you drank pop at Miss Kitty's! Wonderful tearful joyful and most of all loving. Take care

mom, i'm less adept at the internet these days than you are...funny! haha! so my past attempts to post a message in your dreambook failed. i want you to know how proud i am of you and how very special your stories are to everyone. my favorite part of this project has to be your new journal link...it is timeless and something that will be cherished for generations as i always cherished sitting at your feet listening to the same stories when i was a child. don't stop...as long as the telling brings you joy then tell...share...and continue to live the joy every day of your life.
all my love,
stephanie renee

Mom:)
I am so SO glad you are adding the stories and journal section to your website. Please keep it all safe and sound on your computer as well because you are right...these stories lifted my spirits as a child and left me always feeling more curious about and closer to my family. I wish both my grandmothers would have left behind such a gift as their memories and stories. Your grandchildren and great grandchildren...and then some (I'm sure) will see these as a goldmine for the heart. We will all cherish these for generations to come.

I love you! And...I am more than impressed with your tech skills! haha!:-D

http://www.digitalrailroad.net/ronedobbs Dear Ms. Rodgers, My name is Catherine Lockhart Dobbs. I am the non biological granddaughter of Wesley Otto Parrish of Corrigan, Texas. Although not blood related to Otto, he was my beloved Papaw.
Papaw and Nannie,(Addie Cloud) raised my mother, Irma Lee Lauter, daughter of Herman and Myrle Cloud Lauter and niece of Addie after Myrle died in 1935.
I remember the very nice Parrish sisters. I am sorry that I have no knowledge of a family bible or other family papers but I can identify a photo for you. The man with his chin resting on his hands is Otto. I have the large portrait of this photo. T portrait was taken by Park Jennings of Corrigan and hand painted by Aline Cloud, sister in law of Ottl, who worked for Mr Jennings. It is my most prized possesion.
It would be a pleasure to share memories and other information about Otto that may be of interest to you. I also have questions too.
My Papaw was a devoted grandfather and the finest man I have ever known. It was a priviledge to have Otto and Addie as my grandparents.
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for such a wonderful web site honoring my grandfathers family.
You can call me if you would like. My number is 985-630-4631. Cathy Dobbs
