You have been saying you are closed to all incoming horses then you take in more horses THEN you change your reading on your website to specifiy that you only are taking emergency rescues after you took in those Arabbers? I am troubled by the inconsistencies within which you seem to operate. Don't know if others even notice but you need to realize that there are a lot of people out there that continually visit your site and things don't add up. We humanely euthanize unwanted dogs and cats (albeit many could go to good homes if people would stop buying from puppy mills, neuter their pets, etc), so why aren't more people horrified at how horses in this country meet their fates? I am going to personally barrage my politicians, as well as the biggest breeders/owners in KY, NY & CA to do something more. Keep up the good work. My daughter and I share him, since her horse cannot be shown, and mine is away in training. This horse, whose prior life involved timber racing and hunting, is an awesome dressage prospect, and we didn't even know it when we got him. He's such a fun guy to ride, and he has loads of personality. To those who have never adopted or are afraid to adopt, please give it a try. We have had wonderful success with HorseNet. I have been looking at rescue sites all ove north america for a good thoroughbred or warmblood type for jumping and dressage but most of them have policies as to how far thier horses can go from the rescue centre. Too bad i live in alberta and practicly all we have is quarter horses! With the exception of spruce meadows. Anyways good job! |

Since , at one time, I was very much involved with horses of my own, it struck a chord in my heart that she and her husband were willing to take a chance with adoptees from your wonderful rescue group. After many talks about your efforts, she inspired me to investigate Horse Net. Because of her "Inspiration", I have since mailed in a $100 donation, and will soon be forwarding a sponsor sheet to assist your permanent residents on a monthly basis.
