| Comments: | Really nice stuff on this page. 3 of us just got back from the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and I was the only one with a Jack Youngblood signed jersy on. It's a real shame I couldn't talk anybody into going out there in 2001, but I was there in 2006, in Section 7, Row C, Seat 16, and when he was announced LAST (thanks to alphabetic order), I stood up, yelled, and took his picture anyway. I just wish I had a straight on shot instead of a parallel shot. I really hoped to get there on Friday for the autograph session, but we couldn't make it that fast. I travel to Florida a couple times a year, and my 20 yr old son is a BIG GATOR fan, and I would love the opportunity to meet "MY MAN", # 85, just to shake his hand and say Hi. Him and Freddy Dryer were, and still are, my favorite Rams, and I must admit, I love John Wayne and I really dig the fact that Jack has been called "the duke", or likened to him. Once again, thanks for this page -- it's been great fun to look at it and remember when.

You will always be my favorite sports player of all time!! I remember when my dad brought home your autograph picture from a Lompoc Valley Boys Club event in 73 or 74.. You went there with phil olsen. It said, Frank, Be a real champ...and I will always remember it as it was yesterday.. I also bought your book " BLOOD " on ebay. You are the true force that explains what a warrior is. you never took a single down off, you played with such a driving force and I hope our youth can see what you meant to the NFL. I only wish that VCR's were in everybody's house holds as much as today because I would have recorded every minute you played.. | Comments: | I have been a Jack Youngblood and Ram fan since I was 12 years old, Im 36 now. After waiting almost 25 years I finally got the chance to meet my hero. He appeared at a card show in Richmond, and it was well worth the wait. He was very friendly and made it seem like he knew you all his life. I had a full size helmet and a jersey autographed. I also had several photos taken with him, in which he said he was more than happy to do. The experience was awesome. In response to the lady with her son, they evidentlly didn't meet the super nice guy I met. |

I personally know Jack Youngblood and as for the woman who's kid wanted an autograph in Canton, I'm sorry you didn't get it but they had Jack as well as all the inductees very busy and on a tight schedule that whole weekend.Jack is a great man and he appreciates his fans more than any player i have ever met and I'm sure your letter would mean alot to him.I also was in Canton in Jack's VIP section but even though i know Jack i didn't even get the chance to talk to him and hang out for a min. they had him going from place to place and all he could do is point our crew out of the crowd and give us the hi sign to let us know he knew we were there and appreciated it.I'm sorry about your son but the induction weekend is about Jacks achievement and it is mainly a time for him to celebrate with his family and close friends.He is a great man and i hope you don't hold this one time event against him. |

I did not go to the hall interductions, But I had friends that did and they have A different story to tell about how Jack was always around signing peoples things. What did you try and get the jersey signed while he was on the toilet? If you don't beleive me go to ebay and talk to some of the people who are selling Jack Youngblood signed cards, Nearly all of them had them signed in Canton, OH.
My Uncle spoke to Jack's Office Manager about getting Jack to send something to his Father on his 85 Birthday she said she would give the message to Jack and put my Uncle on hold, A few moments later Jack comes on the line and says "you got it chief". Jack sent my grandfather A Fax. for his 85 Birthday and wrote it like he knew him, The same day my Uncle spoke to him. That made my grandfather very happy since he loved Jack for the great times he gave to him and his famly. He would'nt have cared if Jack decide not to send the Fax. but jack was immortalized in the Lewis house when he did. |

I'm a mother of one of your fans who wanted a autograph last Sunday in Canton and the only reason he flew up there was because you were getting your introduction in the Hall Of Fame and he always felt you should have gotten it along time ago. He came up to you to ask you to sign his #85 shirt, he has had for years but you said I DON'T HAVE TIME. Your sister-in-law met him a few years ago and said you would but I guess after sunday and you finally got your introduction the fans don't mean anything. This son of mine who is a man and shouldn't care but he does and me as a mother is very upset. He has a younger brother who also like you because of the way his older brother talked but now he said Well i can't write what he said but you probably sometime felt this way. One time at halftime when they were still in L.A. We worked our way to the opening to the locker rooms. My wife started sceaming for Jack and he flirted with her and i was very jealous, but what was i gonna do, my favorite player was firting with my wife.
