Comments:I like your web site. I've been playing harmonica for about 20 years, but mostly straight harp (in a rack) with my guitar. But as my facial hair gets longer, the more I hate playing harp in the rack. Ever see a dog hit the end of his chain? Getting some whiskers caught in the rack, and ripped up by the roots is not for the squemish. It's funny, the note you are after is always just a little further away than your whiskers are long. Brings tears to my eyes! I've been playing cross harp without the guitar and rack and it's liberating! I love it! thanks, Matt

Comments:Great site. I will turn 50 this year. I played bass guitar in a rock and blues band when I was in my 20's. Than came marraige and kids and my "day job" took me away from playing!! Now that the kids are grown (almost) I have taken up blues harp. Been playin' for about I year. This site has helped me a lot...it has explained things that I kind of knew bud really didn't understand before. Now I have the confidence to jam with other people understanding which key of harp to use etc. Keep up the good work....Dave from Southern Calif.

Comments:Just stumbled into this site. So far it's fun. Just started playing harp about 1 year ago here in San Diego Area. I used to play bass guitar in a rock/ blues band 20 years ago (I'll be 50 soon) but got married, had kids, and..etc.We had a good harp player in our band. Now I've decided to play harp and am enjoying it much since I can take it with me and practice during breaks at work. Keep up the good work!

Comments:Hi, Mark! Cool page! I've been playing nearly 5 yrs now and always enjoy finding resources such as this. I play blues on the diatonic with Fuzzy Whitener, a blues guitarist from here in Texas. You can hear a very short snippet of my amplified playing on cdbaby.com -Just click on Texas Blues then Fuzzy's new cd "Off the Chain" I'm on the tune "Down In The Can" Will have a closer look at your site as time allows! Oh, I had the good fortune last nite of attending a workshop (with concert following) featuring Peter "Madcat" Ruth. It was put on by the Dallas chapter of H.O.O.T. (Harmonica Org. of Texas)- Anyone who has seen/heard Madcat perform will understand my enthusiasm! If you have a chance, to catch him you will NOT be disappointed! Keep Chuggin'!

Comments:I've been playing harp privately for many years and have "hit the wall" many times and quit. But then I keep comin back again and loving it. I have to meet people to play with and learn from so I can go further. I once tried the Chromatic and liked it, but had problems with the instrument and felt more at home with the diatonic, especially with the feel of bending and trying to learn the blues. I have a lot of blown harps in the drawer and want to learn how to fix them. Any Harp players in Westchester County, just North of NYC? Or in Manhattan (I can meet after work)?

Got the chance to see him live and has changed my whole outlook-re: harp!! It has been an amazement to me how such a simple contraption can reveal such vast expression in the hands of a master player-and there`s a LOT of great players out there. Wail on!
