Doug Sellers Monday, June 8th 2009 - 03:23:49 PM ddsellers@hotmail.com I love Belmont! My great grandmother owned the Cosmopolitan and I have made several trips to visit. I remember the old place still standing and walking into it. Rose Walters used to live in your place and she was a friend of the family, she use to work for my Great grandma Atwell. Love to hear from others that knew these people.

Mary Jean Kelso Saturday, January 6th 2007 - 10:50:21 AM mjkel@aol.com http://hometown.aol.com/mjkel/myhomepage/index.html I am a correspondent for The Lahontan Valley News which had a great article on your Inn in today's paper (Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007). If you aren't aware of it you might want to look it up. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! As a Nevada historian I have always been interested in the ghost towns such as Belmont, etc., and have written extensively about the areas both in fiction and non-fiction. Please let me know if you have a gift shop where you might be interested in stocking some of the books I have written. Robert Davis Jr. Sunday, August 13th 2006 - 10:48:08 AM rf_davis@myway.com Just wanted to let the Bergs know that my father Robert Davis Sr. passed away suddenly on July 20th 2006. He had just visited Belmont on July 7th and enjoyed his visit with you very much. I was just looking at a book about Belmont by Alan H. Patera whom my Dad met at the Inn on his last trip. Looking at it made me wish I was in Belmont now. My family history goes back pretty far in the Tonopah area. Some of my oldest memories are stopping at the Courthouse Building on our way out to Pine Creek for fishing when we were kids. And having a drink out of my grandfathers Desert water bag. The family reunion we had at the Inn three years will live on in our memories forever, it was wonderful. We'll do that again. My Dad had written a long story about our reunion there. I thought it was on this guestbook but I don't see it anymore. Anyhow I am glad that my Dad had the chance to visit Belmont, a place he loved, one last time. Robert Davis Jr. Lockeford California

Tedd and Lila Johnson Wednesday, April 27th 2005 - 08:45:54 PM tljohnson@nebnet.net Henry and Birdie, Thank You so very much for the wonderful time we spent with you in September. Our son was married at the Belmont church and it was a beautiful place for a wedding. The stage coach took the bride and groom up to the church and back to the Inn for a spectaular reception complete with Birdie's fantastic dinner. She is a fantastic cook. And then we enjoyed a great evening of music and drink at Henry's bar. Everyone said it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Such fun and so relaxing. The countryside is beautiful and the local people make everyone welcome and comfortable. My favorite place is sitting on the wonderful wrap around porch and just enjoying the atmosphere and people. Thank you again for such a great time!!! We will certainly be visiting again. Sincerely,Tedd and Lila
