| Comments: | I have written a novel called " Dear Joseph;" it is a painful, thought provoking, challenging joyful book.
Dear Joseph, is about a child coming of age, of dealing with the death of his mother and trying to keep his family together in the Depression of the 1930’s. Joseph is a caterpillar in a sense, a hard shell of hatred fashion by the hands of society as he approaches adulthood. But he is sewed the most perfect wings when he meets his wife Claudette and they create a life together. Dear Joseph is about Caregivers, individuals that are assigned to restore the broken frames of fallen lives. The Caregiver Mama Flo, in the book is given the assignment of getting a bitter old man out of a wheel chair. Mama Flo must motivate a fallen hero back to his place of compassion and purpose. Joseph struggles with the reality that he has been given visions. These visions are prophetic lessons that take him back into time and hurl him forward into the future. The visions takes him to the orphanage where he was placed in as a child. It is for him to remember the lessons of that power of endurance. The visions takes him to the festering African plains of an refuge camp where he learns the most important gift of being grateful for the next day. |
