| Comments: | My name is Alfred Emmanuel Bresnahan Jr. I live just outside of Orlando, Fl. USA My father had some genealogy done. I will have to revisit my parents condominium, in Highland Beach, Fl., to read the document. I believe I remember it to claim our Origin as either Kerry, or Cork. Either one would be fine for me, as after just visiting Ireland, for the first time, (on tour with Dolly Parton)I had a most wonderful time. I intend to return, with my wife, on my own time, to truly enjoy, and absorb , all I can of Ireland. Anyway, I'll keep you posted |

There is about 150 of us altogether in the UK (Mainly Stockport) and no idea in Ireland... | Comments: | I was going to try to let you know all of Dad's Brother and Sisters but I better wait till I talk to Dad, around Thanksgiving. Mom & Dad are both 87 Years young. I do know Dads Father name was William(also my middle name) Edward Bresnahan.Was born 11/29/1877, died 6/5/1935.William married Cecelia 9-2-1905. She was born about 1888 and passed 1980.(Cecelia maiden name was Flanagan) William's Father was Thomas and born in Ireland about 1840 Died 1907. (Not real good info).Thomas's Mother was Alice. No other info for her.Thomas's wife was Margret also from Ireland. Born about 1843,passed 7-26-1893 I don't have any more info on her. Newspaper back then just called her as Mrs Bresnahan. Thomas and Margret, moved to Lafayette In. from NY about 1865. I also know that we are related to Philips, Mahonney and I think my Grand Mother Cecelia's Mother was Nora Danford. I also know that Thomas and Margret's Son Thomas F passed away 1885, 19 years old and born in NY. I think they had 6 Boy's and 2 Girls. I think I am close to accurate as I can at this time. A very good friend went to Ireland. They went to Dublin and found some info and the oldest Family Crest from the 1300's and a whole lot of different ways of spelling our name. We have the birth dates as follows- Peter- 1831, Joseph 1833, Sarah- 1835, Mary- 1837, Elizabeth-1839, John- 1842, Margaret - 1844, James - 1846, Frances- 1848. we have also received info from another person with different birth dates - but some cannot be right as 2 of the dates put the children at 3 months apert.
