All I have is pics now and I will forward some to you. He let us know this week that it is ready for us to bring home. All I need for completion is top fabric, glass, and interior. Wait unitl you see the interior! Can't give away any hints just now. Till later, Julian in Oklahoma City

That kind of cars are a great help for family fun, but they are not half as flamboyant as your late 40's ones, the period being my favorite. Keep'em rolling!!

Chris Flentke Sunday, August 26th 2007 - 09:25:01 PM chris_flentke@sbcglobal.net Man glad I stumbled on your site.(saw your boat on ebay)Love your Chevelle!I had a 1967SS 396/350hp 4speed/positrac that was a legend around my town just out of St.louis,Mo.I bought for $700.00 in 1974 from a guy I knew.It was one of those cars that was just put together right at the factory. The guys dad was the parts manger at a big Chevy dealer. The car had a Crane SS 310 solid lifter cam and nothing else. That car never lost a raceto any440.383/340 Mopar or Boss 302.428/429 Ford. There were plenty of Mopars and Fords as both have plants there(Ford is closed now)plus the original Corvette Factory and a GM.It had 4.11 gears,a Holley 780cfm single feed carb, cast iron intake, tach on the left side of the dash. Why that car ran like it did who knows but it was a true legend in my hometown of Manchester,Mo.Sure there were heavily modified cars that could stomp it,but no stock or camed only car could touch it.Never even had headers.Alass as many did I sold the car befor muscel cars were worth anything.Your Chevelle is worth every enny of what you want. By the way I went on to work for Chrysler at the manufactring plant as did my dad. This was from 1977 on.I owned a few Mopar Challengers but always raced Chevrolets.I am 51 and own a 1968 Nova powered by a Rhere Morrison 588bb dynoed at 911hp on the motor. It runs 8.6's@156-157 all day long.Well I,ve said enogh, great site.Maybe next time I will tell the story of the 1968 375hp Dick Harrel Nova I owned and sold to three teen agers in Indiana. That too was befor they were worth what they are, that one still makes me sick to think about.Chris

Shani and I go to Revival and went to a couple Bible studies at your house a few years back. Shani and I were at the Santa Barbara meet and hoped to see you and Jan there. We were up there showing my newest model of bicycle to bicycle dealers and since it is a bike with a surfboard shaped top tube made to look like a woodie longboard the woodie event fit perfectly! Anyway, we had a blast and got alot of good pictures! God bless and hope to see you soon. Lonnie and Shani. www.surfcycle.us

Bill Gerrard Monday, June 11th 2007 - 09:20:17 PM http://gallery.primarycolors.com/woodies Love the bonneville shots! We were driving from Salt Lake to Wendover last year (August 2006) during Speedweek (we didn't actually know it was speedweek) and got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere... After changing the tire, ee pulled into Wendover at sunset and discovered it was speedweek due to all the cool cars covered with snow white salt. I'm going to try to get out there this year... Your shots inspire me!

KEVIN WILLIAMS Sunday, March 18th 2007 - 09:54:34 PM KTWILLIAMS58@VERIZON.NET I ran into your site from the Hemmings Motor News. I go there to dream as you dreamed of owning a Chevelle. Oh how I long for the days of old when as a 17 year old kid I owned a '66 SS 396 Chevelle. It was 1975 and I fell in love with her the first time I laid eyes on her. I pleaded with the owner to sell her to me and obviously not knowing what he had he relented. She was no show peice but she was mine! I shined her up and made her look good (at least from the freeway!) and cruised main street every Friday and Saturday until I graduated from high school and had to get a j-o-b. Thinking that I had to grow up I put away childish things, as they say, and the heat I was getting from my father for storing it in his backyard I ended up selling it. SACRILEGE! I've spent the past 30 years regreting that decision. My only hope is to one day have the time and the resources to have a '66 back in my very own garage. It is said that if you write a goal down and put it in a drawer and never look at it again 85% of the time it will come to pass. I thought of my "66 every day since I sold her and I will one day own another! Thanks for all the great photos of what is obviously a passion of yours! Great photography too! Kevin, Oxnard CA.
