Approximately when in the episode is the Barbara Alyn Woods
scene in Honey I Shrunk the Kids this weekend?

I ask because I (and I'm sure many others who use this
page) will be traveling for Christmas and would like to
record other stuff this weekend and not waste half a tape
just to get Barbara's scene.

Thanks to whoever gave the alert about today's "Days of our
Lives" scene. I'm sure most of us would have missed it
otherwise.

Today's scene was great for cleave-gag fans,
with some good close-ups, but I thought that was really
loose ropes around her wrists on the chair. Also, did you
notice the screwed up continuity at the end? She was
cutting herself loose and the bandana was for some reason
out of her mouth, then she breaks free, they cut back, and
the bandana is back in her mouth. But I'm not complaining.
Keep 'em coming "Days of our Lives."

Some of you do a great job of keeping track of the soap
operas. I was wondering if anyone can list the major B&G
soap opera scenes from this year. I'm curious as to which
soaps did well for us this year and which didn't. The B&G
scenes I can recall were on "Sunset Beach," "Days of our
Lives," "One Life to Live," and "Another World."

Nite Owl - Many thanks for the alert a few days back
for In Dreams. Not a bad little scene at all.
There were some nice close-ups too. I don't consider
Annette the babe of the century or anyting, but ever since
The Grifters, I have wanted to see her B&G. I
didn't even know she had gotten the treatment until your
post. Incidently, In Dreams is on again tonight at
8pm on HBO.

A Fan - Great alert for Days of Our Lives. I
think somebody above was quite right. If not for "soap
hounds" like you, most of us would never get these scenes
on tape. There are too many of these damn things to burn
out my VCR taping them every day. The only time I tape
them is when a stud like yourself is kind enough to alert
us. Great catch!

H - A big thanks for the immediate Dayscaps.
I did tape the scene today, but haven't had a chance to
look at it yet (too much shopping). Your efforts are
greatly appreciated my friend.

Merry X-Mas everybody.

Re: Cyndi Preston

Ken, I'm not completely sure but the first vidcap on the
question of her being gagged I think is from an episode she
did on the "Friday the 13th" series. She wasn't gagged in
the episode but was blindfolded. I'm sorry I couldn't be of
more help. As soon as I find a good episode guide on the
series I'll repost with details.

RE: Cyndy Preston

That cap is from my VCR alerts page. I posted a description
of what happens to Cyndy on Brian's VCR alerts page. This
is from the Friday the 13th episode "The Charnel Pit".
Cyndy is a college gal in a class about the Marquis De
Sade. She goes back to her professor's place because she is
is curious to learn more. Her professor blindfolds her then
pushes her thru a double-sided painting which is a portal
back in time to the Marquis De Sade. The Marquis removes
her blindfold. There is a shot from behind of Cyndy in
chains then a front shot as the Marquis removes her chains.
No gag. Her character unfortunately is not saved (though
Robey and another college lass are saved).

HI everyone, I thought I would throw in my two cents worth. I always thorught that the DiD treatment of Delores Taylor, of the movie Billy Jack was a good scene. Tied to stakes naked and cleave gagged with a blue bandanna, you could imagine a young boy probably 13 the first time i saw it. Let a lasting impression. Also, its my opinion that Shari J Wilson has become the Teri Hatcher of the latter 90`s. Thanks

Hey. I thought, as opposed to everybody else, that the Angel
scene sucked.
Why? The gag was the lamest I have seen in a long time, with
Carisma struggling NOT to make a sound (a la Linda
Carter/Terry Hatcher). If you're gonna do it, do it right!!

Has anyone ever scene the movie "Invation of Privacy" , with
Namoi Campbel and Mili Avital in which Naomi is B&G to a
gurney, legs spread, with a strange plastic gag? Pretty bad,
but it's Naomi, man!

Mick, Nothing wrong with you having a different opinion on the Charisma scene, but I really did like it.

Does bondage help ratings? Hard to say. Last week's "Angel," ranked 96 among all shows, 8 places higher than it did the previous week. It's lead-in, "Buffy," was number 93 among all shows, 4 places higher than the week before. In it's time slot "Angel" ranked fifth out of the six network shows aired. Let's put it this way. Bondage definitely didn't seem to hurt it any.

Man, what a sweet scene with Hope on DOOL the other day! I
think that some of these people are starting to catch on to
our kind of tastes. Sure, the bondage might have made
sense to the plot, but I thought the lingering closeups of
her boots as she untied her legs (with some difficulty, no
less) were thoroughly gratuitious. They could have cut out
enough of her time to show at least one more commercial, so
we should be grateful. What I can't believe is that they
still use that old "break a glass object and cut the ropes
with a shard" bit. Heather Locklear played out the same
scene, including accidently cutting herself last year on
Melrose Place. I could probably think of dozens more, and
they all have that little pause where the girl stares at
the bottle and you can hear the gears turning in her head.
(What would Heather do?)

Someone brought up the most
productive soap opera of '99. That has to be Sunset
Beach. I swear one of us is working on that show. They
had the great 4-day Sarah Buxton scene, which I thought
should get extra creativity points because it wasn't based
in danger but in humiliation and revenge. There was just
something extra sweet about that one. And with last week's
bondagefest (unfortunately with putzes), it seems that
they're just giving the writers free reign since the show
will be gone soon. I can't help but wonder what the last
episodes will be like.

Glad to see we're up again. This weekend, the blond hottie
from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World(or The Jungle
Babe show for short) finally found a way to get tied up in
the ancient storyline, but it was LAME. She had her arms
tied behind her back, but there weren't that many shots of
it, and no drama.

Record number: 1330

Title: Start the Revolution Without Me (1970)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Helen Fraser
Description: In a sequence played strictly for laughs, she plays a Gypsy woman shown chained spreadeagled to a wheel in a dungeon and rotated. Some shots even show her chained bare ankles as they rotate by.

Record number: 1578

Title: Start the Revolution Without Me
Medium: Movie
Actress: Mary Astor
Description: The opening credits include scenes from the old silent film, "Don Juan" where Mary Astor is tied to a wheel-rack.

It's nice one or more of you have taken it upon youselves to add nearly a hundred entries to the database in the last couple of days. However, I wish I could say the above was the only such instance of you-know-what. There are at least a couple more; the titles escape me at the moment.

Seriously, anyone so serious about contributing should e-mail Brian R for edit access so he could modify existing entries in cases like this. That's what that capability is for. Come on, what's the problem?

On a lighter note...well, actually, a much sadder one, in
fact, I'm sure many of you have heard by now that Clayton
Moore, who, of course, played the Lone Ranger on television
and at shopping-mall openings and the like from the '50s on,
died today.

I was just wondering...how many episodes of this show
contained anything of interest? The only thing in the
database-one of the recent entries I referred to above, by
the way; thanks again to whomever's throwing them
in-describes someone named Lois Hall putz-tied with Tonto
(ugh!). Surely there was something better than this! I
have to admit I didn't watch this show much growing up,

Re: The Lost World

That's the fetching Jennifer O'Dell. She's had a couple of minor tie-ups so far. DirecTV airs the "Lost World" episodes on Pay Per View about 2 months before they turn up in syndication. In about a month or so there should be an episode where she is briefly tied to a chair (hands behind) with a couple of putzes. And of your a pillory fan keep an eye out for the episode entitled "Camelot", Jennifer is briefly locked in a pillory in that episode. The scene is about a minute and a half long.

The vidcaps for the "Camelot" pillory scene are on my page.

The brunette on the show also has a minor hands in front scene in an upcoming episode.

Now would be a real good time to assemble a list of bondage scenes in music videos. Here's why!

MTV 2, the all music sister station of MTV, will air EVERY SINGLE VIDEO ever played on both MTV and MTV 2. That's a total of nearly 19,000 videos.

The videos will air in alphabetical order by song title beginning at 12:01AM Eastern time on January 1, 2000. Starting with "A Beautiful Day" by 3 Colours Red and ending 3 months later with "Zoot Suit Riot" by Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

I know there have been quite a few videos mentioned on this page in the past. Now would be a good time to post those titles again.

Speaking of all the new entries in the database, here's one that needs fixin:

Record Number: 1447
Title: Angeles
Actress: Daisy Fuentes
Description: Kidnapped by stalkers, Ms. Fuentes is tied to a chair and gagged with a thick white cloth.

Actually she's gagged with duct tape.

MTV:

Supposedly 100 Miles and Runnin' by NWA has a scene. I
have seen the video, but don't exactly remember it, but
someone else mentioned it. Not sure how that plays out
alphabetically (sometimes numbers come before letters, but
it appears that they are starting with A), but it may be h?

Gagged gal: The Belinda Carlisle's video had a couple
things of note. The first was where she says, "can't walk,
can't talk". On the words "walk" and "talk", it showed
closeups of a woman's feet tied and mouth gagged,
respectively. Each clip is less than half a second; I
couldn't tell if it was Belinda. The other one is later in
the song when Belinda is surrounded by about 2 dozen
blindfolded women who are hobbling around with their feet
loosely tied with scarves. Their hands are not tied, but
it was a really cute scene. I'm not familiar with the
Fleetwood Mac video.

Does anyone know if there is a scene in the DVD release of
"Ronin'. The IMDB says there is an alternate ending where
Deirdre(Natascha McElhone) is kidnapped by her former IRA
associates. I don't have a DVD player yet, so I can't find
out. I didn't see anything in the scene database.

Hi Folks!

A very late Merry Christmas to you all, or should I say "Happy Holidays" and I hope a Happy New Year also.

Thanks for asking "Fan of Rob", indeed I am still around, but have just been lacking in motivation to update, that and lack of time! But alas, I found some of both and have done a large update just before we all go offline thanks to Y2K (whoever he is).

Story's section updates, As is the Fake's area. The Chloro section has a new addition, and the one you have all been waiting for. Four new sets of caps in the Gallery 3...

Lisa Dwan ... Mystic Knights Of Tir Na Nog
Christine Kapetan ... Tear it Down
Katleen Kinmont ... The Art Of Dying
Kate Rodger ... The Protector

Also noticed that your front door via Tripod had been deleted, those guys suck! Haven't a clue between them. One last thing, their is nothing in the alternative ending to Ronin. In fact it's a bit violent, great film though! Later :))

LOTF:

C'mon, LOTW, if you'll look at all the other sites that have
been shut down by other freebie ISPs, you'll see that they
were all shut down for content -- politically incorrect
content. Of course they'd all deny it to the last breath, but
it's exactly like the old Soviet Union censoring
Solzenitsyn's books for obscenity. Everybody knows what the
game is here.

Fortunately, in a weird sort of way, Dreambooks is so
unreliable that maintaining any kind of consistent discussion
on it has become impossible. Being shut down from Dreambooks
is like being bumped off a berth on the Titanic...

Time to express our DID hopes for the new year. Number one is
a gimme:

1. I hope Brian's page gets to a new site before Dreambooks
shuts it down or Dreambooks collapses from its own technical
incompetence.

2. I hope that the writers of TV shows and movies continue to
get a clue about the extraordinary psychological power of DID
scenes. I hope we see more of them, with more writhing and
mmmphing and more imaginative bondage and gagging.

3) I hope in particular that the folks who produce late-night
sexy movies for Cinemax and Showtime and the retail markets
get a clue about bondage scenes. Compared to them, TV writers
are incredibly sharp and on point about bondage scenes. After
all, the late night sexy movies are all about titillating
audiences, and slo-mo sex scenes are nice, but if you want to
make your flick stand out, you've got to innovate. Along
those lines, I'd like to see some nude hogties, some nude
spreadeagles and some gags during sex scenes. An O ring gag
or a pantie gag would certainly set a precedent or two.
Furthermiore, when they do have a bondage scene, I'd like to
see the camera take plenty of time to gloat over it, just as
they do during the sex scenes.

This all seems childishly obvious to me, but the guys who
make soft-core porn are expert at Not Getting It.

4. I'd like to see more naked women everywhere.

5) I'd like to see some commercial video makers get with the
whole plot and characterization thing and make some bondage
videos that amaze us all with their powerful stories.

6) I'd like to see bondage show up in more comedy venues,
where the humorous nature of the material permits more
stringent bondage, as in the caps of Whoops Apocalypse DB
sent me the other day. (Thanks, DB!)

7) I'd like to see the lines between sexy movies and
mainstream movies continue to blur. Along those lines, I'd
like to see talented soft-core porn actresses like Kira Reed
get some shots in mainstream films, and I'd like to see any
talented hard-core porn actresses who might be out there get
a shot in mainstream, too. With a resulting increase in the
sexual heat and DID cntent of mainstream films, of course.

8) I'd like to see the anti-sex (and not so coincidentally,
anti-bondage) feminists wake up and figure out the whole
consensuality, fantasy vs. reality thing, and enter into the
realm of bondage as if they had passed through some ethereal
curtain and found the land of their own dreams.

Greyman’s First Annual Rants and
Raves

I thought I’d finish up 1999 with a few thoughts about
various things:

RANTS TO:

  1. BUFFY and Sarah Michelle “I don’t do gag scenes”
    Geller.
  2. Martial Law for not finishing up the Kelly Hu DiD story
    line.
  3. ABC for canceling SNOOPS before the gals could get in a
    full treatment scene.
  4. MYSTERY MEN for the big fake out and DUDLEY DO RIGHT
    for being total crapola.
  5. That Hispanic channel for canceling ANGELES just as it
    was starting to produce.
  6. The Dallas Cowboys for being overpaid and
    underachieving once again.
  7. Finally, a big razz to the film writers and producers
who don’t write gag scenes for Jennifer Lopez, Catherine
Zeta Jones, and Jennifer Love Hewitt!

RAVES TO:

  1. WALKER, TR for being our consistent ever dependable
    source of DiD material.
  2. DOOL for a strong finish and Sunset Beach for a good
    year.
  3. Kelly HU for best tape gag and fight scene of 99.
  4. Cameron Diaz for completing the Full Treatment hat
    trick.
  5. Donna D’Errico for the ball-gag.
  6. Brian R for the great work here and all my regular
trading partners. (You know who you are.)
  7. Last but certainly not least, CHARISMA CARPENTER for
one hell of a great scene to end the year with!

Nice set of rants and raves, greymann. I'd add a rave for
Gina Gershon's extended writhing and screaming scene in
Palmetto.

A bondage acquaintance o' mine commented that it could be
that comedy allowed for more extensive DID treatment, because
it's lighthearted in nature.

RE: Comedy and DID scenes

I just finished taping "The Linguini Incident" and I have to
agreee. Rosanna Arquette plays a would-be escape artist who
has much to learn of her craft. In a scene establishing this,
she shackles her ankles together, balances on a stool, puts a
noose dangling from a lighting fixture above her around her
neck, then cuffs her hands behind her back. Unfortunately,
she drops the key concealed in her clothing and in an
instinctive lunge to retrieve it, falls off the stool.

She's only saved from strangling because the lighting fixture
gives way under her weight. Sprawled on the ground, the noose
around her neck still prevents her from reaching the key, and
a phone call from a co-worker gives her the humiliating
opportunity to beg him to come release her from her self-
bondage.

There are a couple of other bondage scenes here, but this one
alone was lengthy and spectacular by mainstream standards.

Can anyone else come up with spectacular bondage scenes from
comedies that confirm the fact that the lightheartedness of
comedies allow for greater DID scenes?

BTW, there were a couple of very obvious dramatic gaffes that
kept the film from succeeding as much as it might have.
Casting David Bowie as the male lead was not a brilliant idea
-- he just stood around grinning wryly, and he wasn't
entirely convincing as a hetero, either. The other was more
DID related. There's a scene where Arquette is demonstrating
her talent onstage, in which she's chained up and locked in a
canvas bag. the scene is supposed to further establish her
incompetence at escape, but because Arquette is inside a
canvas bag for most of it, it loses a LOT of dramatic punch.
Basically we see David Bowie standing onstage beside a canvas
bag which occasionally bulges and flops about while
Arquette's frustrated voice issues from it. It's boring for
the talent scouts watching her, and it's boring for us too.

Much, much stronger would have been skipping the whole canvas
bag thing and have Arquette writhe about onstage in chains,
straining her body this way and that, her face in turns
focussed and despairing as she tries fruitlessly to escape,
her legs and arms straining against the chains.

Would have been a much better scene for us, too, but the key
is that the canvas bag just destroyed the dramatic intensity
of the scene -- and comedy depends on dramatic intensity,
too. It made a potentially funny scene boring.

It's a puzzler, because knowing the scene would be boring
isn't a matter of being intelligent -- it's just a matter of
not being stupid. All it would have taken is for someone to
say at some point, "Let's try it without the canvas bag,
maybe with a few more chains instead."

With a new year upon us I thought it would be a good time to post a list of upcoming cable reruns of series to look out for. Many of these have scenes and some I'm not sure about but here's a partial list of what's coming in 2000 and beyond. Start dates included when
available.

A&E: Night Court (1/4), Magnum P.I. (1/3), L.A. Law (1/4). Magnum starts with a marathon.

Bravo: Moonlighting (1/3 marathon) weekdays (1/4). Twin Peaks begins later this year.

Court TV: Wiseguy (1/2 marathon) weekends after that.

TNT: Pretender this year, PSI Factor in 2001 (sooner if it's not renewed for a fifth season.)

Nick: Beverly Hillbillies, Three's Company, Cheers, Barney Miller. And way down the road, Fresh Prince (2003).

TV Land: Harper Valley PTA (1/3), Open House (1/1), Misfits Of Science (1/1), Ironside (1/1), A-Team (1/1).

TV Land has also aquired rights to the Warner Brothers library which includes:

77 Sunset Strip, Surfside Six, Bourbon Street Beat, Hawaiian Eye, Maverick, Sugarfoot, Cheyenne, China Beach, Homefront, Prince Street, Spy Game, Mr. And Mrs. Smith, Life Goes On, F-Troop, Amazing Spiderman, Laugh-In,
Hotel, The F.B.I., Spenser For Hire, She's The Sheriff, Perfect Strangers, Tarzan, Shazam, The Flash, Wonder Woman, V: The Series, Max Headroom, Murphy Brown and many more.

The Warner Brothers deal is a long term one so it may be 10 years or more before some of these show up.

Oh, and since several people have asked, I'll put my e-mail address back up on my page. I was having a major spamming problem (all from the same person) right after I started the page that's why I took it down.

Philly Ed re: Scarecrow/Mrs. King: The Kate Jackson scene
was during the first season in an episode where she's
mistaken for a master spy (doesn't look like it's one of
this week's shows). The Martha Smith episode is called
"Matter of Choice" from the last season, when Kate Jackson
was just phoning in her performances each week.

Pat,
thanks for the description on Linguini Incident. I'd
always kind of figured there'd be more of David Bowie
"grinning wryly" than shots of Arquette in a muzzle.

Best
Scenes of the Year: I vote for the Jamie Lunar bathtub
scene in Melrose Place for the blatant gratuitous-nous(?)
of the whole thing, even if it was short. One show that
seems overlooked in the year-end voting is the Seven Days
episode where the girl sidekick manages to be B&G to a
chair upstairs while also being B&G downstairs in the same
house. THIS is why they invented science fiction.

Also,
I'm going to stubbornly stand by my assertion that the
1900's was the very BEST century for bondage. All that rah-
rah talk about the 1300's is just nonsense.

CM, that
Warner Brothers Library looks pretty damn sweet. TV Land
is looking real good for the next decade.

My New Year's
wish is that Dreambook wasn't the high bidder on the Y2K-
preparedness government contract.

There is a new damsel in distress site with amateur pics
and videos for sale that is worth checking out. It's
Counter Culture Video down in Florida at
www.counterculturevideo.com

A friend of mine passed along this idea, and I think it's
pretty cool if you've got a scanner, patience and some
artistic talent. A customizable version of the famous board
game, called "My-opoly'' lets you print a game board with
the photos and captions you want, the money is any currency
you want (ie. "ransom money''), and the good news/bad news
cards to carry any message.

He's got a playable TV damsel in distress version and
I've got the kit and I plan to put my models on the board
and have them over for a game. The downside is you can't go
out and market it (Parker Brothers sold you a game, not
rights) and there are probably not a lot of people you can
get up a game with.

I'm not the FJ who has been posting about music videos

Before the world ends (although i feel confident because they are parting like mad in Pakistan right now), I figured I'd put Asylum of Satan up in the special exhibits wing of the Hall. Additionally, I have inducted the movie Distant Cousins with Mel Harris. (You may know it as Desperate Motive

Happy New Year To All. I'll see you on the other side. Godspeed.

Linguini Incident: My favorite part of the self-
bondage/near strangulation scene was when she says
something like "And to prevent me from using my wily teeth,
I will insert this slice of pineapple in my mouth" and she
does.

I think the reason they did the chained-up-in-a-bag
scene that way is that bag escapes are standard fare for
escape artistes...and it didn't have to be Ms Arquette in
the bag for filming, nor did whoever was in the bag
actually have to be chained up. I would have preferred
some sort of abortive rope escape myself.

Here's to the
3rd Millennium--366 days and 7 1/2 hours away. Meanwhile,
Happy New Year!

...Rob.... Good to hear from you. I have tried to E-mail
you several times in the past month or so. ( it keeps
coming back " no user by that name") I too, am a big fan of
yours, and I do realize that I owe your web site a little
something. I have been working 7-12's for the last 2
months, and find it hard to write anything, under these
circumstances. E-mail me at your leisure. ....Thanks Brian,
for letting your forum be my emergency "hotmail".

Looks like the Sci Fi channel will be showing "Prey" every
Sunday starting Jan 9. There are a couple of good scenes to
be had, including one featuring the incredible Debra
Messing. I'm not sure what the episode names are however.
Anyone?

The other night "E" channel's SEARCH PARTY featured a
couple bikini clad girls in a watermelon seed-spitting
contest (plus a couple guys also). The catch was that they
had to get the seeds out of the watermelon without using
their hands. Solution-tie the hands behind the back!!!
the segement only lasted a couple minutes, but it was WORTH
IT!! Anyone else catch it?
Check out my website while you're at it.

Re: Great scenes of 1999

I've been watching "Hard Rain" and you know, Minnie Driver's
scene in it has to be the greatest DID dilemma of 1999. One
long, extended scene requiring extreme resourcefulness of
Minnie's character.

Rich:

Granted, canvas bag escapes are common escape artist fare,
but so are escapes without canvas bags. And typically,
escapes with bags happen pretty quickly -- just a few seconds
of bag-flopping to build suspense and out pops the escapee.
That's because escape artists are entertainers, too, and they
know the audience will get bored if they have to watch too
much bag-flopping -- something the makers of Linguini
Incident apparently missed, because it went of way too long.
Having Arquette out there to writhe and emote would have
helped a lot.

Happy New Year & Millenium & all that everyone!! It looks
like we're gonna make it!

So, in The Linguini Incident, would that pineapple slice in
Rosanna's mouth actually be considered a "gag"?

Just finished watching The Dentist 2 on Cinemax....all I
can say is..."nas---TEE!". She may have been bound with
tape to the dentist couch & gagged with that dentist
instrument for holding the mouth open (and briefly tape
gagged) but the scene was just way too painful to
comfortably watch. If you've never seen it, and you've
ever had that fear when going to the dentist of
him "hitting a nerve", watch out! Probably the only B & G
scene I've come across lately that I just can't bring
myself to keep!

Beautiful actress, great white gag, kind of lame ropework
thought. Lengthy with some good struggling. Nice scene.
