The end of 2007 will also bring the end of Monkey Cocktail. Personal responsibilities, obligations, commitments and opportunities will conspire to make continuing the band an unattractive proposition. The boys prefer to end with this incarnation of the band and finish out the year together. The band is working on putting together what will be the final dates for Monkey Cocktail, and we hope that you will join us in celebrating what has been a truly wonderful 10+ years with all of you. There is no internal strife that has led to this decision, it is simply life interfering with, what for us has been, a great and meaningful time. The music that we have made together and played together, and the times that we have shared together and with all of you have created what will be a lifetime of fond memories. The boys are friends and will remain friends, and there is a great deal of mutual respect amongst the members of the band. All of the guys in the band plan to continue actively playing and it is hoped that the boys will have an opportunity to play together again one day. It is our sincere hope that during these last several months together that we will see you at one of these last few shows so that we might thank you in person for all of your love and support and for choosing to share some of your nights with us. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to play for you and to have met so many wonderful people along the way. If you have not seen the band for a while, or maybe you have never seen the band at all, we hope that you might make it a point to share at least one last evening at one of these last few months of shows with us. you did, indeed, hear Monkey Cocktail on XM Radio, Channel 41, The Bone Yard on the Metal Sludge hour. The hosts where Alex Grossi, guitarist for Quiet Riot, and Troy Patrick Farrell, Drummer for Tramp's White Lion among others. Troy is MCT Bass Player, Shawn's, younger brother. Troy was cool enough to think of us while helping to put the show together. We did not know when the show would air until last minute, and even then, we could not be sure that MCT would definately be included, as XM and Sludge have editorial over-ride. | Comments: | Highland Fest was awesome and so was Bin Willy's, it was nice to hear more monkey cocktail in those sets, though Tony's bass drum seemed like it took a short break there in the beginning of the set, I felt that he proved for a second time that he is a very tight drummer and everyone should appreciate and admire the fact that he is able to not only fill the void in MC, but play just as good if not better than Bobby. Bobby had eight years as a the Drummer of MC and he is very talented, but Tony is going to be part of Monkey Cocktail as they progress to become an even better Rock Band, I say that because the new songs are in my opinion the best monkey cocktail to date, thats saying alot, because Twisted and Glisten were Superb.
I just hope that maybe MC will play some more shows soon I cant get enough of you guys |

| Comments: | JT, thanks for weighing in. We are sorry that you felt that we were not up to speed, I would only ask that you give us another shot. There were near 500 people at Bin Willy's the week before, and by the response, I think that things are headed in the right direction. Not to make excuses, but we were not able to fine tune before the Highlandfest show, and with this arrangement as new as it is, that will have an impact. Bobby played with this band for eight years and that can not be replace in two short months. Tony is a great drummer, if you can't see it yet, give the band some time to grow together and it should become evident.

There has been no serious discussion with, or about the drummer from History's End joining Monkey Cocktail. The guys in History's End are friends of ours and this rumor needs to stop now. If anyone reading this hasn't seen the band, I want them to know that they won't see or hear a better band than Monkey Cocktail! I know that's a big statement so don't just take my word for it...get to one of their shows the first chance you get! Their original tunes are solid and infectious. You just can't help but want to move and sing along. And if they cover a song, they take it and make it their own as if it was written for them. | Comments: | HELLO! Well, let's see....got some irons on the fire. It looks like Labor Day Weekend we will be doing a show with WIIL 95.1FM up at Papa's (Papa Gus') in Salem, Wisconsin. I believe that is the right town, anyway, should be that Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, September 1st. Outdoor gig (let's hope it don't rain this time!), multi-band line-up of all your "local" favs, good food, good drink, good bands, good times! Come out, it will be a blast. When it is a lock, I will have it posted on the gigs page. Working on a show or two at the Brat Stop in Kenosha, probably October, we shall see. Also have a show in the city (Chicago) in the works, have a tentative, will let you know when it is confirmed, cool gig, though. Also, working on a couple of shows at Finke's in Highland, again, I will post as these shows confirm. It's funny, it's like that....no gigs, than gigs,...just takes a little time to lock this stuff down. We actually play this Saturday in the City for a private party, gig just came thru, I have no details, but if I found out that it is an open party, I will post atleast an address, if not directions. Anyway, Jack went into some deal about traveling in Mexico, Breast Implants, some personal stories of people, places and things,.....He was killing me, I almost shot Pepsi out my nose! He had the group of us laughing our asses off! Funny, and he was sober....What a great weekend! | Comments: | Friends, well tonite and tomorrow, Goodfella's in Valparaiso. I would go into my cool room speech, but that's not really the deal, the deal is that the people that come to see us at Goodfellas are fun people to party with! We have a good time playing here, cuz y'all come out and get crazy. Anyway, we play Friday (tonite) and Saturday (tomorrow) and then the MCTail calendar is WIDE open, meaning, we have no more gigs scheduled.....bummer.
