I had to learn how to walk, talk, read, write, count, spell, drive (yes I said drive -after 9 years, and cook allover again. I can promise you the road will be long & hard, but it will also be good, when you stop to remember all the millions of little obstacles you went though that are now behind you. | Thoughts: | Tim: I have been spending a lot of time lately reading about Christopher Reeve, Superman. As you will remember he had a bad fall from a horse and was told he would never walk again. He is proving them wrong. He was able to take steps in a pool just before his 50th birthday last month. He is defying all science and logic and predictions. He has written a new book called "Nothing Is Impossible." He has always been an inspiration to me and now even more so. I know by his success that there is nothing that is impossible. Just as certainly, as I have told your sweet mom, you will soon be back to your old self, and Im told that was a pretty sweet "self." God Bless you Tim and give you the strength to do what you need to do to come back to full health to your loving family. We have never met though I have visited your site often, and having come into association with your mom over the past months, I feel like I know you. There are so many people who need you and they are waiting for you. When you are up and around I will be in the line of people who want to hug you and introduce myself to you.

We now have given your story to our churches, to the SW Missouri Cowboys for Christ chapter and to the Missouri Cowboy Poets Association. You are being lifted up in prayer by a lot of folks you don't even know. God wants to answer our prayers. He stands waiting for us to ask HIm for what we need, so that He can supply it. When things are beyond human efforts, that is when God moves to solve the situation. When things are impossible, God makes them possible and thus He receives the glory. He Rides Beside Me I've been something of a rover, seems like I've been all over, and I have met misfortune on the way. In many of my rambles, I've taken lots of gambles, It's a wonder that I'm still alive today. By rights, I shouldn't be alive, things happened I could not survive, yet somehow I got up and walked away. I've been bucked off on my head, and could've wound up dead, but I've kept on a-going, come what may. I don't have a charmed life, and my portion has been strife, but I take what life gives me day by day. After many a transfusion, I've come to the conclusion, That Someone rides beside me every day. I'm not a pew jumper, or a preaching Bible thumper, but bear with me as I have my say; The reason I've survived, and somehow stayed alive... Is that Someone rides beside me every day. I could have fallen far below, once when I misjudged the snow, and the cornice that I stood on gave away. As I dangled from the ledge, I looked down the mountain's edge, and clinging to a root, I paused to pray. A stray bullet knocked a stick out of my hand just-that-quick! I was pretty doggone lucky you might say. But, I think my life was spared, because Somebody cared, That One who rides beside me every day. There were days when my ticker couldn't have been sicker, but my heart kept right on beating anyway. I'm a walking billboard, that says there is a Good Lord, Someone who rides beside me every day. When my allotted time is up, and He says, "Well, that's enough." He'll send angels down to carry me away. But until that time comes around, and I am Heaven-bound, I have One who rides beside me every day. Come back to us. Get well soon. Neal Torrey |

We have been praying for Tim and our church's 3 prayer chains have been praying also. We know that all things work together for good to them who love the Lord and we are trusting in that as well as many other scriptures. Also, especially for the families, we will not be given more than we can bear through Christ who strengthens us. We trust that the good Lord will show the doctors what they can do that will help Tim to continue to improve. Your Mother comes to the Payson Care Center and sings and plays with us on Tuesdays. We are missing her, but know that she is where she should be for now. I have looked for the picture that I would like to send and so far haven't found it. I will look in another picture box tomorrow and see if it is in there. In the meantime, I want you to read Psalms 121 to your Mom and Dad since you said you were reading the e-mail messages to them. "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore." This scripture surely tells us that if we look up to Him, He will help us and keep us, even to the extent of preserving us as we come and go. | Thoughts: | We went through a very similar experience when our 18 year old son, Kevin, fell off of his skateboard and received
a severe skull fracture. Sadly, he passed into the spirit world three days later (Jan. 6, 2001), never regaining consciousness. All the time we were with him, prior to his passage into the Savior's arms, we talked to him, and I know he heard us.
