I loved the Bugaloos as a little girl and still love them. I wish TV Land would show it. It's sort of strange but throughout the years, as I grew up, one of their songs would just sort of play in my head without my consciously bringing it up. "Fly Away With Us" was my favorite song. I had such a huge crush on 'IQ'. I think he's just so handsome! And I love Joy. She's all the delight and purity of soul I'd like to be.

I remember the Bugaloos as one of the first TV shows I watched. I was only four at the time, but the memory stuck with me. I'm having a great time seeing the whole series on DVD. Lovely show, great cast. Glad to hear that they're all doing well now.

I have been racking my brain trying to remember the Bugaloos Show. I asked my sister if she remembered it. I even asked my mom and my husband and neither one could help me. Finally I find it. I am 33 years old and I am so proud to have watched the show growing up. I wish it would come back on television so my son was able to have watched it and we would have had something in comon to talk about. Now adays the cartoons/shows are to old for the kids and the kids are to young to be watching. Thanks a lot!!! A loyal Fan for Years!!!!!!!!!!!

I grew on Sid & Marty Kroft shows every Saturday morning when I was a kid. I recently was able to purchse some of the videos of the old shows I loved to watch.
The Bugaloos's has to be my all time favorite program the Kroft's had created!!! I am thrilled to know there are others out there that remember what a great show this was, and the special memories and Joys (no pun) it brought into our lives.
Keep the website and information going! THIS IS FANTASTIC!

I bought the DVD set for my kids and my 7 yr old daughter had watched all the episodes multiple times. I remember the songs as if I heard them yesterday. I had the album and of course the lunchbox. What marvelous memories for me and great enjoyment for my kids. I think Courage was probably my first crush!

Well its pretty evident on this site that "Joy" was every boys first "crush" ...Yes Its true she was the first actress on TV that I always thought of. I always looked forward to the next episode to see her...So cool to hear of what they areup to today...My little sister liked "IQ" at the same time too...I hope someday they get together at some type of convention here in the States some day. I'd be there!!

Although I was only about 10 years old when it debuted, but I developed a childhood crush on Joy, and that kept me watching every time it came on. I would like to thank those who created this website for all the soundbytes and photos of the cast, and for updating their whereabouts. My kids have never had the opportunity to see the show, and I am hoping, with the advent of DVD, that I can, once again, become that same 10-year-old who first watched the show.

I was just talking to one of my friends a few days ago and expressing my love of The Bugaloos from my childhood. I used to have the album, the books, a Bugaloos lunch box...:)
Talking to my friend brought so many memories of the Saturday morning shows that I used to dearly love.
Of corse I had to "Google" the Bugaloos and I found this site. I'm so glad that so many others out there share those fond memories of I.Q., Joy, Courage, Harmony, Sparky and the rest of the crew. Then some of other favorite shows of those long ago childhood days were mentioned by several others and those programs started playing thru my mind! :)
THANKS SO MUCH for this site. Now to go order some DVD's and to replace that ol' album I so fondly remember.
Love and Laughter!

We were actually talking it about it at an event last week and were surprised by the number of people who did remember. I have recently ordered quite a few of the DVD sets and look forward to sharing them with younger folks in my family. What a hoot!

We never missed it. Glad to see others out there who remember it. It was really a fantastic part of my childhood tv watching and has stayed with me all these years.
Best to all,
Leslie

Howdy! I remember fondly watching the Bugaloos when I was a kid (born in 1968). The show was repeated a few years later, which is when I saw it. I can STILL sing the theme song and even taught it to my daughter. I've especially enjoyed "surfing" the Bugaloos website. Thanks, Bill, for putting it all together! There's several other shows that have popped up in my memory that I used to watch as well, and I'm glad to have remembered them.

I've been meaning to apologize for my previous comments on the guestbook. I was rather inappropriate. I guess I told too much. Since the Bugaloos are involved with this site, I felt I may have embarrassed them to the Nth degree, especially John "IQ" McIndoe, who's got that "Science Of Sound" thing ON THIS SITE. I'm very sorry, Big John. I just had to vent my feelings on how cute "Courage" & "IQ" were. Today's "heartthrobs" are such jerks, all looks but no sweetness & charm (and those who have some charm are laughed at-or worse-because they're in "Boy Bands"). That's why The Bugaloos are more endearing than guys of my generation (Gen-X). I apologize for my comments. This is truly a cool site. It has a sweet, etheral, Aquarian Age "faerie" quality (I see them more as Fae than creepy crawly insects). They're not just a Mod or Hippie thing they're for everyone. The Bugaloos make the most enchantingly sweet "Nature Spirits" around. I give them my love, epecially charming "IQ" & cuddly "Courage".

My memory of the Bugaloos is so far back in my childhood, I thought I'd imagined it. I could only remember how much I loved Joy and the episode when she got her foot caught in the sticky flypaper. I have attached an erotic feeling to her getting tied up and gagged a lot. Hmmmm. Now I know where it comes from! Thanks for the delightful, enlightening site.

We both loved the show when we were growing up and now our own kids are able to see it on DVD. Our 2 1/2 year old daughter, Anna especially loves it and it's so cute to see her "fly" around the living room and sing the songs.
Thanks, Bugaloos!

My first crush was on Caroline Ellis. I have a few of the Krofft show tapes and my two children, 4 and 3 years old, want to watch my two Bugaloos episodes all the time!
I enjoyed many of the Krofft children's shows, but The Bugaloos always had a special place in my heart.

Now why would a show that was made 35 years ago suddenly pop into my mind? It was a wonderful show with catchy tunes and good values for developing child's mind, that's why. Of course, as with many others, "Joy" caused me many a sleepless night!! Her beauty is still remarkable after all these years.

Anyway I decide to google the Bugaloos and I come across this website. I can't believe how beautiful Caroline Ellis still is after all these years....(man I had the biggest crush on her!) I think that it is time a Bugaloos reunion TV show. It would make my day!
Bugaloos forever!

Thanks for this site! I loved this series as a kid--it was so sweet and charming, and the stars were just adorable! It was one of those great little series that you could sit children in front of and not have to worry about what they'd see, plus they'd learn a new song and maybe pick up on a lesson about charity, love and kindness. Pity that they don't make them like this anymore.

i grew up in new zealand and i saw this show as a young child, i remember it was my very favourite. the combination of the three guys, one girl, music, english accents, flying, living in the sky, the fab theme tune etc. what more could you want? but i was beginning to think i had imagined it all as i couldn't find anyone else who remembered it, and it sounds almost rude when it is spoken rather than written; i got some rather funny, puzzled looks!...until today:) it all came flooding back as soon as i saw that scary soundbite of the witch eucalyptus saying "the BUGALOOS?" then i remembered more details like the girls name was bonita etc, and so i have become almost evangelical in my quest to tell the rest of the world about this amazing programme.

I enjoyed the Letters you got from her. They were really cool. I have been on this site for 3 hours now and I still haven't seen everything, I'll be back. Thanks for the site and God bless. Michael

I loved the website. What an instant flashback to being
9 years old!! My brother and I loved the Bugaloos, especially "Joy", of course! In my completely biased opinion, it stands up very well after 35 years, compared to the junk they put on American TV on Saturday mornings
nowadays - nothing but half-hour toy commercials disguised as programming.

The sites looking great Bill! I've visited here a few times over the years but never really signed the guestbook I guess. It's nice to see so many people who enjoyed the show as much as I did growing up.
I really wish they would do some type of reunion show so we can see all the cast members and maybe have a meet & greet session with them or something. The bugaloos actors were a huge part of my childhood growing up and made a very good impact on me. I only wish todays TV was as good as it was back then.
Being the impressionable age of 8 when the show first aired Caroline "Joy" Ellis was my first crush too. It was a tough one to get over but my first actual girlfriend resembled Caroline very much lol.
I've caught a few of the shows on TV Land when they were airing them and let my children stay up to watch them. Like me they were impressed with the colorful costumes, lights and "pretty cool flying people" ha ha ha.
My sincere thanks to Bill for making this site and letting me revisit my childhood many times over. My special thanks also to Caroline and the rest of the cast for bringing an incredible amount of happiness into my childhood and my adult life as well.

Just wanted to say that the Teleconference on Sunday was a real blast! Bill, thanks again for the e-mail reminder.
I was having such a good time listening that I completely forgot to chime in myself! It sounded like a family reunion! It was cool to hear everyone's voice and what they have been up to.
This show had a very positive impact on me growing up and it's a shame these types of shows are in short supply these days. Looking forward to the next reunion! Bugabugabugabugabugabugabugabuga...

Thanks for the web pages on a favorite show of mine
that I thought was lost to history. You probably hear
that alot.
Thanks for the wav files of Caroline Ellis. She
sounds just as I remeber her. Ok, I was 8 years old at
the time but she looks and sounds the same.
Thanks to you and Mark for putting on the tele
conference. At first I was hoping to find some pieces
but have found so much more.
Caroline sounds amazed but happy to have so many
fans. It was probably just a kids show for her but
they did a really good job and left me with good
memories I have enjoyed for three decades.
Thanks for all you work.
