| Comments: | I would love to know if you know who your Moses Ross's parents and brothers were. My Rosses came from SC>AL. In the Alabama census records (about 1810 or 1820) there are several Ross men listed in one of the Alabama counties--and it may very well have been your Rosses were in. One of the Rosses is Hugh Ross. I believe he is my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandfather. If you have any other information to share, I hope you will. You can see my family tree at my website listed above. I do not have Hugh Ross listed in my family line, because I can't find definite documentation.

I have found them on 1910 and 1920 census. I think Ernest had a son (William J. Ross) before he married my grandmother. Looking for info on Ernest's parents. One census said his father was from Tn. and one said Oh. Both said his mother was from Tn. One said Ernest was from Tn. one said he was from Ky. My father John Dee Ross was born in Ok. in 1911. I'm trying to trace a Wade C Ross, he would be around 80 years old. During WWII he flew Mustangs over here in England. In June 1945 he baled out of one and 59 years later we have found the buried remains of his aircraft. My mom's family has already traced their roots and little is known about my dad's side. His dad's name was Carl Alexander Ross and was married to Tressie Hill. I know very little of his family, he has 2 sisters...Dorothy and Velma Louise and 1 brother Charles Preston. I have never met his sister Velma Louise, as she left home when she was 18 or so and was last known to be living somewhere in Texas, I would think she is in her 50's now. We are all from Arkansas and if anyone knows of this family...it would be nice to hear because my dad passed away in December of 2002 and it seems that he wasn't too close to his family. Thank you. |

I am a little puzzled by the entries under David Higgins II (my great grandfather). At your item 4 you show Marilyn Higgins married Harlan V. Fairlamb. My records show, and I can remember my grandfather referring to his sister as Marion married to J. Remington Fairlamb. My grandfather was Lucius C. Higgins ( item 5) born 3/28/1860 in Washington, D.C. Died 5/3/1937 in Mountain Lakes, NJ. His children were Gilbert Henry (1894-1973) and Iris D. (1898-1961). I have no record of items 6, 7, and 8. |
