| Comments: | I just read your thoughts on the explotation of Calvin and Hobbes and I am blown away by your integrity. I value that highly in people and to see what was passed over in the name of integrity is thrilling.
I am a couple of years older than you but was a fan of C/H from the first panel I ever read. Lately I have rediscovered the duo on 'Go Comics' and have completely enjoyed them all over. I have to wonder; what kind of man did Calvin grow up to be? I picture him at 29, teaching English at a small high school. Married (to Suzie?) with two little ones of his own. He goes over to care for his mother's place once a week (his dad passed away a few years before) and they have mom over once a week. While at his mom's he will always go down to the basement and go back into the far corner, open a box and pull out Hobbes. Hobbes is always in his mind, talking and advising, but on these weekly visits the speak face to face. Well, just noodling around in my mind. Thank you for the blessing of Calvin and Hobbes. | Comments: | My son learned to read by enjoying Calvin and Hobbes. One of his Christmas books was always an anthology of strips.He even dreamt of becoming a cartoonist one day. Now he is off to college and he said he would like to have a pet tiger. I suggested that we get a Hobbes doll, only to find that they don't exist. I will have to find an "ersatz" Hobbes to send with him on his scholarly adventures. He truly believes he has a Calvin side to himself. And he could use a sidekick like Hobbes as he goes away from home for the first time.
Oh how we both loved snuggling up together and reading these comic strips. Long live Calvin and Hobbes in our hearts. Lydia |

| Comments: | Everyone has inside of them inner child that is just dieing to get out , however, in this maddening world it is squashed and tucked away in some dark realm of space within us, cartoon stripes like Calvin and Hobbes, draws out the inner child within us and releases the memories of our childhood, through Clavin and his wonderful unsurpassed imagination, through his everyday little antics, I am touched and can relive my childhood and who has'nt ever had a little stuffed Hobbes, in some form of a little stuffed toy. May this cartoon stripe continue forever, so we can always have the chance to relive and visit our childhood. |
