We have enjoyed our visit to yor wonderful house. We truly felt like we were in the Garden of Eden. We now have a new standard to measure up to for the guests that stay at our house. This was the perfect spot to celebrate the 50th Birthday! We'll take home wonderful memories which we'll cherish for many years to come.
Thank You! Diane & Charlie

Comments:We give sincere thanks for a treasure trove. Of rainforest, breakfast and 2 friendly dogs And lime-trees so big you could cut them for logs! We loved colling off in the saltwater pool And thought that the "wrinkle-free" photos were cool Your house is so full of unique, stylish items And your humour would just make the saddest heart lighten. We're sorry we're leaving so early but then With only one airline, it's hard to pretend (Ansett demise) That we'll get home at any respectable hour (We'll be up so early - no time for shower!!) We leave with memories we won't forget So you reckon we'll be back again - yes, you bet! Many thanks and best wishes to you both Peter & Wendy Victoria, Australia

Comments:When we drove into your "Nutmeg Grove" we knew we'd found a real treasure trove. Welcomed by a trio of stately "thick-knees" strolling elegantly through the lime orchard. We found our queen room elegant & white, where we spent more than one restful night. Bountiful breakfasts were prepared by Ingrid. If we'd stayed much longer - we'd have large love-handles to rid. Terry regaled us with many interesting words & showed us a lot of beautiful new birds. It is with regret that we must go on our way. We hope if the good lord is willing and wise we shall return for a lovely reprise. Thankyou, thankyou....Jack & Sophie USA

Comments:You renewed my faith in the internet. After 2 terrible experiences, I arrived at this fabulous dreamhouse, with excellent host & hostess. Breakfasts that give you enough calories to last you the whole day. I should also mention the beautiful tropical surroundings & the pool...wow. Wish I could buy one your paintings Ingrid. Wish I had a bigger suitcase to buy the local arts also. Thanks for making my stay so relaxing and memorable. Shelley Thomson (the Canadian ay) Vancouver ay.

Comments:TRAVELLERS BEWARE! It is imperative that you pace yourself properly as you sit in the morning for breakfast. Just as soon as you have finished with the 3 course breakfast which awaits you in the morning - and are feeling pleasantly full - around the corner appears course #4 and soon after course #5. All so amazing as to defy any attempt to resist. - Start slowly or else one will explode. Enjoy! T&I, thanks so much for your gracious hospitality. I have worked in the resort travel industry since 1985 and it is now a rare treat to arrive somewhere that surprises me with it's elegance and comfort. What a special place you have here. We are grateful that you open your home and welcome passing strangers in. We look forward to returning some day. Thanks again. Dan & Emily Seattle, Washington.

Comments:One of the extra benefits we can obtain from a B&B experience in addition to Nutmeg Grove's beautiful vistas, sounds, your lovely home decorated with such beautiful paintings and terrific food is new foundfriends across the world. Our stay with you in spite of cyclone "Steve" was wonderful for Bill and me - a chance to experience the rainforest, Banjo, Panda & Tigger and your relaxing grotto pool. Such fun we had with Marly & Gary (the other guests) and the two of you surviving cyclone "Steve". Getting to know the Douglas Clan of Nutmeg Grove will be one of our special Australian memories and Bill promised me we will be back.

The feeling was like when you have dreamed a dream for a long time & it has finally come true. It was like stepping into a fairy tale story book. Thankyou for allowing us to be part of this dream. This experience of Cairns was totally different to our previous experiences & definetely a lot more enjoyable. You have taken so much care in building your home inside & out. Comments:To Ingrid (our B&B -"bloody beautiful" lady!) & Terry. What a find when surfing the internet - this wonderful place. Thankyou so very much for a wonderful stay. This has been so much more fun than a hotel or apartment. It's been a great experience staying in your beautiful "Queenslander" and meeting all the other guests. Hearing local stories & years from Terry, enjoying very tasty brekkies and dinner, extremely comfy, cosy bed, exciting bird calls at midnight & dawn and the sound of big dewdrops splashing down on the plants and verandah in the mornings.
Well you certainly did everything right - fantastic weather, beautiful & relaxing surroundings, trouble-free bookings of everything. Hope we can return one day.

Comments:Something witty? A little ditty?
So that you can remember us.
It really is such a little fuss.
Here we go, just read below.
...It was raining, it was pouring, Cyclon Steve was still aroaring.
When we called to say we're here (and just to see if you were still there!)
Ingrid said to have no fear, just make sure you have lots of wash and wear.
It was dark and it was eerie, Water racing on the road, but on we drove -
Then we saw their light so cheerie. It beamed right out from Nutmeg Grove.
And the guy with the big welcoming glass and the big wide smile - Why that was Terry!
A warm and wet welcome and a truly wonderful stay with both of you, Ingrid & Terry at Nutmeg Grove.
Bob & Carole were "Spellbound" by your kind hospitality.
Wonderful memories we take to Ottawa, Canada.

How can we thank you for your great advice & help choosing adventures? Your counsel was impeccable, and our vacation here in Cairns was perfect.
