| Comments: | It has been 6 years since our visit (May 2002) as young "almost engaged" lovebirds from the States. We left Cairns for Sydney, and got engaged in front of the Sydney Opera House just a few days later. We have been happily married over 5 years now and have two delightful little boys! We still fondly remember Nutmeg Grove, and Ingrid and Terry, as part of what we still call our "dream vacation". Can't wait to get back someday!

Your wit and sense of humor made us feel right at home. the accomodations were impeccible. The breakfasts were beyond fantastic. The tour and beach reccomendations that you made were also top notch. Because of you, our trip to Australia ended on such a high note.
Thank you. Rick, Gary and Ronda |

| Comments: | Rainforest, pool, all the sunshine you could possibly want. Cool nights for sleeping and of course PUPPIES. What more could you ask for?
They say that location is everything and in this case it is very true. Your beautiful home, nestled in the rainforest is an ideal place to forget your troubles...or as John would say "worries" and truely be on holiday. The ambiance and company were a wonderful treat, not to mention the huge breakfasts. We are going to have to do a lot of hiking in NZ to work it off. Thankyou for sharing your home....Kim & John, Osgoode, Ontario Canada. |

| Comments: | We loved sleeping so close to all those rainforest noises! You could've told us the frogs in the downpipes were some sort of exotic animal and we would've been that more impressed :)
Enjoyed playing with the pups when we miss our own. Also my husband thanks you for sparking my interest in quilting again. Wonderful stories and hospitality, even at 5am morning departure. Thank you so much. Heid & John, Fort Collins, Colorado USA |

Ingrid, your ability to pick just the right place is amazing. Cliff's first time scuba diving on the reef is an adventure he, nor I, will ever forget. I couldn/t forget to mention the Skyrail & train ride - simply beautiful. As for bungy jumping - Cliff will remain "Bungy King". Thank you again for such wonderful memories. | Comments: | Your great website with the beautiful picutres of Nutmeg B&B and you two also on the website, got my husband making our reservation right away. You two are great and we enjoyed staying here. The house is "grand" we leave here & go home to our little house and cold & snow. You two did a great job on building and Ingrid you could go into Interior Design and we love your paintings.
The breakfast every morning were very very good and it was nice to walk out of our bedroom & have breakfast waiting. Besides being a good painter & cook and personality, Terry is so lucky to have such a great wife. And Terry your'r so calm and such a hard worker & nice to your guests and every so funny (I had a hard time understaing your aussie accent). We loved your doggs, your company and also the naughty shower. Have a Merry Christmas and a fabulous 2005. I love your Xmas tree. The largest tree I've ever seen in a house. Your website doesn't do you justice - the house is amazing - beautifully decorated & so very comfortable, especially that huge bed! Your meals were delicious - s0 much food!! this was a vacation of firsts for us - the rain forest, snorkelling on the reef - first, but not last. We'll be back!!! With love from Adrian & Donna |

we would like to thank you once again for the extraordinary 5 days that we could spent with you in your fantastic home. You pampered us and we felt better than home (Yes, Ingrid is a real mother!). | Comments: | Just a few words of thanks for a wonderful stay - much too short!
We cannot believe that you have in a mere decade, converted an open field into such a have of rest. You immediately converted two tired travellers to happy campers (with lost luggage) no money etc etc. We could not expect anything less from a couple who created such a paradise from scratch? Who else can turn blank canvass into beautiful art; turn fabric into teddy bears, turn sheet metal into mini coopers, be geographers, ornithologists, and on and on, at moments notice. We wish you every success in your endeavours & hope you continue to enjoy your guests. We hope one day to meet you both again, either here or in the UIS. Maria & Colin |

We could not have been made more welcome by Ingrid when we arrived & it didn't stop during the whole of our stay. What will we tell our friends? A magical place with great breakfasts, a place to relax & unwind. The peace & tranquility, the bird calls early morning - its a bit of heaven here . From Lyn & Bruce Sydney Australia. |

| Comments: | What a surprise when we arrived! A huge & beautifully decorated home surrounded by wonderful nature. The bed in our king-room was the largest we've ever had. But even more surprised us the very warm & friendly welcome by Ingrid, Terry & the dogs. Not to forget Julian (grandson) our guide through the rainforest! We felt like being with our family (more tasty breakfast than we could ever eat). Seen Ingrid's work on the computer, & the amazing videos, paintings etc. We've a lot to do to catch up at home to do our presentation photo show now.
Thanks for all of this. Christiene & Andreas,Vienna, Austria. |

tropical birds calling in the darkness before dawn, friendly furry dogs tumbling against our legs as they wrestle over the rubber squeaky toy, an almost-full moon glowing over the mountains as we enjoy hot tea before bed on the front verandah, warm delicious pancakes & sucking in air as you encounter a steaming chunk of apples, surrounded by sunlit green jungle, beautiful colours & warm hospitality. A little bit of heaven fell from out of the sky one day & nestled in a spot not very far away, when the angels saw it, it looked so peacefull there, they said 'suppose we leave it & call it "Nutmeg Grove". Best wishes & sincere thanks for everything. Joyce & Wesley. |

The lovely Mx Ingrid looked after all our needs & booked us on many great adventures. The "kids" wanted to paly each time we went outdoors & greeted us at the front porch on every trip to town. | Comments: | Yes we have our own native Nutmeg Trees in our rainforest. The nutmegs are much smaller than the nutmegs you buy in your local shops. However, the aroma is identical.
The migratory Torresian Pidgeons fly from the outer islands daily to feed on the nuts when in season. Only to return to the islands to feed their mates & young. Or bandicoots or other small critters beat us to these fruits, but we are not complaining. |

| Comments: | This is the most romantic place on the planet. The grounds are luxurious and the rooms very private. In one shower you feel like you are bathing in the middle of a rainforest but you are in complete privacy. It's an awesome experience. Never a trip to Australia without stopping at the Nut house (love the owner's Terry, Ingrid and the animals. Great food, delightful and fun couple who run this home are laid back, down to earth folks. They will teach you plenty about Queensland and offer you many things to explore in the area. Beautiful pool in the back of the estate and private tables and chairs with candles along paths in the rainforest to a small creekbed.
Just bring a coil, two glasses and a bottle of wine and listen to the sounds of nature. Hope this information is helpful to anyone who visits Queensland. Do it a B&B. It was my first experience and it is so much cozier than a hotel. Julianne & Bill Ziefle |

We've both enjoyed ourselves so much here we only hope our other accommodations can measure up. You may indeed see us pressed up against your windows begging for one of your excellent brekkies after we've left. From now on I'll be buying us some lovely candles (esp Sandelwood) to put through our house now. Totally inspired by the lovely artworks throughout. Will get out the old paintset once back home.
