| Comments: | Hi , I have heard so much good stuff about the caister weekender - really wanted to come last weekend - booked time off work - secured accommadation as it was too late to be onsite, but the two people that call themselves my friends who also at the time desperately wanted to go - let me down at the last minute - leaving it too late 4 me to arrange to go with anyone else or get a ticket- well ****** off as U can imagine - hence they are no longer on my xmas card list - was really looking forward to meeting like minded people - soul lovers and similar age - 40's but the closest I came to it was sunbathing on caister beach which was glorious on Sunday - but still wish I'd experienced the caister soul weekender - will be more prepared next May when I celebrate my 40th - let's see if I can find some REAl friends that don't mind a little adventure by then!!!!! |

We were in town on saturday and we ended up stalking some man untill we lost him because he had a caister top on and now tonight my husband came home and said he see a lady in the petrol station with loads of caister stickers in her car . We live in Aldershot and never bump into any of our caister family But its good to know the family is spread far and wide. Thats one of the great thing about caister you will always have family and feel like you belong no matter where in the world you are . |

A shoutout to anyone who remembers the bash in St Tropez in 81/82, a wild time was had by all. I miss all the crews and Britain in general, I have been living in America for nearly 20 years and the music/social scene over here is crap compared to home. They didn't call it GREAT BRITAIN for nothing. weekenders had beter keep going, my kids will be old enough to come to caister in four years on their own, they won't know what the funk hit them! I will attend the 35 year aniversary!!(probably with a zimmer frame). It is hard to believe Froggy isn't with us anymore, some of the best memories I have run with a soundtrack of him and Hilly. I have heard Master J on Unknown FM many times and indeed like the music he plays, I recall him saying on air a while back that he was attending Caister (so Pete I do believe he was there) it would have been great for him to name names,there is a glut of dj's who would love to step up to the plate and replace some of the existing dj's, would he be one? He is certainly entitled to his opinion and I would be interested to know more. Criticism given either way can be used to make the weekender better which ultimately me as a dj is what I seek to achieve and maintain in what I play. |

I was invited to go by Moosel Mick as he is a great bloke who I met on holiday in Spain and my god I was made to feel so welcome by everyone there that I am going again in September. The Moosels were great and the caister family were so friendly that I have made new friends all over. A special thanks to Linda Bell and Andy, plus the infamous Northern Soul Survivor, Angeleyes, Lee Cloney, Wendy Woo (those bacon butties plus cheese are the best I ever have had), Brian & Charlie for allowing me in at such short notice and last but not least The Moosels who enjoy themselve so much, it was a pleasure being with all you guys.
