Must comment on this web-site which i do think needs tidying up. Click on News, Pub News or Events and it's all very old stuff. Chris Fletcher |

| Comments: | Such a shame that Chris & Sue Rogers have been kicked out of the branch by May Arthur (backed up by Nik Antona). This is a total disgrace after the work they have done promoting Cider and for the branch, it's about time May & Nik are voted out or resigned for there behaviour.
So many people have come and gone from this branch because they cannot put up with the in-fighting & conduct of some of the senior branch members (May in particular). They wonder why they struggle to get support at the festivals & on the trips, etc - it's not hard to see why! I admit that they work hard for the branch, but it is there approach & conduct that is destroying Burton CAMRA. I must add that there are some excellent people working so hard for Burton CAMRA, I take my hat off to them. I am a lover of real ale, cider, CAMRA's aims & of Burton. It's about time the beer capital of Britain had a strong & well supported CAMRA branch & this won't happen until at least our chair-lady stands down. I am writing here what is echoed by so many people who don't or can't be bothered to speak out. It doubt this will spark a debate on here because not many people probably look at this part of the site, but hopefully the message will get through to those with blood on their hands & make them at least think about what damage they are doing. |

| Comments: | I love your website. I envy the history of the area that you live in. I am sorry to read about so many of the independent breweries being swallowed up by the large corporations. Coors is particularly rotten. I am going to Burton this August 15 and I look forward to seeing your town and enjoying several of your local ales.

| Comments: | Very nice site. My own personal memories go back to 1949 when I was taken round Ind Coope and Allsop's Brewery when I was only 3 years old. A terrifying thing at that age. But I remember seeing barrels on conveyor belts and that lovely smell of malt in the air. A huge furnace and bottling plant making a collossal amount of noise.
All very interesting - the one noise I couldn't stand was teh Couperage area where they were actually making barrels. Double Diamond was the first beer I ever tasted as a shandy in about 1958 at the age of 12. It was gorgeous as was a can of beer called Long Life. How I wish they were available today. |
